i'm down 1.3 buyins this session but yesterday night was a sick sick heater for about 8 buyins in about 500 hands so this is all good.
i played about 800 hands over four hours of 4 tabling.
was up a buy-in and then down 2 buy-ins, and more ups and downs ad infinitum... your usual swingy shit
posted a lot of hands and got a bunch of awesome comments. thanks a lot to everyone who was nice enough to provide his feedback. they are all greatly appreciated =D
key hands:
HAND 1: thought i'd bluff the turn. do i get called down by Qxs a lot at the river?
+ Show Spoiler +
HAND 2: i put him on only 99/44 here to beat me here so it's a call?
+ Show Spoiler +
HAND 3: gotta get it in?
+ Show Spoiler +
HAND 4: i got bitchowned AK vs. AA
+ Show Spoiler +
HAND 5: got AK in good =D
+ Show Spoiler +
HAND 6: i fold aces but i call this...
+ Show Spoiler +
i see that i am extremely vulnerable to overbets =O
also... touchpad + poker + four hours = tilt

hand 4 river bet is a spew just shove
when u bet 3.5 if hes ahead shoves you always call and lose 7.5 or w/e but if hes behind maybe he calls rather than shove and u win 3.5 only significantly less.
hes never gonna bluff over the river but u made |

just my thoughts
1 - I don't think betting on the turn there is a good idea unless you got a specific read on an opponent and you're doing it for a specific reason. the way I see it, you got a reasonable hand, and it may be the best hand but you have no way of knowing for sure. you don't want to build up the pot with your hand, and by betting the turn you're basically setting yourself up for a tough situation on the river if you get called.
2 - standard
3 - standard
4 - effective stacks are 133BBs, you have 123BBs left behind on the turn and the pot is 33bbs, your stack-to-pot ratio is ~3.7 and you've nearly put 10% of your stack in so you're basically at the commitment threshold. You have to decided here whether you want to commit yourself to this pot or not, and that's up to you and what you think your opponent's range is, your image, how the table's been running etc. by check-raising there you've committed yourself and on the river just shove.
5 - standard
6 - if you think he's getting out of line just 3bet him PF or raise his cbets up on flop. would you have been able to lay it down if a J came on the river? if you got notes that he's overaggro and will triple barrel bluff then well played but usually they're not pure bluffs anyway so I like to make them pay |

Hand 2 - turn check is horrible unless you're 90% sure he's going to bet |

Hand 1: If you want to bluff, ask yourself what you want to fold out and what you're repping. Given this board, he's never folding K or Q. So you're looking to fold 99-JJ, whereas you also make hands that you beat like 66 fold. So if you were really to bluff, I'd prefer you had AT (which has some outs at least), and not such a strong hand with lots of showdown value. This hand was actually played perfectly by villain because he knows you can't call with much that is worse than KJ on the flop, so in a way he pot controls on the flop while getting more value out of weaker hands later on (Qx, and 99 etc.).
Hand 2: would prob bet turn, if he's a nit i'd most likely fold if he raises
Hand 3: std
Hand 4: not sure about the turn c/r because it probably scares away worse aces and it's not like he has a big draw here or anything. I would just bet bet bet. Given pf though, I'd prob have lost a lot of money in this hand too since I put him on a weaker ace barring any other sort of read
