This year started off very well @ the beginning, however recently has been tough. whenever i run bad, i try to find more positives than negatives in it, and this is no exception. this is not a whining post, because im not upset about running bad. i made a deal with my girlfriend that if i can make 20k come beginning of may i dont have to get a summer job, which i think is definitely doable playing FR as i am. however, recently i just feel like all im doing is just trying to safely beat NL200 FR and none of my tiny stabs @ NL400 have gone well. that said, i always see higher stakes players making great reads and stuff, and all i feel i ever do is play my hands when i have them and fold them when i do not. it kinda becomes repetitive and i feel as if i am not progressing. i kind of want to get back into 6max and integrate that into my games because i want to begin getting better at poker and i want to start progressing as a player. does anyone have any advice to me as far as how to begin progressing/stop playing the mundane boring style of betting when i have it blah blah and learn to bluff, pick off bluffs, make solid reads, and all that stuff. i feel like i have the capability to do it, its just i never have. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

-thanks, shane.

play 1-2 days a week, or a few sessions every so often when you just 4 table. Since i've been doing this propbet and 24 tabling, i have barely any idea whats going on at any of my tables. If you drop table amounts down huge, you'll actually notice how people are playing there hands, betting patterns, get a better grasp on players ranges etc and just be able to destroy the multitabling nits by floating/bluffing/valuebetting them to death while they aren't even paying attention.

Eventually the more you get used to these spots, the more likely you are to notice them while palying lots of tables - but don't forget the main reason people play 92304832094839 tables is they give up those smaller +EV spots for a greater $/hr. If you are just playing robotic and betting when you have a hand/bluffing the obvious turn cards and folding otherwise you probably aren't playing optimally anyway

play less tables and discuss more theory with people i guess. CR videos. concentrate on getting better not on playing tons of hands.

I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance, by running away from the scene of an accident.
