Sup people.

So I decided to look back at my poker career:

Aug 2006 - Started playing (3$ Turbo SNG's, $4 MTT SNG) BR: ~ $50
Sep 2006 - Won a $4 MTT (6.50$ Turbo SNG's, $4 MTT SNG) BR: ~ $300
Okt 2006 - Starting cash games (NL10, NL25) BR: ~ $600
Nov 2006 - (NL50) BR: ~ $1000
Dec 2006 - (NL50) BR: ~ $2000
Jan 2007 - (NL50) BR: ~ $3000
Feb 2007 - (NL100) BR: ~ $4000
March 2007 - (NL100) BR: ~ $5000
19 April 2007 - (NL200) BR: $9000

After a tough time moving up to NL100 in Jan - Feb, I heatered through NL100 in like a week in the end of march (+16 buy ins in 3 days on UB was sick). So now I'm playing NL200 on UB and playing pretty confident and most importantly, patient.

The biggest thing that has helped me get to here is not having the need to cash out in between. I row six times a week this year (made it into the squad through selection progress), which resulted in me not drinking alcohol and going to bed early etc. Which then resulted in me having very little living expences and just slowly building my roll in peace .

I also play shorter hand sessions because of my frequent rowing, which allows me to hardly tilt and just leave when I'm not playing my A-game without caring too much. I see all the threads about 'How long to play' and I just think you should ONLY play when you feel like you play your A - game. Playing long sessions (+ 3,5 hours) is mentally tough and I for one am not up to it yet.

I think I may fold too much, but I don't think it's hurting my profit, and it results in people taking pretty big stabs at me when I check to them in big pots or even raising me more with their marginal hands.

Almost cleared the UB bonus, and I think I'll move to party to see if all the stories about the many many fish there are true.

Here are some hands I posted on LP.net from my NL200 sessions:

Have you ever wondered which hurts the most: saying something and wishing you had not, or saying nothing, and wishing you had?

i'm stroke on the light (70kg) first-years eight at Nereus, Amsterdam. An unexperienced field, but very competitive, it's cool. If we do really well the next few months we will go to international rowing regatta's etc, which would be awesome
