Sometimes I feel like intelligence is a huge geometric intersection of what everyone can understand. The more people included the smarter you are. In poker the narrative of skill breaks down from what older players find obvious to what is or isn't obvious to the competition at the time. I don't play much any more outside of a few traveling trips and online free sites. Today I think it would be really tough to re-experience the online poker world like it was in the early millennium.

The narrative of a poker game is quite exciting these days unlike when it was more mathematical or logical. Players are increasing their understanding of game psychology (when they're serious). There are a lot of unknowns in poker. I'd be happy if it was easier to play more, but it's not really an available feature at the moment.

Sometimes I think it's obvious that upbringing and nurture play a significant role and that it's not all merely genetic factors. I can see people on DotA 2 learning things at 40 that I knew when I was 3. Sad face. Hate face.

I was wishing this blog post was actually about discussing intelligence which I think is quite interesting topic
that said I didn't understand anything you said in the first paragraph so I can't really post my opinion

second paragraph doesn't make much sense, the game is more logical and structured than ever before, if you play live poker or watch live streams maybe you get the wrong idea, but that's not a reflex of what online poker is nowadays
there's way less space for randomness

I've been playing PLO 5 card for the past 2 years and the level is ridiculous compared to holdem, but also more difficult to find conclusions that work, I think the stage of PLO5is reminiscent of what holdem was 10 years ago or more
a lot of street poker and different styles, people with no theory knowledge whatsoever can beat the games doing random shit that they found out it works by trial and error
