Jeff, Byrn, I just see no reason for you guys to waste so much of your lifes trolling an internet forum of an obviously amazing tournament player with a few debts, im the most care free guy in the world bud, i don't see it as debt, just one hit away. i was devastated when i got 3rd in buffalo poker classic, 1st had all my debts covered + 7k. i lost 7 days in a row after that, just a few bucks a day, but not my point, was really degecting and hurt really bad.

See, I took a speed pill on Saturday cuz I woke up at 8pm, and wanted to play cashgames all night, and be awake/alert for the sunday majors.

Thing is, I thought it was just like a 10mg adderroll (friend had em, told him i might need a few for poker, they were sitting there months). it turned out to be some 100mg adderroll or something, was fcking insanity. grinded my teeth harder than i grinded all last month

that fucked my brain for like 4 days and I can still feel it. I don't blame the pill, I'm to blame, but boy did that affect the way I was thinking and inablilty to quit the session.

He said if you make $1 mil a year but spend $1.1 mil a year, you're still in the hole $100k. The point I'm trying to make is I believe you very well could have made a $100k in profit this year. But gross profit does not equal net income (duh). You said earlier you made a guy $40k profits in 2 months. According to the data I could find, you've made $45k on Merge and $23k on pstars this year. You also have rakeback, lock poker profits, and live play (and minus cash games) to supplement your income which is why I believe someone with your talent could have easily made $100k this year. But if $40k of that is going to someone else's pocket, that means you really only grossed about $60k (I would assume you've paid much more than $40k to backers this year, but for the time being, let's just go on what we know). $60k is nothing to be ashamed of and is decent money in the real world. But in the business sense, this is absolutely shit. You lost $40k in opportunity costs because of horrible financial decisions. The way you think about profits is on parallel to the GM at a Subway saying they personally made $460k this year. NO. Just because a store makes $460k gross profit doesn't mean the GM personally made that amount. You may have made $100k in profits as a business, but you only grossed $60k. 40% of your operating profits are lost in unnecessary poor financial decisions that result in lost opportunity costs. That makes you one shitty businessman. There's no reason why someone capable of your talents should ever have to have backing unless you're incredibly weak minded, a degenerate, or an immature idiot. And that's why had you ever learned to mature and grow from your mistakes, you would understand why you shouldn't have less than a $10k online roll from this year's profits alone (even after paying back $40k). But instead, you live in a delusional world where the only difference between you and the best poker players is your inability to manage your investments. But if you could just get over that hill with that 1 BIG WIN...lol. How many times were you truly in the black over the past years?
