I guess lots of londonians would know way better than me and it depends on what you are interested in. Anyway, here are some possibilities.
For "serious" activities, as museums, I would recommend National gallery, and Tate modern (go to the top) and the bankside next to it is nice.
I like to walk in the City where you can find little churches lost among the buildings. For residential area with victorian buildings and nice cars, you can go to Mayfair.
Not so serious : Camden Town is a nice place with quite a lot of markets, and famous for the punk culture (obviously, now that it is quite famous, it's not "underground" and there are plenty of commercial activities), it's also quite funny to visit Soho.
