Got some job interviews scheduled before I moved here. Hopefully I run good and land a job so I can grind poker on the side comfortably. Going to try to get back online as well and improve my HU game.

Excited.

I'm going for a CFP certification and you need 3 years of "experience" before you can take that test. So basically I need to get jobs @ sweatshop places like Northwestern Mutual, Mass Mutual, Farmers etcetc that will pay me while giving me training also. I'm not really here to grind live (altho it is a bonus). I just graduated college couple months back and just trying to be around I suppose.

I actually didn't have plans to move out here until my friend who graduated around the same time as me moved into WCGRider's house. He said there was a spare room and that's where I'm @ right now. Don't really know how long I'll be here but hopefully I can get back into online action again while having some fun so I can get through my "training" period when I get a job.

Khan: what do you mean by that? just saying live action is bad or just a bad place to be period?

My personal experience living there for two years is that it's a bad place to be around. won't go into specifics since it's meaningless imo, but you can ask anyone who has moved from a completely different part of the states to vegas and they will tell you they can't spend more than 1-2 months there before desperately needing to leave

idk, i think vegas has enough to offer where you can make your life any way you want it, just have to adjust. I mean I have a family and live here so it's not all partying and clubbing. To be fair I don't really enjoy it anyways, I've been to one club since i've lived here (XS at encore) and it wasn't for me. There's world class golf courses you can get onto for really cheap if you're a local which is great, and it's just like a really small city with a lot to do packed into it. Only drawback is probably the public's view of you living in Vegas (debauchery and strip clubs and gamblin'), but if you play poker you should be used to people thinking about you being a gambler/degen and can ignore it or have a way to deal with that. I like living here; whenever I visit home there's just nothing to do compared to here. gl out here.
