Well this is my graph for this summer. I'll give you a little summary. Cashed out my entire roll minus $500 to pay for a 3.6k$ summer course... So with this $500, I built it up to this~~~~~~
First i want to apologize for not talking to my friends on MSN. I've been insanely busy. This is move in week for my apartment and everyone goes crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Well this year sucks compared to last but it still hasn't stopped my friends and I from getting fucked up. Last night i stayed up until 7 am doing god knows what. Which is suprising because the entire summer i'd wake up at 7am +_+. Tropical storm fay is currently moving through and I feel like i'm in the fucking amazon. Won't stop fucking raining. Hmmm...other news: full week of boxing lessons for the first time in like 2 weeks. Sadly i'm not up to par with where I think I should be so i'm slightly upset with myself about that. I've been doing a lot of thinking and i'm going to tell my coach that I want to take boxing as fun (but still put in the same hard work) and not competitive so that I don't get pissed at myself for fucking up. Jiu Jitsu lessons w/ a purple belt (soon brown) starts sunday. I can't fucking wait. When I started boxing my entire intentions was to jump into Jiu Jitsu and now that I love boxing i'll stick with both (lessons 6/7 days).
various other shit:
-neighbors are cool as fuck
-two new roommates are awesome...one always wants to party and I think the other will be the same
-poker supports my beer habit
-subway is the shit
-tloapc is destroying that prop bet (thank god he let me back out before he started the prop bet...I had a feeling he would do it)
-haven't gained any weight
-natty light contains 3.5 grams of protein
-I got criticized for never hearing of a 30 rack. Fuck you northerners.
QJs: fine mother fucker you can have it...I'd say AJ 90% and flush 10%.
AQo: KK ftw...obviously. But ill let you have this pot as I took over $40 just from you earlier and completely skullfuck you like i always do you shitty reg that always tries to 3bet me.
QQ: why can't I hit my combo draws?
AA: yay limping w/ 98s from UTG is awesome. I told myself I was gonna fold to a 3bet on that flop but i felt like putting the moniesssss in vs donks
So my first day of playing poker in what 4 days? Went alright and now I can do an assortment of things for the night: find a party, drink with friends (or with them at a party), or go hang out with a high school buddy and smoke weed/drink beer/play some h3. I'm leaning towards the h3 as i've been drinking for 3 days straight now.
various music:
listen to the entire song I promise its fucking amazing. Amazing weed/fucked up song.
if you haven't heard this band I suggest downloading everything they've made. Such a unique sound and the word amazing to describe them would be an understatement. Great poker music...
Thinking about getting lessons some time in the next couple months. I want to further my game and take it to the next level. My goal is to be able to crush nl600+ by the end of the year. (100k hand sample with winrate > 3.5)
Thoughts/instructor suggestions?
hey sorry to use precious blog space to post this lame shit, but I am wondering if anyone would be down to paypal me 50-100 bucks for that money on FT. Ill throw in an extra few bucks for the trouble. Please PM me or post here and Ill hit you up,I would appreciate it greatly. Never done this before so I dont kno the safest way but all I can say is that I promise Im not out to fuck anyone over I just want to get some scrill out of my account ASAP and figured this could work.
This is kinda strange situation but for obvious reasons.
U have to play where ure hourly rate is the highest.
And after some calculations and consideration i really think i can make more money/h on NL50 than on Nl100 ....
1.) i cant 6table NL100 6max on Ipoker -> i get completely lost on my reads then
i can easily 6table NL50 6max since everybody sucks so much and plays very faceup most of the time
2.) My winrate on NL50 is 11.5BB/100 over last 35K hands which allthough this may not be sustainable is >2x my NL100 winrate
My Nl100 6max winrate has been ~ 3.5 BB/100 over the last 15K hands or so ...
-> i only need to achieve a 7BB/100 winrate at NL50 to make more money than i would make on Nl100
3.)
due to the nice speed tables at NL50 and due to 6 tabling i achieve an average of 510 hands / h
on Nl100 i can only play 4 tables... no speed tables and i only achieve an average of 300 hands/ h
Results :
NL 50 6tabling with a nice 10BB/100 winrate + rakeback -> ~ 60$ h (40€) a 7BB/100 winrate + rb would still give me ~45$h (rb % up)
NL100 with a nice 5BB/100 winrate + rakeback ~ 45$h -> (30€) a 3.5BB/100winrate + rb will give me close 40$/h
If i achieve a 7BB/100 NL50 winrate 6tabling i ll make the exact same $$/h than id make on Nl100 5BB/100 4 tabling.
Kinda sucks but well ...
So my plans are to grind out as much money on Nl50 as possible and then move up to NL200 directly (which i will 4 table then)
lets see how it works
haha here you guys go
u gotta love poker is all I can say
that was the most fun I've had in a bad run ever
there was some very minor tilt involved in the beginning, I'll admit that, but after I paused, got a drink and some chocolate, I just played normal and continued with what I think is good/solid poker
and there was nothing I could do
well ok yes, I could of quit, and normally I would
but my curiousity was perked, and I wanted to see if I could wait out the bad run and pull out of it
nooo I didn't stay at the same tables and just lose lose lose lose while having a poor image etc
I still played well and am actually happy about my play. It was just the fact that nothing won. Standard variance except I would never have let myself get 16 buyins down without stopping somewhere
But this prop bet is an exception
I dunno, maybe a part of me wanted to make it interesting as well
so anyhow! here we are
screenshots! lol
I think at this exact moment I'm right where I should be, where at the end of the day I'll be a little behind if I don't have 700 or so? I dunno, not really doin the math, I know it's close. Not thinking about it, just doing it
So anyhow, with that I'm gonna either go back at it or go to bed and start behind when I wake.
Just thought I'd keep you guys updated
I think it's a good choice. Welcome to the fight Joe!
As to Biden, since the late 1980s he has established a consistent record as the brightest analyst of American foreign policy at work in Washington. Not all of his ideas have been fantastic winners, but on almost every issue he's been months or years ahead of the rest of Washington and he's proposed better policies than have been followed by administrations of either party. When I worked on the Hill a while back, Biden's policy speeches were some of the only ones that people on other staffs would bother to print out and read. Worth looking in the Congressional Record; he gave a several-part address on U.S. policy after the Cold War sometime around 1991 that was about the most perceptive policy analysis I heard at the start of that wasted decade.
Biden is, simply, the smartest strategic thinker in Washington today. He's also a serious student of the Constitution. His areas of expertise are perfectly suited to the challenges America faces right now.
Also moving this pic up from my other post since I'm already bumping it off. Earlier this year, the nonpartisan Sunlight Foundation did an analysis of the net worth of each of the 535 members of Congress based on their personal financial disclosure.
Things have been slow politically lately, and by slow I mean I could live with only making 1 blog post a day. I think the combination of McCain's newest gaffe about houses plus the upcoming VP selection and Dem Convention means that I'm about to go to 2-3 posts a day for a week or so. This is my preemptive apology, because I know it's gonna be more than most of you wanna see, haha. I'm going to try and keep em short though.
For now I just wanna link to a fun article I just read... here's a excerpt followed by a link to click if you wanna keep reading.
It's probably time for the Republicans to panic.
Reason the first: despite all of the McCain campaign attacks of the last six weeks and, naturally, Senator McCain's whiteness and military service, the McCain campaign can't, as Pat Buchanan likes to say, "close the deal." He can't overtake Senator Obama in the polls given the roster of assaults on Obama's patriotism and character as well as the continued accusations that Obama, according to the McCain campaign and the barbecue media, is a skinny, exotic, infanticidal, egg-headed evildoer.
Reason the second, and more importantly: Senator McCain appears to be losing his shpadoinkle. When he admitted that he doesn't know how many houses he and his heiress wife own, it might not have been because he owns too many houses to count. Instead, it could be that he simply couldn't remember how many houses he owns.
Brit Hume once called this kind of glitch "a senior moment," but how many senior moments can a guy have before we seriously begin to question whether, for example, in the middle of an international crisis, he's going to forget who the president of Russia is and then bomb Berlin thinking that Putin is the president of Germany. Oh. Wait.
Ask any homeowner how many houses they own and they'll probably answer correctly -- or, if they're crazy rich, they'll at least answer within the margin of error (+/- one house). Ask Senator Obama and he'll probably answer correctly (one). Yet Senator McCain simply couldn't remember. Slipped his mind. Even if he had answered, but answered incorrectly, it still would've been a problem, but nowhere near this level.
"I think -- I'll have my staff get to you. It's condominiums where -- I'll have them get to you."
He could've totally invented a number like Grandpa Simpson, "I got 'dickety' houses! Why 'dickety'? Because the Kaiser stole the word 'eight'!" But McCain blanked. "It's condominiums," was the extent of the information he could muster. That's sort of like asking your bank for your checking account balance and they reply, "Errrm. It's dollars."
Had another attempt at nl25 today, after being back grinding at nl10 and beating it fairly well again, 8ptbb/100 last 3 days. Anyway got my ass handed to me at nl25 again, I 'm totally failing to see the difference between nl10 and 25 and why i get completely shat on at 25, -26bb/100, 2k hands. Anyway another two 16 hour days at nl10 to have another shot.
I'd like to say thanks to people on IRC/Roman helping me with hands and stuff, it really helps and I feel my game is improving all the time, just need to break this barrier that is known as nl25.
Second Day at Play-Money on PokerStarsby SCC-Faust, August 22
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 212 hands and saw flop:
- 34 out of 40 times while in big blind (85%)
- 36 out of 43 times while in small blind (83%)
- 92 out of 129 times in other positions (71%)
- a total of 162 out of 212 (76%)
Pots won at showdown - 27 of 56 (48%)
Pots won without showdown - 11
How does that look? I hit 10k chips around my 180th hand and just trailed around there.
I know I'm pretty bad and I read some of the Poker articles. I was watching movies while playing so my full attention wasn't on the game, and that must really be bad for the position. Whether I bet or folded was not affected by who had the button. But I think I did alright.
Is 200+ hands a lot or do you guys crunch that in a day?
