So my sister called at the weekend and asked to come and stay last night - havent seen her since Christmas and she annoys the fuck out of me but it was difficult to say no!! So her and her knobhead husband rock up yesterday, just seeing them put me on tilt - they decided to crack into my decent wine stock while I was at work (4kingell states - instaban!!) and told me we could go out for dinner. Couldnt fuckin wait...
Anyway I thought i better get some alcohol in me so proceeded to do so at the bar then at dinner (guess which tw@t ended up with the the $200 bill - yep you guessed it!!). I then proceeded to pour more alcohol in me while they drained on about some old shit until I could take it no more and switched the PC and started to play poker in front of them I dont think I was very subtle about how bored I was!!
Fuck knows what they were on about but I was on full steam life tilt 1 step away from pulling my own eye out with a blunt cocktail stick when I decided to see what 1000nl was like. WTF?????

Couldn't breath, the roommate left the windows up and the fans in the room on, so i got a cold, and since i have asthma, it's like double fuck my lungs up. So i couldn't breath, none of my medicine would work including the nebulizer, so a trip to the Emergency Room was in order. No one in line on Tuesday at 11:00 pm, so i didn't have to wait in line. I've always hated trips to the ER, it just reminds me of death and everything else that is bad in the world. I have always feared that when i went i would see something traumatic, like a gunshot wound, or someone special being rushed in with their family following...something like that.
Anyway, got my Rx's, so everything should be alright.

Right now it just started snowing out. Were supposed to have a squall that is going to bring up to 15 cm of snow. I love my summers as much as the next person but I love winter too because that means its time to get the snowboard out. I actually went to the snowboard and ski show in Toronto this year and got a new board/bindings for an amaaazing price.
Played a bit today but only made like 6 bbs. Pretty boring day, tables were not good and I just couldnt stay up for very long but the nice thing was I didnt go into the negatives for the day. Im probably just going to take a break for the day and listen to the new pokercast with Hoss_TBF and Phillips then go to hockey and call it a day. Hoss is a beast at LHE and myself being a LHE player I am very interested in hearing what he has to say.

So we had the largest Obama rally in the USA here in Denver over the weekend. Pretty crazy, especially since we were a red state till this election. 110 thousand people showed up when they were expecting 25 thousand. Streets all around the park where he was speaking were shut down so people could stand and listen. It was pretty insane.
It started as me being tired of A.Silva's antics. I could cope with him disrespecting Henderson after their match. I could cope with him saying he doesn't have to prove anything. But when this man who, mind you, doesnt have to prove anything pulled a Starnes in his latest match it was too much.
I posted on TeamLiquid forum complaining about all those facts. Immediately I was greeted by a horde of fanboys trying to prove to me that A.Silva is the second coming. The point that was taken especially personal was the fact that he has yet to prove anything. I was trying to point out that he is a champion of the weakest UFC division, which lacks most of Top10 fighters, and the only guy in MMA world that has really got nothing to prove- Fedor- is still trying to prove that he belongs in the history books. I was trying to point out that noone in not one single sport says that he hasnt got anything to prove after only 3 victories against top 10 fighters(Point of reference: Fedor has 4 over current 3 top 10 HW fighters, 1 over top 10 MW fighter, 3 wins over HWs who were top 10 at the time of their bout, and 2 wins over LHWs who were top 10 at the time of their bout).

All this data, that had to be organized somehow to put the end to this old-age argument. And what I came up was really quiet simple. I chose 4 criteria, and each of the fighters in question will get 8 through 1 points, with 8 being awarded to first, and 1 to last. Heres what i've got:
W% is Win percentage
QoOF is Quality of Opponents Faced- its judged using the O column of the first table.
ToOLt is Toughness of Opponents lost to- its judged using the AOL column of the first table.
TTO opponents is statistics against opponents that are currently placed in sherdog top 10 rankings.
I was just doing it for fun, but it shocked me how accurate those rankings turned out to be. Surely they are slanted somehow and surely Fedor isnt first, but lets make a few sane adjustments to the list, lets say we dont count Fedors loss to TK via illegal elbow. Fedor jumps into first with 26 points! Unfortunately i couldnt take that liberty as I was vigorously informed that

Great Success! Point proven, and backed up by facts as much as any P4P discussion can possibly be. I was correct, if Silva were to retire right now, he would not be included in history books as Mayweather Jr, Ali, Sugar Ray or even Klitschko brothers. Silva is #2 on P4P list because he has credit, credit for his amazing performances, his dismantling of opponents. We just naturally expect his next opponent to be dismantled in exactly the same way. Truth is- nobody knows. Just remember the wins Soku raked - Silvaeque destructions of top tenners Arona and Little Nog, before his magic bubble was burst. Truth is, if he were to quit now, in a couple of years time people like Mousasi, Penn, Gomi, Machida, Filho, Alvarez and many others will have records under they belt that eclipse anything Anderson ever did.

I went down to the casino today and played the 5/10 LHE game. I got there around 7 and didnt get to play until closer to 9 because they only had one table going and I was about 8th in line which sucked dick.
Anyways the game was alright. A couple of regs in it with fish coming and going. I played pretty TAG and didnt really have any hard decisions to make in the game which was nice. I thnk I played my hands for the most part to the best but I only managed to breakeven after playing for 6hrs. I was getting tired near the end and wasnt playing my A game so I decided to call it a day. I have yet to lose any money in this game which is nice. It is really soft at times and if I had the role... fuck Id be there every day but I dont so yea... its to bad.
The worst part of my day had to be getting my fucking phone bill. I just want to say fuck you Ted Rogers you really are scamming all of Canada and charging me for the stupidest shit. It should be a crime for some of the things they charge you with but I dont want to get into it.
Tomorrow Im going to hit the gym when I get up, grind FTP for a bit to clear some bonus, go to hockey and then we'll see how Im feeling when I get home and maybe play some more.
Today I ran really bad for a moment so - to make sure I keep perspective right when feeling bad about losing 3 buyins - I went to read older posts of asdf2000's blog.

And it's all on its way out, our sources of energy are non-renewable and we've got thousands of horrible bombs that could completely destroy the world and make it uninhabitable, and all humans are putting all kinds of pollutants into the sky and making our environment and weather less stable. There's all kinds of stuff on the horizon that's gonna throw humanity back into "working hard to survive 24/7" mode, I'm not saying it'll happen soon, probably long after we're gone hundreds of years from now, but it's happening.
Where we're living right now, our stage in time, is near the peak of civilization and technology, and it's a very small window. Of all the billions of years this planet has been in orbit around the sun, during the very small amount of that time that this planet has been able to support life, and during this tiny, tiny window of only a few hundred years where we are at the very peak of our advancement as a species, where our civilization and our technology has reached a level where an easy and happy and fun life couldn't be easier to achieve... it's in that window of a few hundred years, out of billions, that you get to spend your entire life.
Funny how its possible hear in school for 5 years that everything in past times sucked and bad but to never really understand it ^^
Of course ones happines clearly is not only about material needs but at least we are a generation with freedom never seen before. (or at least we lucky rich white kids)

I qualified for the HPT final table in Detroit. I ran AK into AA and got 6th but still, I got $27k or something before getting raped by taxes. Also ship $9250 or something to nutshot cause he runs hot at staking.
With the $9250 I won, it put me over the hump for 6 figures on the year!!! I was stuck at 99k for like ever, and even dropped a grand or two before the FT, but I'm at like $105k on the year now! I'm pretty stoked.
I want to officially address the topic of the phone call that went out today from my campaign to individuals in District One. I acknowledge that the idea behind the ad, and indeed the execution of the call, was not the safe route to take. And if my run for office was simply for personal gain, I would not have taken a risk. But the content and the facts within the message were there and need to be discussed. Hopefully this call opens up the forum for discussion on the issues and on the representation which is so essential to our system.
What we are discussing today is the lack of alignment in representation in this district. Things are stagnant in Washington and accountability for one's actions and to one's district is severely lacking. I take the credit or the blame for the statement that went out today. The unpaid staffer who recorded and submitted the message may have been a little overly enthusiastic in the delivery, but I believe it is good to get enthusiasm back into politics.
As it turns out, the "overly enthusiastic" staffer basically thought the best way to get the "enthusiasm back into politics" was to put all of that enthusiasm into the pants of voters, because the robocall she sent out is basically a phone sex call.
"Mike Thompson has been a baaaaaad boy. We all said no to the bailout, but Thompson backed Bush. Just like he did with the Patriot act, uhhhhhh, vote YESSSSSSSSS! for Zane."
On the subject of robocalls, nearly 40 people refused to read a McCain Robocall script and walked out in protest cause it was so sleazy:
Some three dozen workers at a telemarketing call center in Indiana walked off the job rather than read an incendiary McCain campaign script attacking Barack Obama, according to two workers at the center and one of their parents.
Nina Williams, a stay-at-home mom in Lake County, Indiana, tells us that her daughter recently called her from her job at the center, upset that she had been asked to read a script attacking Obama for being "dangerously weak on crime," "coddling criminals," and for voting against "protecting children from danger."
Williams' daughter told her that up to 40 of her co-workers had refused to read the script, and had left the call center after supervisors told them that they would have to either read the call or leave, Williams says. The call center is called Americall, and it's located in Hobart, IN.
"They walked out," Williams says of her daughter and her co-workers, adding that they weren't fired but willingly sacrificed pay rather than read the lines. "They were told [by supervisors], `If you all leave, you're not gonna get paid for the rest of the day."
The daughter, who wanted her name withheld fearing retribution from her employer, confirmed the story to us. "It was like at least 40 people," the daughter said. "People thought the script was nasty and they didn't wanna read it."
A second worker at the call center confirmed the episode, saying that "at least 30" workers had walked out after refusing to read the script.
"We were asked to read something saying [Obama and Democrats] were against protecting children from danger," this worker said. "I wouldn't do it. A lot of people left. They thought it was disgusting."
This worker, too, confirmed sacrificing pay to walk out, saying her supervisor told her: "If you don't wanna phone it you can just go home for the day."
The script coincided with this robo-slime call running in other states, but because robocalling is illegal in Indiana it was being read by call center workers.
Representatives at Americall in Indiana, and at the company's corporate headquarters in Naperville, Illinois, didn't return calls for comment.

The funny part of this hand was that when dealing the a of diamonds flipped over and he decided to keep it so i knew at the time I had him waffle crushed o wellz.
Anyway we're finally getting a third roommate that should be interesting considering I hate living with most ppl. In two weeks is my bday great success and next Monday through Thursday I plan on going to Scotty Nquyen in Tulsa. I had a little success there last year and hopefully I can take one down...
