My apartment doesn't have heat and neither does my friends house where I spend the majority of my nights on his couch... November in Maine with no heat kinda sucks.
Today was an alright day. I was supposed to go down to London and check out some apartments/houses but that never happened. I guess Im going to go down next Tuesday and check it out. School time is getting closer and closer quickly.
I played a bit today and had a pretty good day. I managed to win back all the money I lost yesterday which happened to be my first losing day this month and it wasnt a big one or anything so Im not complaining. Im feeling pretty good about my game and I think I got it worked out so I can keep crushing this level. Heres the graph for today:
I made some pretty sick calls today I thought on some really big pots which was nice. At this rate I Should be ready to take a shot at the next level sometime next week.
I also watch the final table of WSOP 08. Pretty sick that Eastgate is only 22 and just won 9Milli. Hey is Iven Demidov ANDROIDE from SC? I heard he was a really respected Russian SC gamer and that was one of the big ones when I used to play. I got the bug to play a tourney today too but it didnt go to well and I busted out halfway through the tourney.
Anyways Im going to my buddies hockey game. Should be fun lol.
Good luck with the rest of the day everyone.

Hallo Andreas, Dear Andreas
Ich weiß es ist lange her, das du mir geschrieben hast, aber ich habe etwas gebraucht und hab auch sehr kindisch darauf reagiert was mir leid tut! I know its been a very long time since u wrote me, but i needed time and i reactet very childish at that time which i am sorry for nowadays
Sorry But i have never been in such Love as i was with u, and i am totally thankfull for what happend, yes we did rock !, but when i read ure message i felt pure pain and thats why i reactet so wrong, i am realyl sorry
Und die Aktion im Studievz war ja mal über peinlich! Aber naja, fehler macht man um aus ihnen zu lernen! What i did on StudivZ was embarrasing !, But well i hope i learned from these mistakes
Liebe Grüße ( best regaards)

for the retro lols i will link an old blogpost of mine ^^
So apparently the survey of economists returned an overall sentiment that we will see a sharp decline in the 4th quarter of 2008 (to be expected), another decline in the first quarter 2009, a leveling off in the 2nd quarter, and the start of slow growth in the 3rd quarter.
Over the last 3-4 decades, the recovery of the stock market has consistently preceded the economy's exit from "recession" by 6 months. Keeping this trend in mind, if these experts' views hold true and no other drastic events or government measures affect the course of things, long-term investors will probably start to react to an invigorated stock market around mid-2009.
It is of course going to be incredibly difficult for individuals to notice right away, but I feel like it doesn't hurt to keep this in mind if we've turned most of our stocks into cash assets already.
I just hope the upturn begins in 2009, not 2010 as some predictions go (most pple expect the upturn to start within 12-24 months)
Do my non-SD winnings look normal? Does it indicate giant leaks? I don't know what to make of this because I've seen people with similar red lines and some people with breakeven and even winning red lines over large samples. Thoughts/help/advice please?
So there was a guy at a table with a $100 stack. I was multitabling so I didn't notice, but he had a 0% fold to cbet rate. ZERO. Also, he bluffed at EVERY single pot and on every single street, often with total air. He also called coldcalled 3bets all over the place, but he was on a sick heater so he would catch huge flops and stack people. Also, you knew when he had a premium because he would open for 15x BB LOL.
I caught great cards and flops and ended up taking his whole stack with these three hands:
Showdown JORGI246: shows (a pair of Eights)
edzwoo : shows (a pair of Kings)
edzwoo collected $40.95 from pot
Summary Total pot $43 | Rake $2.05
Board
Seat 1: nutslos (big blind) folded before Flop
Seat 2: giky0401 folded before Flop
Seat 3: mtlbigrats folded before Flop (didn't bet)

Seat 9: JORGI246 (small blind) showed and lost with a pair of Eights
I never slowplay KK like this, but I really thought I would lose value from air like 50% of the time. River was misclick .

JORGI246: bets $35.35 and is all-in
edzwoo : calls $21.45 and is all-in
Uncalled bet ($13.90) returned to JORGI246
Showdown JORGI246: shows (high card King)
edzwoo : shows (a straight, Ten to Ace)
edzwoo collected $90.65 from pot
Summary Total pot $93.65 | Rake $3

I just flopped the nuts vs this guy and we're both 200bbs deep. He floated me three times before (yes, THREE), so I figured it would have been optimal to let him do it again. No, I didn't check the river because I was afraid of the flush , but I thought I would fold out air by shoving. I was ABSOLUTELY SURE he was going to shove the river with anything.
After I took that pot, I got so excited that I bm chatted, "boom". Someone told me that was mad bm sorry.

I don't usually call a raise with Axs, but I felt like gambling .
my account was all in cash durin the post election plunge till today. i also used all my margins (standard 2x cash balance) today to fish for a bottom and it worked. stocks are ez. now we have a triple bottom pattern and im holdin this shit overnight with good confidence. prolly exiting tommorow cuz i got school monday for entire day
best thing i like about stock market is that i can play dota at the same time. unlike poker
Still grinding it out, have my mind set on next month where I'll give 50nl another shot. Have taken multiple shots at 50nl in the past but never felt comfortable with the stacksizes for some reason.. I guess I'm a BR nit!
Also it looks like I've finally got my 'money won without SD' under control, graph update:
- 6max is not a whole other game than HU or FR
- Regulars are just playing their hand ranges, that's all
- Not all 3bet pots belong to you
- Do not get out of line in 3bet pots
- When regulars shove all in in 3bet pots, do NOT call down light
- Do not payoff passive donks who suddenly bet pot on river
I´ve tried NL400 over 1000 hands now for the first time! Pretty exciting since the pots are bigger and players better. I´ve had some standard coolers, KK v AA etc but I am still running good, over 2 BI profit so far.
Some things that are different from NL200:
* Some regs are much tuffer. It seems like NL400 is the lowest level even som good players tend to play. Today I met a 100k+ winner from NL1000 and that is not profitable... Therefor I am tableselecting heavy to get as much value as I can. There are some table that are very profitable on NL400 and I tend to choose them .
* Players are much more aggressive, both preflop and post, especially on the flop. I think I have to tighten up on my CB much more than before. I guess that my constant CB on NL200 made my non showdown winnings so bad, but I think that was compensated on NL200 since I could come to the showdown cheap if I didnt improve. On NL400 so far I havnt been allowed to check down... so I have to win money without a showdown to be a winner at this stake.. The last 3k hands I have actually been profitable on non-showdown winnings which is a great step forward since i havnt been that on my previous 80k hands on FTP!
Another adjustment I have made is to datamine more than before. That way I have some clue about how they are playing before I even sit down and that has been a hugh help so far!
Lemme be clear, I think he's great and that he does a lot of amazing reporting, but sometimes he gets ridiculous and this video really captured all of those moments and amplified em, haha!
Found a funny halloween picture and don't wanna make a new post:
I hit my 20BI for NL25 goal, but I'm thinking about hanging out at nl10 until 24BI and then taking a 3BI shot. Maybe it will help me stay cool headed knowing that I'll still make progress, even if my shot fails? Not sure if I have the patience.. but it might be for the best.. hmm.
I'm DEFINITELY sticking to 4 tables for a while. If I end up having to go back to nl10 again, I will probably experiment with a couple more tables.
Poker is the first thing I've ever struggled to learn & atleast be reasonably effective at.. but hopefully I will catch on and get to where I'd like to be.
I got a 700 MB file that I would like to share. If someone can host it for me up to an agreed upon download limit, then I'll be willing to pay a fair price over PS.
