Hello there by zealit, November 12

Hello,

My first blog post here. So I guess I'll introduce myself.

I was a Starcraft player from 99 to about 05. When I was about to quit Starcraft, some people I knew (Loco, Fayth) were already getting into poker. I didn't really know about poker back then and wasn't interested at all. Over the years I was seeing them balling it up. It picked up my curiosity. So I was like someday when I'll have time to invest in this game, I'll take a shot.

So I started poker at the beginning of June this year, cuz I was done with college and now working fulltime before going to uni next year. With 20$ I started grinding fullring penny tables on Stars. June-October wasn't really good at all as I was getting familiar with the basics and didn't put in alot of hands. Probably made around 280$ in that time lapse with a really bad win rate rollercoasting it up in NL10 fr.

At the really end of october I decided to make the switch to 6max NL10 and put more time to improve my game. It has been quite good since then.

http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/monthlyresultsgraphsi9.png/1/w1610.png

This is my graph for November.

At the start of the month I was still making the switch to 6max and adjusting then I found the sweet spot.

So today my BR hit 650$ and I'm going to start 25NL tomorrow.

Wish me luck!

Last 2 Days at 6max by Python817, November 12

mostly 6 tabling hopefully I can continue to play this much everyday and eventually add on more tables

Since I've played HU for the last few months my fold button has disappeared but it would seem that sometime in the last day or 2 I've rediscovered it.

getting a little tired by PplusAD, November 12

Play lots of poker tha past days

12K hands in 10 days mostly 4-6 tabling 30h effort.
Run very medicore bad at Nl25 and i am mostly breakeven for 9,5K hands there...

probably tomorrow will be a day where i relaxe at Nl10 and only play like maybe 1 hour or so.

playing lots of poker is really physical i noticed

GL all.

so far my rebuild challenge hasnt had good success
12K hands + 70$ ... >_< lol
Had a big rush at the beginning going +340$ very fast
after that i had a big down and played bad lost like 270$ and now i stay at +70$ for quite a few hands ...
basically absolutely nothing exciting happens at the tables

Another great session by edzwoo, November 12

+$86.30 or about 3 1/2 buyins today.

Since the past week, I've been beating the game at 10bb/100, or 5ptbb/100 at NL25 (+8 hands of PL25). My little session today was awesome. I got into several cooler situations, but I can't complain because I was hitting sets left and right.

One of those days. by EXCELED, November 12

Yea I knew today was coming it always does. Variance. It was just one of those days where everything you did was a good move but you got fucked over in the end. Today it just seemed everytime I was raise I would get 3 bet or my big hands wouldnt hold up. Im not sure If imy going to call it quits for today but for sure I am taking a break for now because Im a bit steaming. Not because I lost 25BB which isnt terrible (just over one buy in) but just because these donkeys idiot moves are getting paid off and by the end of the session I just had it was getting REDICULOUS! I havent even put in half the hands I do usually in a day but really I need to just take a chill pill. For the first time I actually shouted out "youve got to be fucking kidding me" I know when donkeys are making stupid moves its an ideal table to be at because your monsters are going to get paid off but they werent... they were getting countered so yea... break time.

Im going out tonight with a girl I dated years ago at the start of high school. I ran into her at the bar the other night and she was lovin what I was offering lol. She was asking me all these questions the next day like why did we ever break up etc. andneither of us could remember lol. It was kinda strange but yea we decided to go out and catch up. And she is looking mighty fine these days too.

Hopefully this little date goes fucking better then the sessions today did lol.
Hope everyone is having a good day on and off the tables

I win. by barbieman, November 12

I came to the table as a big stack but doubled up instantly through a bigger stack who more or less was giving away his stack, ty sir.

http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/5784/ownagenf0.jpg

After that I just got good enough cards to run over the table, I think I eliminated everybody at the final table. Btw, what's up with paying 3-18th 20$? It's retarded.

Long story short, I should've just stfu myself because WHY DO I CARE ?
It pisses me off thought when i see some long Age Sex City ramblings or something and then it never finishes...

I start to get myself back on my feet and rofl, ya story of the month: lead him to believe he's gonna pull through and once he's feeling a bit comfortable again pull that rug from under his feet! out flopped out turned out rivered out everythinged rinse and repeat. lolololololololol

207k Hands Total This month so far by Joeingram1, November 11

Just got done playing for the day, put in about 21.5k hands today to bring my total to 207k, 13k off pace. I'm really not sweating it to much though because I can play one extra long session one day and be right back up to pace.

At like 60k vpp total so almost up 3k in fpps, clearing a 4k bonus right now and 4k vpp away from a 2k milestone bonus. Here is my graph for this month total, up a pretty good amount

http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/rr143/joeingram1/graphsofar.jpg

Here is my day today at 100nl

http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/rr143/joeingram1/nov11th.jpg

Up and down and round and round

Here are some hands for the day, i saw a couple good 200nl tables after i finished up my session so i played a few orbits there and ran pretty good and made a little.

I was just determined to win this hand and didnt think he could really have anything that he could call a shove with

First big finish in tourney! (micro lol) by vlseph, November 11

PokerStars Tournament #118934455, No Limit Hold'em
Buy-In: $2.00/$0.20
1024 players
Total Prize Pool: $2048.00
Tournament started - 2008/11/11 - 20:15:00 (ET)

Dear HERO!,

You finished the tournament in 9th place.
A $46.08 award has been credited to your Real Money account.

Played almost 3 hours for this.
Final hand I shoved with air when I saw my opponent instacheck, but he showed up with top pair and me drawing dead to two runners.
He tripled up early on in the match knocking out one player and totally crippling another, so it was very tough to play him. When HU started he had a 5:1 lead on me.

This is my nicest score at a tournament so far and definitely biggest ROI.
I plowed through my first two tables on my shoot out but found much more competent players on the third round, where I had to take many coin flips and won enough of them to run into 9-16th payouts.

note: Shoot out pay ladders are fucking awesome. I might look into more of these. Just making it itm is an 800% ROI.

Marriage D'Amour on the Guitar is nearly impossible to play...

After 90 seconds into it I fail horribly.

poker isn't going well this week, -4 buyins cuz AA cant hold up vs KK and KK can't hold up vs 43o in a 4bet pot.

Prop 8 Blowhard by k2o4, November 11

Tried to think of a title that explained my post would be about Keith Olbermann's special comment on the gay marriage ban in California. I wonder if that title worked?

Anyway, sometimes he's a blowhard but this time I think he was right on fucking point:

Oh and for something funny, watch Joe Scarborough drop the F-bomb and not realize he did it... on live TV, haha.
