Okay first the poker stuff ...
Doing good so far allthough i am a bit angry at FTP riggedness
Checked my Database and i am down - 250$ / 5BI over 19,6K hands on NL50 6max FTP
thats completely ridiculous kowning that i am up +635$ ( 25 1/2 BI) over 24K hands Nl25 6max FTP
+ i am up NL50 HU and NL100 HU a good amount This year
Well its just that i recieve an unreal amount of suckouts and bad beats on Nl50 6max FTP and it hasnt stopped yet
doesnt concern me too much though since i make good money from HU
Overall 1st week of June
+ 539$
Hands played ~ 5 K hands
played 6/7 days of June
I think i could play more hands and stuff but overall i am fine since i just quit a day when i felt like running bad and being up some.
Poker has stressed out me enough in the past ^^ so i will just take everything relaxed , put in a few hands , play my best and have some fun while making money.
Thats also the reason why i have 2 BR spread on Stars and FTP and play everything from NL256max to even occasional Nl200HU
may sound stupid to the hardcore grinders BR ~ 4,5K € atm.
But i am making money without ever feeling any preassure ! And that is a very nice thing.
@ NewbSaibot
thx very much for the PC advice
I searched a bit the internetz and what u said was 100% true
so i insta called the support and asked if they can change some things
They had not sent the PC yet and so it was no problem
I got DDR-2 800 instead of 1066 + a better mainboard and 4870overclocked + silenced instead of 260GTX-216
saved 15€ overall <3
okay so now here is my 3rd martial arts review
This time i will talk about BJJ the brazilian form of submission grappling.
BJJ is a brazilian martial arts developed by the brothers Carlson and Helio Gracie ~ 1920
BJJ has its roots in Judo since the Gracie brothers learned their basic Jiu Jitsu from Mitsuo Maeda who was a schoolar of Jigoro Kano. ( Jigoro Kano was the founder of Judo which i reviewd in an earlier blogpost)
Helio Gracie was a small person only weighting 63Kg ( 138lb) with an incredible work ethic and the absolut willingness to do anything to win.
Since he was so small he always lost to his much bigger brothers.
So he together with Carlson decided to study the techniques and adjust them to fitting his small weight to be successfuly used vs bigger opponents
after years of adjusting and practicing with his brothers
-> BJJ was born
It became a popular martial arts in Brazil allthough it never really made it out of teh country before Rorion Gracie
Rorion Gracie knew that his brothers have proofen in plenty of unregulated NHB fights in Brazil that their BJJ is a very effective martial arts. Moreover he also knew that BJJ was still very unknown outside of brazil and that it was impossible to deal with it unless u knew the basics attacks and counters of ground fighting.
So in 1993 he really pulled a masterpeace in founding UFC.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship which was intended to solve the Ultimate Question of all martial arts practicioners Which martial arts is teh best in a 1v1 no rules situation !
Royce Gracie absolutely destroyed the competition in this UFC1 event and suddenly BJJ became famous over night in every country of the world.
However if u are a fair sportsman u must admit that BJJ had a very unfair advantage at this point.
The other martial arts like : Boxing,Kickboxing,Sumo,Karate,Judo etc have all been popular for many years and it was very easy to observe these styles and look for leaks and strength that the BJJ guys could adapt.
BJJ was still very unknown in the US and so nobody knew what he was into when facing Royce Gracie
Its like if someone played PvZ for years but never even seen a replay of PvT and suddenly is thrown into his first PvT without even knowing Terran does exist... while the opponent has watched 4000 replays of PvT and very well knows what to do ^^
U could clearly see that this was the case when u notice that 4 years later BJJ dominance was gone and all the great champions where wrestlers with boxing skills and good Ground and Pound. What simply happend was that over the years and with BJJ becomming popular some of the other martial arts ( especially wrestlers) adapted and became equally good.
With Guys like Wanderlei Silva, Randy Couture and Tito Ortiz comming up it became clear that there is no such thing as
best martial arts
There are a bunch of good effective martial arts and a bunch of not so effective martial arts
BJJ has proven itself over all the years to be in the boat of very effective martial arts toghether with MuayThai,Boxing, Wrestling and Sambo.
Allthough there hasnt been a BJJ champion in UFC or Pride for a long time nobody would ever deny that BJJ works very good for 1v1 fights
What is BJJ about
Well BJJ is basically about getting your opponent on the ground and then submit him through either a choke or a joint manipulation
BJJ originally is a martial arts where u were a GI.
Nowadays most of the BJJ though is without Gi. The no GI BJJ simply became more popular due to the MMA hype.
Here i will show a nice highlight video of a grappling tournament where u can see different submissions.
Its 1.36am now and i will go to bed
part 2 of BJJ review will follow in some of the next blogposts

In other boring news, I'm rolled to take another shot at NL200 tomorrow. Wish me luck.
Well I'm caught up. I waited months before watching season 5 because I prefer watching LOST in marathons sessions rather than 1 episode a week. So I avoided any articles or threads about LOST for months and sat back waiting for the season to end so I could download it all. I've been working 24/7 for the last 3 weeks so I didn't have any time to watch LOST till this weekend, which was my first one off in ages.
Sorry to anyone who got an accidental spoiler last night - I was drinking and cruising through episodes, and I had a funny idea and quickly posted it in my blog btwn episodes. Guess the title was too spoilerish (though I just thought it was a cool title) so my blog got deleted. The LOST spoiler police are vigilant around here!
My blog title was "Ben is the John Connor of LOST" cause I had just watched saiheed (sp?) try to kill Ben as a kid. My girl and I have always talked about how Ben is unkillable and has had a million guns pointed at his head over the seasons and ALWAYS finds a way out of it. Then suddenly there's time traveling and attempts to kill him as a kid and I realized that Ben was the John Connor of LOST - you can't fucking kill the guy no matter how hard you try or how many terminators you send after him. I guess the fact that I watched Salvation yesterday afternoon might have influenced my thinking.
If you've been reading my blog since Friday you'll know that it has become my LOST blog for now. And on Friday night I tried watching the beginning of season 5 after getting high. And you'll also know that I realized it was a BAD idea. LOST is not a show that mixes well with being high cause it's fucking confusing enough without any help. So yesterday (Sat) I ended up rewatching all 7 episodes that I'd watched on friday night so I could figure out wtf was going on. Then I powered through the last 10 episodes and went to bed @ 6am. So even though I started watching on Friday, I still watched the entire season in 1 day cause I had to rewatch everything, lol.
The season started out confusing, then it made sense for a while and I thought I understood everything that was going on, and then the finale came and confused the shit outta me. Very LOST style to do that. My understanding is that we have 2 seasons left before the series finale. I'm so curious to see how they will tie this all up.
As for being confused, the 2 biggest things are wtf is up with John Locke (is that even John Locke?) and did the bomb work? Whats up with the white background at the end of the season when the final "LOST" appears on the screen, as that's normally a black background. Is the bomb just "the incident" or did the bomb change things? God I wanna know!
And who is this new crew of people carrying john lockes body around? They seem to have been recruited by Jacob.
Ok, that's enough rambling for now. I'll probably go rewatch all 5 seasons of LOST sometime soon. My favorite part of the show is still season 1 when things were very lord of the flies.
Sorry, i know this is a repost but since im hurting for opinions/advice/ideas/help im trying one last time, as previously said in my blog, Me and my partner started a business site, So we're offering 50$ Stars. 50$ For just a few ideas 3 max per people for a logo. i won't do any explicit advertisement since it's prohibited here so just PM me ur email or w/e so we can discuss about it. The Rules are in my last blog entry, HOWEVER feel free to give away other ideas as well if you are certain it's awesome we might take it in consideration. The Best Idea will get the monies =x Thank you in advance
Think I'll stake as many people as I can. Under just one this condition: At least 250 posts on Liquidpoker.net.
Profit will be split 80/20 in my favor. Just be honest since it's easy to follow you on tracking sites.
hi
so the title say it all i want a stake for tonight on Pokerstars. For the 12$ 180 pers sng.At least 20 b/c of the high variance of the game 50/50 with stake back.
here are some stats:
Anaxor1986 240 $2 $6 45% $487
i know its not a high volume of the game but i'm a cash player i play nl50 and nl100 on party.i dont know if u need some stats from cash but last year won more then 20k there.
why i want a stake and not play on my own money?first i play better when i am on a stake and if i deposit i will probably play other games
so on a stake i must folow the stake and i'm more focused.
Also i can play some mtts also few months ago lostaccount bought from me 50% from the sunday milion and last chance made a profit of 1200$
I didn't buy my Ninja yet due to laziness, so today I was 4tabling between moving for a lil' (I have a new flat with my GF, today I will sleep over for the first time ;o)
I run good again I would say, and I feel I have control over the limit (as I always felt by the way, I was just tilted by the never ending suckouts and coolers)
One more session and I will be comfortably at 1k again thanks to the $160 bonus (I was at 600 3days ago, now $840)
From the perspective of a week, I have to say that I am glad for the doomswitch, as it forced me to grind NL10 which I never did.
Skipping limits is bad, and now I know why - The large amount of fish at NL10 works as a boot camp for future limits. When you have played with 50% of them at NL10 you know how they think, their general flawed patterns and its easier to spot and exploit them when you meet them at higher limits, where they exist in lower percentages (you don't play them as much and it takes much longer to understand their thinking processes and flaws).
I also feel stronger mentally, and after what I have been through I don't get emotional when the 'bad' limit that I crush starts to own me.
3Months of steady 5BB/100 made me feel that I 'deserve' to win when I am better then everyone else.
Now I understand that I have to respect this game a lot more, that however good I am its not unnatural to run -15BB/100 over 30k hands, that I have to swallow my pride, keep moving down even to irrelevant stakes when the doomswitch arrives, and let this 40BI disaster never repeat itself again.
So I havent had a roll on stars in awhile after moving to FTP for rakeback. My g/f has been steady grinding some cash she traded in from play money, and decided that I too would like to goof around stress free for little while with a challenge I made myself. Back when I used to withdraw money instead of depositing, I would always play with 1 buyin at a time. Meaning even though I had the bank account to roll myself for NL100 or so, I would instead just deposit $200 and play with that at an NL200 game. Something about the pressure of having it all on the table kept me in line. I figured it would be no different with $200 or $2, so I had my g/f ship me $2 for a new stars roll. Since I play LAG, I decided that I dont really need 100BB's to play effectively, even at NL2. In fact especially at NL2. You can get away with so much murder there as fish are typically folding or calling regardless of your bet size. I can literally bet .10 into a 90 cent pot and they will fold if they have nothing. So off I went, playing somewhere around 44/35/5 game, trying to stick and move, build my stack, wield it, then move up again.
Haaaaaaaaaahhh!! Pretty fun actually. I love little challenges. Naturally playing this way I got gayed by some nit AKs vs his AQs, which is gonna happen on occasion. Regardless, I still have a few bucks left so on to round two!
1200 hand session against him, he started tilting and bluffing his stack. He rebought like 4-5x, each 1 taking 2-3 minutes to do so im guessing he redeposited. Hopefully he doesn't have a family to feed.

I've realized that while the first 2 episodes were confusing, they weren't as weird, crazy and confusing as I thought they were. It was definitely too hard to comprehend cause I was high. It's funny rewatching these episodes cause I see stuff that was intense before and I realize how it isn't intense at all, haha.
Today first I played one satellite tournament, but I didn’t succeed because in freezout part I was completely card dead. Then I watched some videos and read some articles again. I watched one video about HM on CR and then I decided to improve my HUD. I download some update and then my HUD completely crushed and I can’t run it again. I reinstall HM three or four times but HUD still wasn’t working. I didn’t know where mistake was but I completely reinstall it one more time and before it I had erased all data from folder and after installation I created new database and it has started working. This shit took me about two and half hour. Then I have finally tuned up my HUD.
I checked out my new HUD set up in 353 hands session. I finished again BE because in the beginning of session I had full stack bad beat against one crazy guy and rest of session I tried to win it back.
First days are not like how I wanted to be but I hope that it will break down and I start winning again. I want to play more but I still have some exams and I have to pass them first. I’m looking forward when exams will be over and I should play all day.
Daily updates are bit too tough for me, so I guess I'll update when I feel like it.
A few things I'm currently working on:
Calling as opposed to 3betting and vice versa.
How people perceive my image, specifically in 3bet pots.
Not spewing in certain call-downs.
Also, playing considerably looser gives you killer swings. I never had many sessions above or below 3bi when playing 15/11. The whole point in playing looser is to push small edges, so if the stacks don't fly, something's probably wrong. I'm definitely far from making perfect decisions though, and my main goal is to consistently play my A-game. I definitely played REALLY bad during two sessions in the last weak, and I opted to cut some tables after talking a bit with rockman. I'm also trying my best to table select, because it's probably the single biggest thing to affect your winrate, even more so than playing good poker.
Hello,
i'm trying HU cashgame at the moment, it's a pretty crazy game actually
I'm totally new at hu, just played a lot of micro HU SNG one year ago.
I've a stoxpoker account and trying to learn all i can but i have no real experience.
I usually play nl50 6max.
So here is a video of me playing hu@nl25.
I'm looking for your help (on specific hands and/or overall advices).
It's 1 hour long and i play against 2 opponents:
- the first one is somewhat standar i guess
- the second one is a weak tight passive smallballer (what's the best strategy vs him? idk)
Yesterday was my first day off in 3 weeks so I decided to get a bit high for the first time in ages. Was watching Con Air and while it starts off well, it sure gets ridiculous in the end and I never realized HOW ridiculous till watching it last night.
Anyway, after that I was like "OH YEAH I HAVE SEASON 5 OF LOST DOWNLOADED! TIME TO START WATCHING THAT!"
SPOILERS BELOW
Now, I am not sure if it's cause I was high or if the first 2 episodes of the season were insanely confusing / kind of stupid, but I had no idea wtf was going on. I mean, I've seen every episode of LOST and even played the stupid game, but I was still totally baffled. I also was thinking "Man they've gone so intense on this time travel shit that it's not the same anymore, I miss the 'lord of the flies' type of days when they first crashed on the island. I dunno if I like this show anymore".
But I powered through and watched till episode 6. By then I was really into it again. I'm not sure if it's cause it got less confusing, was a cooler story, and overall just made more sense, or if the reason I liked it more was cause I was less high. Basically every episode I watched I liked more than the previous one. So was the show getting progressively better or was I just getting more sober?
I have no idea. I'm curious to hear what other people thought about the first 6 episodes of season 5, and PLEASE don't risk any spoilers, just overall impressions =)
I'm actually gonna go rewatch episode 1 as soon as I finish this post, so that should settle it. I hope.
is just wake up the next day and do our best. Quitting isn't an option, and bitching isn't going to miraculously make things better. The cards are out of our control, although we can control how we play. All we can do is play our best and hope for the best.
so no more hardcore bitching from me, I swear that yesterday's outbreak is a once a year thing Thanks for all the comments. Ultimately what matters isn't money but rather happiness (money is only part of that process for many of us). This game isn't gonna break me imo.
