First big cash by RAINISM, July 04

My first blog post....
been a lurker here for a few months. Just to give a little intro of my play: I play $5-$10 sit-n-gos at FullTilt for profit, cash in about 25% of my games. Started playing cash games but thats been a fail.
Anyways I decided to start a blog cause I won first big cash last night. I've been going to a poker room in Rockingham, New Hampshire every other weekend for the last couple months. Bout a month ago I played in my first local live tournament: $40 2 rebuys. Lost soon after my table broke up a couple hours in. After night I realized I had played foolish, folding hands I should have shoved and bluffing in spots I could have easily stealed.
So last night me and my buddies decided to head out again. We all signed up for the $40 rebuy again. There was a big turnout... about 50 players and 50ish rebuys. The poker room took 20% of the prize money... about $1000 is that common in poker rooms? I felt like they were robbing us.
Anyways after a good start I lost half my stack KK vs A-8 offsuit preflop and then bled chips for awhile til button put me all in with ace-rag and I doubled up with AQ. After that I played the best poker I've ever played. Stole lots of pots, made good folds, and got good value on my monsters. Entered final table 4th in chips. Won my first race of the night and stole lots of blinds at the bubble (6 got payed). When it came heads up I was down 4:1 but got lucky on a all-in and played great after that. Winning hand was Ac10s for a club flush. 2nd place was steamed cause he shoved all in with QJo and I called with A10. Felt really good when I realized I won 1st for $1000. Treated my buddies to dinner afterwards. Was a great memorable night.

2. Read at least 3 poker articles a week.
3. Post at least 20 hands a week for analysis
4. Make at least 10 deep analysis on micro stakes hands in the forums.

lol i am/was such a fish by jasper5408, July 04

so after playing a bit drunk, and playing like a real lag fag, it was crazy how much i learned from the experience as a whole. my 3 betting everything was such a dumb idea, and i'm so happy and glad that i've finally moved from it. i've been playing plenty of hands to showdown, making plenty of decisions post flop. another thing i've done is really try and keep an eye out for what my perceived table image is.

anyway up 4 buy ins today. maybe 5 more buy ins and i'll take a shot at .25/.5
i imagine it's about the same but ppl probably want to 3 bet a bit more lightly.

also learning all this cash has def changed my winning sng strategy into a losing one. i feel like austin powers and i just can't recover my mojo!

heather graham, elizabeth hurley, please save me~

Lol Maniacs by Jonoman92, July 04

Played 2 decent sessions today and I had two hands that were somewhat interesting....

This is the lesser cool one but not bad because at least I win. I had no read on the guy but I really never thought that long about laying down my TPTK.
http://i40.tinypic.com/zjw904.jpg

Now this hand is weird. I'd only been at the table for one orbit and it was clear this guy was nuts. I had KhQc by the way and I was pretty stunned by his holdings.
http://i40.tinypic.com/195gzn.jpg

-This is a totally separate thing but I had pocket 7's this hand and 3 people call. Should I always just c/f on a scary board like this since it's very possible someone has a Q?

First Blog... Sustainable? by Miller, July 04

Hey, I've been around LP for awhile just reading post and looking at other peoples blogs... figured it was time to make my own. Been a very marginal winner at cash games and had a few big cashes in MTTs. Mainly play SnGs (DoNs), but I love the community here. After working a whole lot with SnG wizard over the past couple days I reset my graph Thursday and this is what it looks like...

Does anyone think that this is sustainable? I mean I feel like my play is almost perfect now.

LF: play money by Racist Dragon, July 04

$10/million Pokerstars play money. i'll take roughly 3 mill. maybe more. depends on how sexy you are.

sup motherfuckers. this is he, the most badass racist dragon you've ever met.

pokers going good. my goals toward making enough money to get a dick enhancement are rolling along at an alarming rate. much to the chagrin of my other dragon friends

moving to the city soon, to a sweet new pad - gotta completely furnish the bitch, but that's ok. i'm not racist towards furniture. only minorities and majorities.

anyways. i want to buy some play money chips. why? because i'm a fucking poker champ. and i like to show how large my dick is by shoving chips harder into the middle of the pot than a thai hooker working the corner. and i just can't do that with my normal stakes whilst drunk. sad panda stare. and as genjix says, it's actually better to prepare for playing higher stakes by playing lower ones - people are more stupid, more silly, and all around more unpredictable. so basically, i'm preparing for nl400 by playing play money. it was either this, or prepare for nl200 by playing nl10, but i decided to play it safe.

i'll pay 10$/m, and of course you're sending it first. because i'm racist, so shut your dick hole already.

oh ya. my laptop is a cuntlicker, and HEM HUD keeps fucking up, so i've got into the habit of setting it to factory settings and downloading like ~65 updates, then installing everything and finetuning my firewall and shit.

i'm like a fucking pro. fuck dell, call the racist dragon

i'd post a graph. but i've got into the perpetual habit of only havin like 20k hands then having to wipe my laptop. so fuck graphs.

later home slices

woot! by JoeDeertay, July 03

So now that I've been finished with classes for the summer since friday, I thought that I'd start grinding cash again the days I don't have work. I started at NL25 on stars because I've only left about $750 for myself online, but this week has ust been a fucking disaster. I haven't been playing anything near my A game and I know it, and it is really pissing me off and making me play worse. Add that on top of the fact that I am running insanely fucking bad as well. Bad play + bad luck = bankroll death, and although I'm no where near busto I'm down about $315, which is about $360 below expectation. FUN FUN FUN! Here's what my HEM looks like since June 28th (I've had to move down to NL10 since then):

http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/58cb6a57a165c587b8467ef547b9d8ec.jpg

NOTE: The NL50 hands were just from some 1-tabling HU a few days while I was bored or something during the last week of class iirc, before I took $1k offline because I needed cash. So I guess I'm running a little better than I thought but it still sucks. The NL2 hands were from my session testing TableNinja.

Today was the worst single session I've had in a looooong time. I ended up down like 6.5BI in about 3500 hands and was 7BI -EV. WEEEEEEEE!!

http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/6579f5d81fb104ddf95d1f4a0602db11.jpg

So I'm playing like shit and running like shit too, so life really sucks right now. Hopefully this weekend is awesome, though. I have a lot of plans with my friends and lady friend so it should be a good time to just take a break for a few days and get a little fucked up. woot!

GL all,
-Joe

Fulltiltpoker Rakeback Question by AutumnSolace, July 03

I remember reading here that someone here kept bugging support until they let him open a new account for rakeback? Is this true?

Anyways I e-mailed support asking what options I had. I made it clear I already had an account with no rakeback. The person told me they gave my information to rakebackpros.com and they will be in further contact with me. Is this BS or what? Or can they actually add rakeback to my pre-existing account?

Any info/help would be appreciated.

From now on I'm going to try and update my blog everyday that i play. Since I play mtt's i only play about 5 days a week since it can be pretty draining to go deep in a tourny and get coolered or sucked out on near the end of it.

So heres my first update:

34K GTD----------------925/1406--------------$26
Satellite to 750k------35/36-----------------$15
19.5K GTD Rebuy--------259/366---------------$62
50K GTD----------------287/380---------------$163
21K GTD KO-------------1209/1288-------------$26
40K GTD----------------234/612---------------$75
12.5K GTD Rebuy--------7/282----------------+$334
35K GTD----------------28/1433--------------+$72
Daily Double A---------336/1158--------------$12
Daily Double B---------216/981---------------$12
The Fifty Fifty--------148/1109-------------+$23

Total +$38

Starting BR: $7191
Finishing BR: $7229

Looking for feedback on this blog format so tell me what you think.

Playing a small session as we speak because I'm probably gonna be playing Dota tonight. Ill update again tomorrow probably. Also looking for advice from good mtt players.

I 4-6 tabled NL50, 14-19 tabled NL25 (1k VPP Till Supernova, then its full time NL50)

Some NL50 hands (All done with 20BI BR btw)

A very good reg with huge stack

Here I could pot flop and bet more turn, lost a couple bucks there.

His stats were tight (11/10), but my gut told me he might have been trying to pick the dead money a decent amount of time+ the turn bet was way too weak.

gay mode engaged:

NL50 So far: (the drop is from a very standard AK vs AA against a Maniac PF All-in)inhttp://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/589193531e1c29cfaea315807d450fcd.png

Something tells me that red line will be my major source if income at this limit. I have been applying 4bet bluffs, double barrels, range balancing c/r bluffs and donk bets at NL25 for a long time now, with only breakeven results from the bluffs and benefit of metagame, But at NL50 it seems to be finally tipping into positive figures.

Party Update by Svenman87, July 03

So last night a few girls came up from Iowa to party and chill at my buddies house.

We played some P & A and Ride The Bus, even I got pretty drunk... But then again I swear I was the only one drinking legit drinks, and I had a mixed drink on top of that.

Funny story I end up crashing on the couch, and my buddy crashes on the one adjacent to it. A few minutes go by then I hear someone walking up from downstairs over to the couch, I look over and it's obv one of the girls (the model to be exact) then I start hearing kissing shit and before long they're fucking hardcore right next to my fucking head. I had a pretty sick read on the guy not lasting more than 5 minutes so I figured I'd enjoy the trip and also add some lullz in at the end.

So about 5 minutes go by and they stop, he gets up to go to the bathroom when I pop up off the couch and say pretty loudly "Tag Out!" He instinctively puts up his hand and I kinda skip over to the girl who proceeds to call me a few rude names and goes back downstairs.

Tonight is the beer pong tourney; I'll have pics hopefully tomorrow morning, if not... I'll have a long update on the 5th that will include tonight and tomorrow's adventures.

I hope I didn't kill my chances with fucking that chick though :[

p.s. a few nights ago I was at a party after bar close with a few buddies and people I graduated with... Anyways one girl there was all on my cock, I end up asking her, "In that closet... Or in the woods"

[I had no idea who she was, apparently a friend of a friends who was there, if I knew her name I'd look up photo's on facebook but All I remember is her name was Angie xD /phail........]

She chose in the woods, I am like [yezzzzzzz] I tell her I'm going to piss I'll brb. 1 Minute later I walk out of the bathroom, I cant find the girl outside, I walk back in and she's passed out COLD ON THE FUCKING COUCH.

I RUN SOOOOOOOOOO BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
