Because of the work I did on the campaign I got tickets to the town hall in Grand Junction tomorrow. I just hope I don't get shot by some crazy Glenn Beck loving lunatics. EastSide can you put the word out to your buddies that I'm not worth shooting? ^^
Conservatives delude themselves that the Bush tax cuts worked and that the best medicine for America’s economic woes is more tax cuts; at a minimum, any tax increase would be economic poison. They forget that Ronald Reagan worked hard to pass one of the largest tax increases in American history in September 1982, the Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act, even though the nation was still in a recession that didn’t end until November of that year. Indeed, one could easily argue that the enactment of that legislation was a critical prerequisite to recovery because it led to a decline in interest rates. The same could be said of Clinton’s 1993 tax increase, which many conservatives predicted would cause a recession but led to one of the biggest economic booms in history.
Nigga wut? Did he just say that a tax increase lead to an economic boom? No way!
There also seems to be a Beck / Palin rumor going around about "Death Panels" which is pretty lolz. I guess I'll get to see some of these whacko's tomorrow, oh happy happy joy joy.
Oddly I'm not that excited about going - I think the fact that I need to get up at 7am and won't be home till 11pm is part of the problem. At the same time I'm getting a bit pumped up to go show support cause I believe we fucking NEED to change our healthcare system and I like Obama's plan for how to get the change started. I don't think he's got it perfect, but I think he's on the right track. And I like the fact that he's willing to be a 1 term president if it means getting health care reformed.
Any ideas on questions to ask if I get a chance? Or better yet, questions to ask the nutjobs?
And for laughs, Jon Stewart lands a huge zinger on Obama, makes fun of Obama supporters and points out some of the nutjob haters.
Move Up: 24BI up to NL100, Stop there until April 2k10
Move Down: 20BI , quit if I am at NL10 by april 2k10
Stop Loss: 2BI in one session, 4BI per day
Rule: Only 4 tables + up to 2 donkmants.
Breaking the rule of 4 tables and breaking stop loss in the process : I will withdraw to 20 BI at current limit and move down at 18.
Why?
Well Up24/ Down20 'Shot' seems to be perfect, 4bi should be enough while 24BI is not too little.
And as for the brutal withdrawal rule: I have to punish myself for multitabling, or I will never stop, and I would lose it anyway if I would multitable (If not in money terms, than at least in lost learning).
I never lasted more than 4 days at only 4 tables (and I have winrate average about 8bb/100 at 4 tables throughout stakes), hopefully I can make it this time around. My only goal still stands: A winner at NL200 in 12 months.
Wish me luck, I will make a post whenever I move up or down or break the rule.

So I don't really know what this graph means but if someone wants to explain please let me know haha:-) I think I'm playing pretty well at NL25 but it's hard to tell.
hey mangs. thanks for choosing to participate in my topic!
ok basically:
1. i open up HEM
2. i click auto-import
3. i start playing poker on full tilt poker
4. it all works fine
PROBLEM TIME:
5. after about 7 hands it stops importing.
it simply ceases to update! and after like 40 minutes of playing i still have like 7 hand stats on people. it's taking the hands in though because when i stop playing and look at my session it's got all the hands in, so it seems to be just a HUD problem.
Had to spend like 4 hours of today helping someone out, then another 6 hours helping my mom do crap, not helped by the 20 minute drive home taking 70 minutes because of pretty much no reason on the Merritt Parkway. All that said, I got some hands in so the day at least wasn't a total loss.
Didn't play well at all, probably 500 in mistakes over the 6 hours. Yay for reloads, but once these fish dry up I better get my act together or I'm gonna be in a lot of trouble. Gotta get up soon, DMV crap I need to do as early as possible, then sleep + poker all day tomorrow.
K, so i woke up 20 minutes late today, take a shower anyway cause wtf, cant go a day+ without one. I then get in my bigass penske truck which is a fucking piece of shit faggot and I type my store into the GPS. My GPS brings me to a housing district and not a business in sight, wtf. I type the address into my iphone, it takes me to another housing district, wtf??? Then I find the road that the wal-mart is supposed to be on and I just drive up and down it til i find it, k now im 30 minutes late.
I do the CBL computers then head to the pharmacy to do their pc's. I find my pharmacist to introduce myself to and it is a pleasant old lady who is very fun/nice.(This is rare and awesome, working with a fuckhead is annoying. I'm great with people and have way less problems than most of the other nerdy antisocial techs however.) I start my first pc when in walks a cute 22-25 year old girl who is a pharmacy tech. We both lock eyes and I can tell she is at least interested.
Anyways, I'm jabbering to all of the pharmacy people and we're all having a great time and im actually having loads of fun while working. A few times i got a solo conversation with said cutie though and yeah, flirting is fun. This goes on for like 2 hours and then im installing a new scanner for barcode reading.
Said chick comes up to me while I'm holding a screwdriver and taking out the old mount. She says "Wow, looks like you're pretty good at screwing." wtf wow!!??? I have absolutely no idea how to respond to this without either looking desperate or awkward so I put together this dandy of a line within a second or so. "Yeah, well, it comes with the territory" and I gave her a wink. We continue flirting and talking about screwing/pulling in cute sexual ways and then as im done doing what im doing she says "Too bad I'm married and have a kid" and then she walks off. wtf??? we didnt talk after that. I've never felt so raped and used in my life.
On the brightside though man, my next city was DODGE MOTHER FUCKING CITY KANSAS. The gunslingin' gambling most badass city I thought ever existed since i was a little kid dream about dodge omg yes i'm going there finally.
holy fuck now that im here, wow, dodge is fucking the worst city ive ever been to. It smells awful, my hotel is terrible, there aren't any gunfights or saloons or prostitutes or fuck even horses or something. I've never been so let down in my life, wow dodge sucks. There is literally not a single good thing I have to say about dodge. It's undoubtedly the worst place ive ever been. I'm so let down you guys have no idea. I planned my week out and did stores slow so that I could stay here this weekend and mingle and go to museums and have stuff to do and love it.
Main Event Trip Report Part 2by BJLTNYK, August 13
A day off and day 2
I got a good night’s sleep after day 1D. I was exhausted and Tuesday was a day off. I headed over to the Palms for a little bit to meet up the fellow sports betting degens 2p2ers luckybacon and rayschampsin08 (fatdan44). I watched them play BJ and craps for a bit before heading back to the Bellagio to play some roulette and bet on some sports. Dan and I agreed to bet $500 each on a WNBA game which was a slight problem for the Bellagio. The max bet for a WNBA game is $500 so the floor woman had to call upstairs to get permission for me to place 2 separate wagers on the game. I was eventually allowed to after shifting the line a half a point lol. I then had a near crushing experience at the roulette table which saw me have $1800 riding on black in a horrendous martingaling run. Thankfully the ball landed in a beautiful black space and I took it as my cue to go back to my room to relax for the rest of the night.
I came into day 2B with 50525 and the blinds would be starting at 250-500-50. I learned that I would have 2p2 superstar David Sklansky on my table which made me a little giddy. We would only be playing 4 levels this day which was also a small relief.
I arrived to the Rio early once again excited to attempt to accumulate chips. I unbagged my chips and took a walk to meet up with some other 2p2ers. I found thac seated sporting his new green Yankees cap that he would be wearing next to Dan Harrington. In an incredibly socially awkward move I walked up and completely forgot to introduce myself and wished him good luck. Trevor seemed really confused as he wished my good luck back. Guess I was wrong thinking he’d recognize me being facebook friends for like 2 years? …heh. I then walked over and met another sports betting friend and recent FTOPS shipper inyaface which was also cool. I headed back to my table to size everyone up. Sklansky was in the 2 seat and the table chip leader with over 100k was in the 3 seat. I was in the 6 and a nicer older gentleman was in the 7 with a healthy stack as well. In the 8 seat was Rasmus Vogt who had within the month just won a $500 deepstack at the Venetian for over 100k. In the 9 was a middle aged guy who I took to be a fireman from New Jersey iirc. His wife was standing behind him and she was way too good looking for him imo.
250-500-50
Yeah there were no interesting hands. This table was tight as hell and I couldn’t pick up any steam during the first level which was frustrating. The big stack in the 3 seat was doing a ton of limping and I was trying to isolate others whenever he wasn’t in a pot. Sklansky was doing a fair amount of limping as well showing down 66 and 1010 that he limped in EP and checked down to rivers in pots that players clearly had no intention of winning. I called my girlfriend on the break to focus and complain about how my table wasn’t ideal for accumulating. I finished the level with 54875 so I had chipped up slightly.
Fun Sklansky notes:
Midway through the level he pulls out one of those finger things that you brush an infant child’s teeth with. And brushes his damn teeth like no one is looking at him.
He also just stares around blankly…ALL THE TIME. I felt violated any time I caught his eyes looking at me.
300-600-75
Pretty early in the level my first big hand happens. UTG limps and I make it 2500 UTG+1 with AKo. The older gentleman to my left flats and it folds to fireman in the 9. He thinks and makes it 12k. Folds back to me and I think over my options. I hate folding because zomg its AK and I’m an internet player. I’m also not too thrilled about shoving because this guy hasn’t touched a chip all day and I don’t expect him to be squeezing too light ever in his life. He has about 35k behind after his raise and I decide to jam probably due to the frustration I’d been feeling. Then the hand gets more interesting. The guy next to me starts tanking…forever. Nearly 10 minutes pass and he’s still sitting there tanking. The guy in the 9 seat is fidgeting a little bit and he says to me “I KNOW YOU DON’T GOT ACES.” I politely remind him that there’s another player in the hand. Shortly after this exchange the guy next to me folds and fireman takes ~15 seconds before calling all-in. I shrug and flip over AK and he slams his two kings on the felt. He stands up from his chair and starts storming around the table yelling “I FINALLY GOT YOU I KNEW I WAS GONNA GET YOU.” Word? That’s cool I love when people go nuts completely unprovoked. I start thinking about grinding less than 10k chips as the board is unveiled JJ7…7….ACE. I stand up and yell “YES…THAT’S WHY YOU DON’T CELEBRATE BEFORE THE HAND IS OVER.” I usually don’t get excited or yell but this guy had sent me over the edge a bit. He angrily grabs his things and his too hot for him wife and storms off. I apologize to the table and they all understand where I was coming from. The man next to me says he folded QQ. Sick deck.
Our table breaks shortly after and I get moved with ~115k to Tim Phan’s direct left. I don’t know much about his game but remember being impressed with him during his deep Main Event run and remember him being regarded as a tough cash game player. After raising a few pots and taking them preflop Phan and I get involved in a pot bvb.
Phan raises to 1800 and I look down at A10dd and 3 bet to 5k. He takes little time in flatting presumably to own my soul postflop. Flop comes A75ss and I check behind. Turn is a 2s and Phan thinks before check calling 7k. River is a pretty offsuit 10. After he checks I bet 17k and he says nh after paying it off. I’m assuming I 2 outed the river. That pot pushes me up to about 150k and I’m feeling great.
Funny hand at this table…folds to Mickey “Mickey Mouse” Mills in the CO with like 70k and he just open jams. After getting 3 folds he shows the table 1010. Lol wtf? Apparently this dude plays a lot of live MTTs too…one of the dumbest hands I’ve watched.
This table breaks pretty quickly which isn’t too big a disappointment to me and I get moved to my 3rd table of the day. I splash around a little bit and finish the level with 122,100. We go off to the senior citizens dinner break and I refocus and relax for a bit looking to finish the day strong.
400-800-100
A shorter stack opens in the CO and I flat the SB with KJs. Flop comes KK4hh and we get it all in with him having Q3hh. I fade the heart and slide his 50k over to my stack chipping me up to ~170k and getting the momentum right back to me. I win a couple more pots opening A5s and check-raising a gutshot straight flush draw as well as binking an ace on the turn after opening A7s and cbetting a Q high board.
Surprise! My table breaks AGAIN. I take my seat in the middle of the blue section sure that my 4th table of the day will be my last which is a relief. My new table has Annie Duke’s boyfriend Joe Reitman 2 to my right and high stakes mixed game player Thomas Koral to my direct left. Reitman is pretty friendly chatting up the entire table and tweeting like a madman. Koral is tight, observant, and solid but thankfully is severely short stacked the duration of my stay at the table.
I’m raising every other pot to 2300 and the table is letting me. They claimed the person who had that seat before me was doing something similar but ended up spew imploding. I was determined to not do that myself! After losing a small flip 77 < AJs I finished the level with 160,100 entering the last break of the night.
500-1000-100
The table continues to let me dominate now making it 3k every other hand. I couldn’t believe how soft everyone was playing and how face up they were playing. THIS was a Main Event table. At one point Annie Duke came over to say hi to her beau and announce her presence to the world…uh thanks.
The level didn’t really have many interesting hands. Crazy euro opens in HJ to 2500. Tight guy next to me jams 17k. I find AKs in the BB and make it 50k total. Euro tank folds what I believe he said were two tens and I hold v. AQo. I c/r a few flops when people were clearly FOS and cbet when someone happened to flat my open. I finished day 2B with 226,700 putting me in great chip position before the whole field would combine two days later for day 3. Another easy night’s sleep waited.
Music You Need To Hear (Vol.1)by Svenman87, August 13
I'm thinking about doing this monthly... There is a lot of great music out there and it sucks that a lot of it won't be played on the radio (I'm pretty lucky that Minnesota has 89.3 The Current)
Anyways here are some bands and songs I really like listening to. Share some of yours
some might say I'm promoting fear by posting this video
others might say I'm promoting education or discussion
I say ultimately it's your choice how you decipher, handle and decide what you do when something comes your way
and I hope you don't act through fear inasmuch as something else
I say that last bit to myself as much as you guys
and in other news...
here's a good laugh
and here is a small small taste of what could happen
decipher this for yourself
Trying to spend my FPP, I sifted through poker book threads and bought one recommended by 2
people without reading the whole thread really. The Book had a promising title... Play poker like the Pros.
Today I go all excited to post office only to see the author... PHIL OMFG HELMUTH
If I wasn't tilted enough from my 40 bi downswing and lack of concentration due to work, after reading for 2 minutes about Jackals
,lions and retarded Helmuth moves I think my poker confidence will never be restored again.
Thanks a lot Bane and Sirracksalot and others who didn't let me know it was a joke. (As I would never expect a book from Phil Helmuth without Phil Helmuth on the cover)
I want to do the reload bonus on stars, so i will transfer you $51 on stars, you transfer me $51 on neteller.
SO that my friend on his neteller, can deposit to his FTP account, get his money from FTP to neteller, transfer me it on netelleer, lending me the $600 to get the full reload bonus...
anyone?
i will transfer first on stars, please only known people.
i want a poker site where every player gets his slanksy bucks rewarded whenever there is an allin situation. i think at this site i could actually be a winner.
seriously i am sick of the sickness of this game.
maybe a gipsy cursed me or the poker universe just hates me, i cant win a single fucking important pot it is FUCKING impossible.
Ye I keep making these half assed short updates and shit so I figured I would make a bigish one for once. Since I got home from vegas I was sort of motivated to grind a ton. I decided that since I am going back to school and wont have alot of time I was going to grind 2/4 6-max on ipoker for a stress free grind to throw in whenever I have some free time. I decided not to play anything higher even if my bankroll went huge because I just dont want my life to be affected by my poker results at all, especially when I am in school. The ipoker games where suprisingly good, I stick to the 50bb min tables and there still plenty of really bad players and bad regs. The problem is, I have some serious lagtarded issues. I think playing only heads up for so long ruined me completely, I just try to run people over a bit too much and just dont give anyone credit for anything. I am slowly adjusting but its really going slow and getting used to playing 6-max again has been kinda painful. I am still like 36/31/6 and Im still spewing in obvious spots.
I think the main problem is that I dont really enjoy playing 6-max that much. Its just a grind and it kinda bores me sometimes but whatever, its just a job and a job that pays pretty well if you know what you are doing. So this sunday I decided to play a couple of donkaments for kicks and among those where the ftops 500 hu. Emmidiately after starting my first match in that I realized how much more comfortable I am with playing heads up. I just enjoy it more and I feel superconfident in my own ability to crush my opponents. Heads up is just such a fast paced game where gameflow can change in an instant and making good reads and getting inside your opponents head pays off really fast. In 6-max its just way more of a grind, you pick up some tendecies that you might use to make a thin call down 1500 hands later or w/e but its so slow and grindy compared to hu. Its also way easier to actually see where your ev is coming from in HU which always is a comfort.
I went deep in the 500 HU and eventually busted 7th for 14,3k(as mentioned before). Kinda discuraged with losing the match against a fishy player that went on to win the whole thing but atleast I was really loving poker again. After this I havent played a single hand of 6-max, I also havent stuck to my rule of playing only 2/4. (w/e i felt really focused and played some 5/10 yesterday, sue me!)
Cashing in the HU donkament gave me a roll of ftp and the HU action there is really sick. Alot of bumhunters but the playerpool is so huge its not that hard to find someone to play you, especially since my tableratings shows me at like negative 9k or something after some random spews i made a couple of months back.
So now I am in a bit of a predicament because HU isnt all fine and dandy either. It is alot more stressful, you cant always get action and you have to deal with the constant fear of some opponent quiting you at any second. It can also be really swingy if you are into that kind of thing. 6-max on the other hand is very consistant, not terribly swingy and just all in all a comfortable grind. You can always sit down, decide to grind for two hours and that is that. Its just boring and I am not as good at it as I am in heads up. To actually show a good profit I need to man up and stop lagtarding whenever I get a chance.
Being results oriented aside, I think I am pretty good at hu and definitely alot better than I am at 6-max. It just suits me better. I still wanna polish my 6-max game so I can actually grind it profitably whenever I dont feel like playing HU or w/e.
As for not poker related stuff, I finally locked down an appartment and I am signing contracts and stuff this saturday. Took me a while but I finally found one that I really like and that didnt skyrocket completely in price. I will upload pictures when I have moved in and stuff but I am pretty stoked about it. Cost me 1,1 mil SEK(uhm I guess like $140k) for a small appartment in central uppsala. Living aint ez.
Im getting pumped for school, I know its going to be tough and disgusting but I welcome the challenge as I havent done much at all but playing some poker here and there for the last year. Gonna try and make the most of the last few weeks for freedom I have.
Ill end it at with a cool song with a very swedish summerish video.
new FTP account, fucking need rakebackby palak, August 13
Wanna get rakeback and FTP is being little bitches about giving rakeback to me, "we never give rakeback to old accounts" which I know is bullshit. So I'm just going to make a new account, anyway I need someone who can transfer about 9.3k (currently) from full tilt to stars and back. What I wanna do is transfer person 1 my FTP roll on FTP, then he transfers the money to person 2 on stars, then person 2 transfers it back to me on full tilt.
Any help or ideas of getting rakeback besides creating a new account would be great.
I never felt so bad pokerwise. Seriously, i just dont get it.
I'm sitting at the casino, playing 5/5( I normally dont play these stakes online, but i do sometimes IRL, since i found a job)
So i'm sitting there, 100 BB Deep.
I get QQ in the CO, with 2 limpers. I make it 25 and get 4 callers. The flop is 5d6c10c. UTG opens with 65, some lame freaking fat guy makes it 130. I shove, overbetting enormously. UTG thinks for a long time and folds, that fucking lame fat guy calls and show Jc7c. Turn is the 3 of clubs and i'm drawing dead....
I rebuy for 50 BB, and after 2 hand i get dealt KK UTG. I limp, UTG+1 makes it 30, some guy in MP makes its 90. I make it 180, UTG+1 folds and the MP guy pushes. I ovb call and he shows me AKss. Flop is KAJ, turn brings an ace, river is a jack.
I had enough to rebuy but i decided to quit and go home and play some online. Then sh*t like this http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/730335 and this http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/730338 keeps happening to me, like over and over again. No matter how hard I try to do my best, I always seem to lose when i'm like 80-20 favorite.
I never fel worse pokerwise and i really consider taking a 6 month or sth break, or even cashing out...
It has been months that i just cant seem to win..
The good thing is I play a lot more than I used to a couple of months ago and I'm eager to learn new things. I started rewatching my sessions with D_Zoo again, which helps me a lot I think, plus I got an annual DC subscription. Speaking of DC - I can't wait to see the first episode of "2 months 2 million" - it might be a great show I love Krantz videos - it'll be cool to see how he lives.
So in July we (I, Kajriss, Mierzwix and KPL) visited our friends in London. Well, maybe not exactly our friends, we met a few times with them but the main activity during this trip was playing in the Victoria casino. + Show Spoiler +
Mierzwix ended up like 500 or 600gbp, the other guys were pretty much even and I lost like 1,5k But I don't count it as 'poker' money but rather as money that I spent on this trip. Otherwise I'd be up less in July if I counted that in and it wouldn't be the best month in my career
We've also been to this stripclub called "Browns". It's pretty fun, definitely worth checking out
I guess that's it for now, I'm going to post something later this week about my plans for the future etc. so stay tuned !
anyone got it or play it :D? Even tho ur all starcraftheads maybe theres someone around who has this game, if you dont have it its sick its like a mix between crysis and battlefield
maybe ill also start playin some pokarz soon too????
pz
