100nlFR help by whamm!, September 10

is this impossible now? pls someone who can beat this take me up on coaching/profit sharing long term. i keep whining about rigged bullshit but my redline at 100nl can definitely make me a winner since im breakeven for the year at this limit so if i fix that ( redline is really bad at 100nl) i think i can become a solid winner. i only need a couple lessons a month, mostly just HH questions and just plain perspective from a coach who crushes this and does it with ease, i think that alone can really give me the confidence i need. i can beat 50nl so i dont think its really gonna be that hard to teach me to beat 100nl. free monies for like a couple of hours of your time a month? ive got some coaching offers before but i think theyre busy/changed their mind etc.

here are majority of my leaks ( as i have noticed over hands ) ::

blind vs blind (i am very uncomfortable most times here, ends up being a guessing game)

getting 3bet by an aggro guy in position ( i usually fold and tighten up , then i finally get a hand and fucking guy has aa/kk/aks/qq and i have to bet/call JJ/1010/ako )

bet sizing postflop, (when i have a hand)

single raised pots in general

REDLIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE (prob my worst leak)

I know these are fairly fundamental, and i have no problem at lower stakes since obv people respect my raises more lol. srsly an lper needs help here, and this can be mutually beneficial for both of us without too much hassle - you only lose some of your time

first crack at 100nl by julep, September 10

moved up to 100nl recently and found i couldnt really play more than 8 tables and continue having ok non showdown winnings. the first 5k hands are when i was 12 tabling so i decided to move down to 6-7. i really think this is a much better way of playing since it allows many more opportunities to learn more about the game.
Ive decided i want to keep winning at the same rate for another 50k hands or so before i start mixing some 200nl tables in.

Wow, live it is by NewbSaibot, September 10

Man oh man, just got back from some live NL50. As I type this I cant help but stare at the screen damage I have inflicted on my monitor, all from sessions that were about half as bad as tonight's. Yet I am quite happy, feeling content, and in a good mood. Why? Because I played live. I lost to so many bad beats, but yet there I was, laughing and patting them on the backs, it was all in good fun. I came with 2 fucking buyin's, didnt stress one bit, and played my A game as if I had 50 buyins. This is what I've been talkin about, playing online just sucks so bad for me. I cant believe how easily I tilt online and yet live doesnt bother me at all. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I should simply stick to live play. What a good night. I'm sitting there shipping A6o from the SB knowing it's good and wanting them to call, and I get obliged by 67s, and lose. No worries I got it in ahead. Then I ship AKo the very next hand and get called by 77 and win. At this table I'm playing for value, I'm literally fist pumping when they turn over a dominated hand. Online I'm literally squeamish hoping they dont somehow suckout. This is a huge fucking problem for me as a poker player. Basically everything I do online I do backwards. I mean I play for value the same way but do it for different reasons, I dont know how to describe it. In any event, tonight's session even further solidified the reality that I should just stick to live play. I still havent deposited online per my plan to take a silly shot at the shallow tables on stars, and now I'm realizing this will just be a recipe for disaster when I lose my 4-5 BI's to some fish. But I can take that same money and play those same limits live and be totally happy about it.

Oh yeah, I somehow miraculously broke even tonight, to the dollar from my initial buyin.

The HU 2-7 Triple Draw SnG by Artoo_Detoo, September 09

Hey everyone, thanks to those who weighed in on my last post, tooker, whamm, byrnesam, and K40Cheddar. I especially want to thank K40Cheddar, I tried a $2.00 + 0.20 2-7 Triple Draw Sit-and-Go just now and owned, had to come back from the brink but clearly that's mostly because it's a pretty high variance game, since as you can see from the hands I posted, my opponent was pretty dumb. I'm underrolled so I'm not sure if I want to keep going, but I'm glad I found a way to own nubs now. So thanks!

The (re)Grind by player999, September 09

After a ~100bi downswing (half of it on stupid MTTs ), I'm gonna start grinding hardcore till the end of the year. Have 90k VPPs right now, plan to get to 200k by playing the 57s only(so I have to play a shitfuckinglot of sngs everyday, 1k VPP/day-13.75 vpps/sng).

With my winrate + rakeback the plan is to make 1000 buy ins until the end of the year, so wish me luck guys!

Day one was nice, my head is spinning a lil bit cuz I played a lot more than needed but ran quite good and ended up a lot, at this pace I'd end +3000 bis lol but I expect the run bad to hit me or my level of play to decrease due to going crazy.

Really hope I can pull it off

Recent Poker Stuff by vasoline73, September 09

What's up LP.

I wanna start this blog by saying thank you to anyone who has commented on my hand histories, blog, or who railed me in MiniFTOPS event 1. I really appreciate it, it helps me become a better player, and I feel more "part of the community." You guys have really helped me out.

Anyways, to the updates...

I am starting to move up to NL10 rush. My bankroll now sits at 510$ and I feel good about my chances to succeed at the new limit. At NL10 I have noticed more 3betting blind v button which for someone who steals all the time is a little frustrating, but I am working on

a.) looking at stats before I steal (thinking twice before stealing from 11% 3bet)
b.) stealing with hands that at least have some equity post flop

My NL5 results are as such...

http://x24.xanga.com/f92f634023633271712864/b216714711.png

I feel like the limit is pretty much beaten for now. Maybe I'll have to go back, and honestly part of me wants to stay there because I feel very comfortable grinding it, but with 50 buyins for NL10, I need to push myself and move up.
----------------------
The second part of this update is about miniFTOPS Event #1! I made a deep run (came in 153rd) and made 173$, which is pretty gay compared to how much I could have made, but not a bad score for a NL5 grinder. Obviously I had luck when I needed it, but I also feel like up until the last 30 minutes of the tournament I was playing very solid.

Last year I played event #10 and was making a deep run until this hand so in my mind I've had success in these big MTTs. Granted it's only two of them, but I've also had a deepish run in the Super Stack $6000 guarantee. I feel like I preform best with a super stack as opposed to a normal 1500 starting stack.

Looking at my sharkscope, it's pretty obvious I have concentration issues but I've been learning a lot about stealing and restealing and yesterday I felt very comfortable playing around the bubble. . Regardless, it was exciting for me to have a run at a decent payout. Also, playing with Scott Fischman was fun too. Lucky he was on my right, and lucky he wasn't too active.

The one thing I did do that was a big BIG BIG mistake was invite my friends over to rail me. They were such faggots. Individually I'm sure they all would have been serious, but they came to rail me and ended up just being annoying and not helpful. Granted they don't really play poker, but it still sucked. Definitely helped me lose my concentration and drive near the end of the tournament. Next time I will try harder, learn from my mistakes, and hopefully do a better job. As of now I'm thinking about what other event to play...
------------------------------------------------------
Anyways, that's it for now. Does anyone have any advice for NL10 rush? Nl10 in general? Poker in general? lol. I've been trying to study a lot.

Thanks for reading LP.
