Selling... by TenBagger, October 12

I am considering selling a percentage of my action for several fantasy basketball leagues. I am currently in 11 leagues and I've spent over 10K in buyins. There are several more leagues that I'm interested in joining and I'd like to reduce my cash outlay and my variance as well. Considering that my ROI in fantasy leagues over the past 10 years has been over 300%, I'd rather not pass up the +EV. The additional time investment from managing 11 leagues and 16 leagues is minimal so I'd like to maximize my EV and participate in as many leagues as possible.

I have not yet decided on the markup but it will certainly be far far less than fair value to the point where I believe it would be massively +EV for any backer. As for my results, quite a few people on this forum will vouch for me. I've finished ITM (usually first) in every single LP fantasy baseball/basketball league over the past 4 years (7 straight cashes). I took first (with NBB) in the high stakes 2+2 league last year and I can provide screenshots for the numerous other first place finishes and cashes in high stakes live leagues that I participate in. I feel as though I have an edge in fantasy basketball against even the toughest competition and my results certainly back that up.

For anyone that decides to buy action, Please note that I will not come in contact with your money. The money should be sent directly to the commissioner of the respective league and you will be paid directly as well. As for the trustworthiness of the commissioner, I can say that I have looked into it and I feel comfortable sending my own money. However, I will provide full details of each commissioner and it will be up to each prospective backer to decide if that person's credentials are satisfactory. If you feel at all uncomfortable with the commissioner's credibility, I advise that you do not participate in that league. If the commissioner ends up not paying out, I will be scammed as well so I am not willing to take on the added liability to make a personal guarantee. I am including this disclaimer so that there is full and fair disclosure. With that said, I have a high degree of confidence in the commissioner of each league that I participate in, to the degree that I am willing to risk my own money. I'd like to add though that there are quite a few people that can vouch for my trustworthiness. Over the past 5+ years that I've been on this forum, I've had many dealings with quite a few users and I'm sure that every single person will attest to the fact that I've been honest and fair.

One backer for each league will be given access to team as a co-manager. However, you will not be given any managerial control. The access is solely for you to view the progress and I will maintain full managerial control over the team.

Here are the leagues that I'm considering:

-$2500 buyin 15 team 10 category auction league (FG made and FT made instead of points). Pays to 3 places, first prize $20K.

-$1500 buyin 9 category auction league. teams and payout TBD

-$1500 buyin 9 category snake draft league. teams and payout TBD

-$1000 buyin 8 category auction league. teams and payout TBD

-$500 buyin 16 team 10 category auction league. Pays to 3 places, first prize $4K.

Note that all leagues are roto and not H2H. Roto is a lot more skill based and has less variance as well. For this reason, I no longer participate in any H2H leagues.

I'm not quite sure of what the markup will be and what the minimum amount is that I would accept. All I can say is that if you are interested, pm me and once I gauge the interest, I'll respond with more details. One thing I am sure of is that I will not sell more than 50% in any league so you can be sure that I am personally and substantially invested as well. Thanks for reading and wish me luck this season!

today by PplusAD, October 12

+ 8 BI at 12$ HU SNGS played ~ 90 of them.
would have been + 9 Bi probably if i didnt accidently quit one of the sngs with 60-40 chip advantage ...

Dont know just played many tables and many sngs and at one point i thought i had hand history open and wanted to close it.
but there always came that message that i didnt really read cause i was busy playing ^^ and that annoyed me ^^ so after 3 times i just clicked " yes" and then i realized oops did exit an open sng where i had the chip lead

overall month so far i put in semi decent volume but results are mixed.

Update! by DustySwedeDude, October 12

So I guess I can say that I'm fairy happy but a bit frustrated now. Breakevenish (a little bit down) this month and UO Valencia was annoying (busted an hour or two before the money). Down last month and didn't play much. Have some new plans, and kind of had a talk with the gf about a bunch of stuff and right now stuff feels much better and a lot less restricting.

Going to get back on the grind now, and try to concentrate on stuff instead of just floating around.

Day 33 by player999, October 12

Brutal last few days. Made $700 back today so getting back on track. Made a shitload of VPPs too. On saturday I played 304 HUsngs, probably the most anyone has ever played in one day (maybe not, but I would guess it was), making almost 6k VPPs. 56k VPPs so far.

I cannot go through the HHs, its just a new dimension on being bad at poker. Some Most of these guys are just trying to chip dump.

NL10 Redline Help by Sanity, October 11

Hey so this is my first real blog post I guess, been lurking too long . I started grinding and beat NL2 and NL5 really easily, so now I'm working my way up playing NL10. Have only been playing NL10 a few days, loving the rakeback and running pretty decently. Started out running bad with some tilt, but now have recovered and this is what I have so far @ 3.72bb/100
http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/5808/graphu.gif
and then I looked at my showdown winnings and yikes :x
http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/7935/graphshowdown.gif

I know it can be standard at micros, but should it still look like this @ NL10? Below are some stats if they help at all, I would appreciate any and all advice. I have been 16tabling and I know dropping tables will improve my game, but im gonna keep playing like a nit and getting money till the games get harder. Thx for your help!

Trial and error by bro, October 11

I have probably underestimated the swings in super turbo sit and go's, a lot. After 105 games €10+€1, I'm stuck €275.

Being knocked out 5th and 6th more and the other positions speak for itself, I was running pretty damn bad. However, what I was finding the most different from the €5.5's I'm used to is that more people survive to the later stages, especially the nasty 250/500 level. Playing on those blinds with a starting stack of 1,500 and four people still in it will sure give you a lot of swings.

I believe there's not much you can do to affect these swings, just be aware of that they will be there and make sure you can afford them.

What I will do is go back down to €5.5 again until the rake race start and make sure I put in a lot of volume meanwhile to make sure I can afford playing at the €11 stake.

I've been working more on my approach/strategy for these sit and go's the last few days and there's some things I'd like to point out, but which I still have to test a little bit more. I'm hoping that I can give a long in-depth analyze of this gametype later this week.

11/10 in total:
55 €5.5's +€67.50
105 €11's -€275

Current bankroll: €263

Bye old PC by LemOn[5thF], October 11

Thats right, I am giving up on my 1.6Ghz Sempron with 512 MB ram. Half of jacks and usb ports aren't working, I don't have the side casing and it just made me loose too much money recently with my growing database.
Shipping $700 1TB Hdd AMD Quad Core beast (with just 3Gb ram , but upgradeable up to 8), with W7+XP dual load and ATI HD graphics or something. Should be +ev investment.
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/414tXzMPQFL._SL500_AA300_.jpg

Pokerwise I have no Idea how I am doing, I didn't check my cashier in a week despite playing a ton. I watched some 10 vids and read 8 articles across Bluefire, DC and poker strategy past few days and I have started marking awkward/interesting hands and doing session reviews.
U just realized that I have done shit work past 15 months and a lot of work is needed on my health, time management, but also a fuck ton of work is needed on my poker game if I want to make it as a pro.

From now on I am only posting hands from my session reviews, and most of them have a question or a specific concept attached along with stats from 'export w/stats' HEM feature- I would be really grateful if some of you could skim through hands I posted within last week and fire with comments and critique. I come back to them and will read any additional comments that you post to all old hands, you can also just post links to my blog so that more people can discuss.

Also pm me if you think some hands I send are worth a separate thread in low stakes.

EDIT:And don't be afraid to be harsh, I don't mind being called a retard if you give me an explanation why I am being a retard and what should I improve (I am very stubborn/egotistic in nature, don't be put off by that. There was a really interesting article on Poker strategy and I have identified that I have a very strong LAG personality )

€11's and rake race ikuzo~ by bro, October 11

I ended up having a busy weekend where I was trying to play at nights but didn't get much action so not many games were played.

9/10 - 38 games +€1
10/10 - 71 games +€69.50
11/11 - 49 games +€80.50

I'm reporting today's result early because I have decided to move up to the €11 level. There's a rake race starting on NoiQ this Saturday (16th) going on for 15 days (31th), in which I believe I can rake in a decent prize if I just put in a serious amount of volume.

Besides the rake race there's also the Entraction Sit & Go leaderboard which has already started for the medium stakes level (€10-€30). Because of that I should start playing €11's today already to try catch up with the other players.

My goal is to keep playing about 100 games per day until Saturday when the race starts, in which I'm aiming at playing 3000 games in 15 days. By doing this I hope to make at least €2,500 in total from all promotions they are running during these 15 days. If I'm doing well I should also be able to make at least €1,000 profit from the games I'm playing.

Pretty sweet for grinding low stakes sit and go's. Let's just hope I have enough time and motivation to keep up this volume.

The bankroll is currently at €540.

Starting out, is it just me? by SONE, October 11

Hey all, I recently just started to get my feet wet in poker after hearing about it, come from TL. I've read pretty much all the beginner things, I have the basic grasp and I follow the articles posted here for micro tables pretty much by law to make sure I'm not doing something wrong. Even though these are just micro tables, I find myself not profiting at all. I've put in 40$ collectively(it's not much but I don't want to lose even more, this was in intervals of 10$ deposits), and I'm currently on my last 4$. I'll win, but at the end of it all I didnt win enough, and I am down money. I realize like many competitive games, you have to take losses on the chin. However, my chin is starting to hurt and I realize I'm probably horrible, but is it just me? Do other people have anything they they found out which was extremely obvious that improved their game when they started out?

Other than, you're awful and quit, is there anything I can do or am I just destined to, quit?

Thanks LP
