Calling all Canadians~! by YoMeR, April 16

Hey so after some long talks with friends/family etc I find that my best option atm is to move to Canada. The future of online poker in the US is very uncertain and looks very bleak for years to come.

I'm seriously considering moving to Canada with my long time friend that goes by 4TM on LP. Anyone that knows anything about the Vancouver area and can give me info around there I'll greatly appreciate~ Thinking about finding a place near UBC I hear it's pretty bumping in that area.

Also: anyone giving me info about opening up bank accounts in Canada while not being a citizen there would also be greatly appreciated!

eWallets? by Gnarly, April 16

Have you guys used Click2Pay, or UseMyWallet? I did a google search with both and both times scam came up as a suggested search... Though, if they did scam, how could they be in business still?

going to EPT Madrid (if the FBI doesn't seize it)

then likely going off the grid for a long time barring unlikely good news.

it was a good run everyone, gl in your future endeavours. i wouldn't expect to hear much from me unless I win EPT Madrid and they try and pay me on stars, or um, the FBI changes it's mind.

Run good @ life? by NewbSaibot, April 15

Since all I do is get sucked out on in poker, maybe I can have a little rungood at life this week. After being threatened at work I've been looking for another job, and have my final interview with a company next week paying A LOT more than I make right now. If I get it, I'd be making more money then I could probably ever make at poker so I could finally quit this faggoty fucking game and just enjoy life, having all my finances back on track again with money to spare.

Simple EV math by Night2o1, April 14

Looking at some EV math for spots where you overbet the pot. For some reason I find it much more difficult to internalize than spots where you aren't overbetting the pot.

I usually just bruteforce these by solving
1-FE((s + p)(e) - s(1-e)) + FE(p) = $EV

HU pot
Fold equity =FE
Effective remaining stacks =s
Our equity in the pot =e
Pot size =p

What is our required fold equity on an all-in to reach a break-even EV?

Then I just do that until I find a fold equity that gives me EV =~ 0

I don't seem to be getting the right answer lol
Thoughts? Better ways?

withdrawal *poof plus some reviews by whamm!, April 14

Tried withdrawing my roll from stars and they put account on hold to get requirements, I dont have utility bills atm so I dont have access to my funds which sucks coz now its in the internet cloud server somehow. Anyway I dont care since I might be saving money since recently after a decent run stars has turned some switch on again and Im expecting every session to be tilty as hell so might as well go away from there. heres some movies i watched, just 2 coz most out there were really bad

update:
told them to cancel withdrawal and they instaship funds back to account. i guess they want me to keep me playing. yes master lol

the eagle - eh, just barely ok to watch if you have like the whole day to waste.
* eagle brand of the 9th roman legion disappears along with 5k men
* son of the commander wants to redeem lost honor of family by looking for it
* befriends a slave after getting discharged (wounded in battle) some bromance(czechs will approve lol)

the rite - solid horror movie, about exorcism, lost faith blah blah. highly recommended

* anthony hopkins is stellar as usual
* possessed pregnant 16 year old was disturbingly hot
* nice ending, wont leave you upset that you just wasted time getting a ? ending
* based on a true story so its a plus in my book
* lead actor was the only guy who didnt fit in this movie and honestly his acting was a bit lol

zeitgeist - addendum and final
* conspiracy nuts will love this, although im sure everyone here has heard or watched this already
* i dunno these guys have me convinced, but im sure doing nothing helps with that

Poker wise this year has been onpace interms of monetary goals but i'm way way behind pace in terms of VPPs at around 214k vpps.

The main reason for not playing enough is I've started getting into trading. I've recently moved a chunk of money onto the Shanghai index. Does anyone trade that market and want to share some insight and ideas??

Third and final thing, looking to goto vegas in June to play some wsop events, looking for a roomy.
