Down the hill, up the hill by Joe, February 14

You guys know the song? Just a random song whichs name came to my mind when deciding how to call todays session. Really sick today. After a good but short beginning, I basically kept going down all the time losing every single hand until it stopped at -$1400 (which was almost -$1900 from where I was after the good start of the session).
So sick, never lost that much before in such a short time. Weird thing though, I didnt really care. I tried to think how bad it is, but nothing, no emotions. I was deciding whether or not to stop playing, but I was in some tourneys, so I decided to continue in the cash games too, because I didnt think that I was playing really bad (a few big mistakes yes, but overall play seemed to be ok).

So, I kept playing and although there was no sudden change or anything, after some short time I found out that i made like $400 back, so only a thousand down or so atm.
Then, I managed to win a very big pot with a marginal hand. I trusted my gut and since I was in a state of mind in which I almost didnt care about the money and results, I had no problems calling his bluff although it was for a lot of money.
After that I think I started playing really solid poker and with some good hands and some total idiots at my tables I simply managed to make it all back and ended it up at +$196.

So, today it went like 0 -> +500 -> -1400 -> +200. Sick. Here is the graph:

http://joeik.sc45.info/img/joe/sicksession1.jpg

Overall I am basically stuck in the past few days. I made maybe $300 or $400 in the last week, which really isnt what I expected to make. Hopefully I will stop doing that many big mistakes and start doing better again. Also, my overall NL200 winrate dropped below 4ptbb/100, which isnt a big deal, but I wanted to keep it somewhere near 5ptbb/100. Basically, I need to start running good to catch up that tourney luckbox SakiSaki who already started NL400.

Shipping it at NL100 by seweri, February 14

Ok so I'm back to NL100 with a better mind set and a better site when it comes to players and it's been gooood! The games are a tad bit more aggressive with a few players reraising it with more than just QQ+ and AK, however I have made a few good bluffs against AK or something similar with low PPs on a raggy flop when I've felt the opponent doesn't have a big PP. This has backfired a few times but I think I'm still ahead with this play and I will try to continue abusing these hands when I feel like they have nothing but ace high.

Also Muhweli has come to my tables on both the sessions I have played and I've stacked him during both of these. In the second session I flipped him for stacks with T9s v AA after hitting a pair and a fd on the flop. I couldn't hear the end of the ranting He can't whine though cause the hand was 47-53 and I always have +5% ME against him (Muhweli Equity).

I guess I could post some interesting hands but I don't care to go looking for them in my db now cause it's 3AM here :D Here's one that I already posted, maybe in my next post I'll try to look for hands that are more marginal, this is just funny, about the best situation I can put my money in vs 2 guys, the other drawing dead and the other has 4 outs
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/146001

Ooookay, and here's the graph on my glorious return to NL100
http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/7061/returntonl100wp1.jpg

Obv I'm not expecting to keep the winrate that high but I'm quite sure I can keep it at 5 PTBB/100 if I don't go on a monkey tilt again... I'll be whining here if I do so but for now poker is gooood. I've been really lazy with school lately though, I'll try to improve that in the near future.

Ok, that's it for now. Cheers!

HU is ez by goodguysm, February 14

I was kind of bored of poker today,
and I didn't want to play any starcraft, since it would consume an hour or two of my hw time.
So I decided to play one of the $5 4-man Heads Up SNG.

I've had very little success in SNG's in the past.
I won this one, got $20.
*yay*

I decided to play a 2-man HU sng, for $5.
I won that one too.

I played in another 4-man HU SNG, and ended up winning that.

$35 in profit.

I haven't been doing too well in 10nl FR lately, so this was definitely pleasing.

More full ring fun.... by jonyy6788, February 14

Played full ring again today....played like crap my first session and still managed to have a good day. I also played more LAG than I had hoped. I think 14/12 like yesterday will be better than my 17/15 from today. I've had days where I don't even get 17/15 at 6max!

BR: ~1,210

I put in another little session before bed.......

400nl baby! by SakiSaki, February 14

Today I played my first session of serious 8-tabling 400nl ever. Played two rollercoaster sessions of around 2k hands each. The games are a bit tougher than 200nl but man, theres so much dead money in these games. The regulars are a bit more agressive but I see players making fundamental misstakes all the time.
The play is generally a bit tighter than 200nl so Im probibly going to loosen up a bit once I get more used to the game dynamics. So far Im playing pretty nitty though.

I just wanna share a pretty bad ass hand I played at the end of my session. Biggest pot I have ever won
(Btw, ignore my retarded raise preflop, still not used to the betting amounts and I wasnt thinking straight T_T)

Poker on and off by TheTrees, February 14

I have two books to read so i've only been able to put in 2-3 hours total the past two days. That being said, i'm up about 120. I'm still waiting for rakeback to kick in, I have no idea when I should get it, though. If anyone knows a good deal about UB's rakeback, let me know please.

Hello everyone by Emi, February 14

Hello guys, i have been lurking a lot on this website during these last month at work

I used to play a lot of BW / War3 (under the nickname Emi.CsT) and i started poker like 6/7 month ago because of the free party poker offer

I have never really put "hardcore time" into poker though, but i intends to do it now, as i wanna see if it can be a lucrative activity.

Anyway, right now i am playing 2 / 3 tables at NL $10 on World Poker exchange.

The good thing about this website is that you get FULL rakeback and i juste love that, but the interface sucks and you cant multitables a lot because there is not enought player.

I think i am starting to dominate really well the NL 10 tables, at least when i am not tilty or in a bluff frenzy like i want to raise every single pot at every single street with air and dont believe my opponent...

Also one big point i need to work on is folding, i have real trouble folding anything like medium pair or more

I guess that is why i am in NL 10

Ok so far Bankroll = 285$
I ll try to move on in NL 25 when i reach 500 + 125

Roller coaster of a day. by RAHZero, February 14

Yesterday was pretty crazy. Started down 2 buy-ins with a standard flop push with AK on an A-high flop that ended badly, and set < straight. Build back up to $0, then go back down, then get back to even was pretty much the story of my day.

Day 3 totals:
-$9.50 in 1,354 hands of NL $50.
Current BR: $2,744

Overall totals:
+$215.95 in 2,625 hands of NL $50

Feb 14th, Me vs Tilt by Svenman87, February 14

Eh so today started off really shitty @ NL 50 and 2 tables of NL 100

I got raped pretty bad D: and a few setups left me steaming

So I smartly jumped up to NL 200 and donked off 100 more before got a hold of myself.

I took a break and came back to 12 table NL 50 6-max and FR.

Here are the results

My luck continues... I've yet to have a losing day in Feb.

Moving On Up!...soon by tae-g, February 14

Im progressing pretty steadily at 10NL ending up +3BI/session on average. Im about to put $200 onto FullTilt for rakeback, free pokertracker, and the deposit bonus. Hopefully I should clear all that fairly quickly.

After I clear on Full Tilt I'm going to move the majority of the money from there onto stars and move to 25NL with about $800 or so. Ill probably play 25NL until about $1,300 or $1,400. I feel like I can safely move to 50NL from there.

I was scouting the FullTilt 10NL and 25NL tables today just to see what the games there were like in comparison to stars, and I saw this funny little hand

lol donkaments(2) by SakiSaki, February 14

Yesterday I was sitting in the vent channel doing nothing after a hard day of pokergrinding, and felt the sudden urge to drink some beer. I bought myself beer and being as diciplined as I am I decided to stay off the cashgames and play some tours instead.

The only tour that was available during that time was a 11$ speed rebuy on partypoker. I like playing rebuys but I wasnt sure if speed rebuys where any good. Turns out, speed tournaments fucking suck. Its the biggest crapshoot ever. After first break average stack is like 4 big blinds. Me, having rebought like 15 times, was in pretty good shape after the break though.

Somehow I ran into some trouble, and I found myself sitting with less that 2 bigblinds at one point. Being the baller I am, I picked up AK and trippled up.

Everything went really fast and eventually I was CL at the final table after pulling of some sick suckouts and busting the guy second in chips with AK vs AQ. Winning after that was ez since I only got premium hands like AK, AQ QQ and everybody else had like 4 BBs.

$2500 to me. Ship it.

Now my roll is a bit over 15k so Im definitely going to start taking some serious shots at 400nl

Today's sessions by jonyy6788, February 13

Well I played for 50 mins. on Full Tilt to finish clearing a $20 chunk of bonus....got screwed as usual.

AA < JJ AI PF for $20
set < set for $50
JJ < QQ AI PF against shorty

I had class and then worked on a group project for about 3 hrs....that was fun

I fired up NL50 6max and wasn't feeling it, lost $13, so I decided to try out some NL25 9max at the suggestion of Highcard. I didn't think I should jump right into NL50 9max as it has been a long time since I've seriously played FR.

http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/535/fullringyp2.jpg

Total $$$ Today: $59.5
Current BR: ~$1160
