Good times by kantoiki, April 07

So yeah past three days getting drunk everynight with friends, awesome haha.
One of the nights on the way home i picked up two biggish rocks and gave one to my friend and we were gnna "smash a shop and steal laptops" which by the way seemed like a top-notch idea at the time hahaha.
Yes that could have had bad consequences had we actually done it but thank god we're so scattered when we're drunk.

Another thing that happened was we got back to my place and my mate asks me "oh shit wheres my wallet?" to which i reply i have no idea.
I check my pockets while he checks his and his bag, upon not finding anything he walks back from my place back to Hungry Jacks at MC (20 minutes) finds nothing and walks back.
As he comes back i check my pocket and find oh...TWO wallets hey! Call him and ASK "Hey i THINK i have your wallet"... and i even have to pull out his license to read out his address to double check heh .
So i'm waiting for him outside 7-11 which is near my place, and i lie down on a bench. Bum walks past and is like "hey man you okay"? "need like 5 bucks to get something to eat", both of which i refuse and thank him for offering and go back to sleep This at the time didnt' really hit me as being anything unusual till afterwards when my friend got there and called me a dick and i told him the story.
Wow....a bum saw me. Thought i needed help. Offered me 5 bucks for some food. And didnt steal my friends wallet which was just lying openly in my hand as i lay there.
I hope that bum enters a lottery and wins enough money to get his life back together.

Anyway for some reason beer tastes great now and really hits the spot which can only be bad news for my already declining fitness which karma can vouch for is terrible.
Like an example, luke and i were playing basketball at the local courts nearby and some random french guys challenged us to so bball.
So we played 2 v 2 and we won by 2 or so points, cant really remember...annnnyyway i was heaving and had chest pains by the time we had scoed 5 points.

By 8 points i was wheezing and wanted out.

Luckily a car had to drive through and gave me time to take a breather and not have a heart attack.
We finished the game and i was in pain for the next 20 minutes. Seriously feeling like i wanted to vomit and what not.

Geez i need to get out and run or something.
http://www.bobbyworks.com/images/fat%20man%20at%20computer.jpg

I feel like i'm the above guy trapped in my skinny asian body.

Anyway poker has been okay i tilt stake jumped one night for about 2 hours and made a bit of money woot heh but otherwise i haven't really played. Don't worry guys not going to do it again, i feel like a downsyndrome child as it is.

A close friend of mine was telling me about her night tonight and what she said had me in stiches.
Will post if i get her permission.

Hrmm what else what else, i'm getting a bit sick of people posting these setups where they flop mid set going broke to flopped straights and oversets. Honestly its getting a bit much, maybe it's because I've lost the patience i used to have...that could be it.
I think from now on my advice to that kind of crap is just going to be:
Fold 80 percent of the time, Call 15 percent of the time and Kill yourself 5 percent of the time.

And for my non poker friends who I've just bored with the last few paragraphs:
http://img73.imageshack.us/img73/3165/theseeyessg4.jpg

Pretty cool for those who havent seen it.

Also:
Dr Phil disgusted with Bumfights

This smells so badly of a setup by Dr Phil. I mean does honestly he invites the creator of Bumfights to his show...what did he expect? And i doubt he hadn't already watched the video.
He was about to get showed up pretty badly, the other guy dressed up to look like Phil with bald head which i thought was hilarious.
While i don't think the other guy is any better i think Dr Phil is just as bad, exploiting a different market.

Just my two cents, sorry for long long blog. Even more sorry if you read it all and it insulted your intelligence.

New experiments and results by Sheitan, April 07

I've been thinking a lot recently and analyzed my game, i came to the conclusion i was playing to LOSE money. I made some major changes and adapted.

So, i tried something different today and it worked. This is the first winning session for a loooooong time and it feels good to be a winner again.

Poker is such a tough game, poker is just like real life and that's why maybe so many people play it: you have to take the right decision at the right time. Each decision you take will either lead to sucess or defeat, at the end of the session (life) you will be a winner, or a loser (or break even). Poker pros impress me, im not making a living of poker, so how one could feel when he earns his life as a poker pro ? i mean this is so fucking tough, nobody's prepared to that but some have special abilities and will just succeed, like the SwedeDude said, they are gifted.

Anyway i feel like a new man today and i need to buy a new keyboard due to my recent uber tilting kung-fu sessions, wich is EV- considering i ll have to spend a hundred dollars for a new one meh, whatever i had to let it out this time.

So here's some hands i played, any feedback is greatly appreciated:

short session by SneakrFreakr, April 07

Yesterday I didn't feel well for the whole day (can't get rid of this fkin cold I got a few days ago) and just browsed some forums and watched CR videos (and an episode of Rome - good tv series btw). In the evening I felt kinda better and I felt like playing some poker. I was playing pretty well, making just 2 or 3 minor mistakes in small/medium pots. I was really focused on the game and I found that talking about everything while playing, just like CR pros do on their videos, helps me concentrate a lot so I'm going to try doing it every time I play (the only thing is that my flatmates think I'm retarted cause I'm Polish I'm talking to myself in English while playing poker). There was a lot of action on the tables so I couldn't pay attention to everything that was going on at the tables but I think I did my best. I had a nice table with 2 maniacs (stats like 70/40 each). One of them had a 200bb stack but someone else busted him The other guy was buying in for like 60bb and I staked him once or twice. I had to finish my session early as I had to pick up my friend from the bus stop. Here are my stats and some hand histories (comments appreciated as always):

http://img92.imageshack.us/img92/2500/123ty7.jpg

1. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/170395
Both villains were retarted 70/40 donks do it was obviously a value shove.

2. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/170396
Another one against this guy.

3. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/170397
Ok so villain in this hand was about 23/18 and I saw him 3betting a couple of times. We were over 200bb deep and his reraise wasn't big so I decided to call as I had some good implied odds and I knew that often, I'll be able to take this pot away from him on flop or turn. I flopped an OESD. I decided to call his bet since he very well could've had KK or QQ and if I hit I'd stack him and if he had sth else there was a good chance that he'll give up on turn and I'll be able to take the pot away from him. I made kind of a smallish bet on turn but I figured it might look stronger and was cheaper at the same time. Thoughts?

4. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/170400
Villain was a 70/40 donk that was miniraising loads of flops but I had no idea how to play it in unraised pot 200bb deep. Anyone?

5. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/170403
I like my turn check here - I've got a flush draw and if he's got a higher str8, then I don't want to get pushed out of the hand. Can I fold the river?

6. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/170406
Villain seemed kind of decent - stats were like 23/16. Likey? Or am I a pussy?

7. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/170410
I felt a bit like a pussy folding it but the pot was 3way and villain seemed tight and decent. Should I at least call the flop?

That's it for now, I'm going to watch a new CR video and then play some poker.

Last sessions by Tur0k, April 07

http://tur0k.borec.cz/badsession.jpg

I was pretty shocked. I cleared PP reload in FR and went back to 6max, which probably caused all problems. The good is I watched some videos, read some articles and thought about my game a little.

http://tur0k.borec.cz/0407.jpg

This is my morning session. After bad start I ended with 2bi on each table. I finally got my vpip over 20 which helped me a lot. I made some bad plays like always :/

First entry by Tur0k, April 07

My story
I started playing poker on PS in october 06. Playmoney 10/20 limit = skill game Got bored real fast.
I found LP.net and Joe's czech poker site and started playing on PP with LP promotion. I slowly grinded my way up to NL10 when I made almost zero profit after 10k hands. So I moved my bankroll to Titan poker, where NL10 was much easier. I made 200$ and moved up to NL20. I made another 200$ in 5k hands and I saw myself in NL50 games soon. Then I had some variance and tilt problems which really killed my confidence. I decided to switch to 6max because I got bored with my robot FR style and everyone here plays 6max. I deposited 140$ on PS and started with NL10. After some learning I made 100$ in three days and in my euforia I made a bet with my mum, that when I go to college in September, I will have 5k on my account..

My poker BR is around 1,5k. I will probably make 1k with my summer job so I have at least 2,5k to make with poker. Good luck me.

PS:My english is worse than I thought

Sharpening Up by locoo, April 07

Today

Was a good day, won about 100$ from NL10$ and then procedded to hit the NL25$ with confidence, got 150$ from there and even barely tried the NL50$ going up 1 buy-in in there as well.

So all in all 300$ just today from cash games, seems pretty good to me(I also busted from a 6$ tourney, lost to bad beat vs the other chip leader -.- I think I could've won it all, oh well...) , BR is now 800$. I'm ready for NL50$ I think, I felt pretty confident there and was just owning my table, though I gotta admit they must've been the lower end of the NL50$ players.

Week Goal

My goal is to get 1000$ for sunday and win another tourney for another 1000$, if I feel confident enough i'll get the NL100$ tables although I'm not very sure about it yet, we will see

DF_Newb's Balls of Steal by JonnyCosMo, April 06

Ok so maybe I'm not nearly as good as I think I am. Today I started off my session pretty late into the afternoon because I got caught up doing a lot of other things during the day. The tables weren't as juicy as I would have hoped, but whatever, there were still some fish in the sea. I then proceeded to play the following hand vs DF_Newb:

Seat 5: JonnyCosMo (button) showed 8h9h and lost with a pair of Sixes
Seat 6: alexandrecc (small blind) folded before Flop

ZAAAAP!!! Ok so let me take you through my thought process on this hand. I have 98 suited preflop, DF_Newb raises, I call, standard. I believe he precieves me as a tight/solid player incapable of making moves because in all honesty, I try to avoid making moves vs fellow LPer's / friends. So I flop an open-ended straight draw on a ace-high flop but there is a flush draw which I dont have also present, so he does a very standard c-bet and I dont take much time and call. This is where it gets interesting... because from my time playing with DF_Newb I know he doesn't back down when he thinks he's getting floated light so I suspected there was a good chance he'd double barrel with air a high % of the time. I dont really want to go into why I had this other read, because he probably will be reading this, but let's say I know that his range here on the turn is this: 66, 77, A7s, A6s, AQ, AK, or absolute air. I say this is air more than 60% of the time easily (at the time I was feeling that 3 out of 4 times this is air). The general idea is that I dont think he likes to put himself into a spot to bet/fold a marginal hand on this turn (such as AJ or weaker) and I suspect he check-calls this turn more than he bet/folds it.

This is where I feel I made a mistake, if I know there is a high chance he has absolute crap when he leads this turn, then I should have just raised him and pot committed myself. At the time, I know that a good portion of the deck is a scare card, because I planned on bluffing the clubs as well if they hit (assuming he checks to me, or attempts some sort of blocker bet I have fold equity to smash). To make a long story short, I decided to take the safe route and call, just to see what he does on the river. I wasn't exactly sure if he was crazy enough to triple barrel with air, but I was kinda hoping that he wasn't that suicidal and that he'd just give up at this point with a bluff.

River came a 6 pairing the bottom card. I know he thinks thats a terrible card to bluff. I hope he knows that I know that the 6 is a terrible card to bluff as well. He checks to me... which immediately tells me the following things: He doesn't have a hand he thinks he can value bet. It's possible that he could have been checking a monster, having me read on a draw that just missed in hopes I bluff the river. But that makes little sense to me since as I stated above, I believe he views me as a tight/solid player incapable of making moves AND I believe he knows that I know how bad of a card that river is to bluff at. It makes no sense that he'd check a hand to me here, and since I had him on a fairly narrow range of hands on the turn, I believe he now has air, unfortunately 9-high doesn't have showdown value vs air...

So I brainlessly forgetting to think about the following things: What could I be representing here? I'm capable of real thin value bets / value shoves, but I'm not sure he's seen any of them yet. Like, there is a fair size range of hands I will play this exact line with: AK, AQ, 6Xs w/ flush draw on the flop, or sometimes even any ace thinking I can steal a chop. Sadly, I dont really have a reason to think he knows this about me unless he's seen some of my hh's I've posted in the past month on LP (which I shouldn't really expect him to stalk me on this or anything). Thinking back on it, I think a bet of $85 would have done an excellent job on this river. The shove just looks too much like I want a fold here, and was a dead give away.

So after getting the wind knocked out of my sails from this hand, I decided to take a break. I might get on and play later tonight, but right now I just want to review my session. I was up 3 buyins at one point during my session, but only ended up $80 when I quit. My hats off to you DF_Newb, you got some balls sir. I feel totally owned right now.

Todays results by kNkiDDa, April 06

If it wasn't for the bonus i got from PP it would ve been an average day. But because of the bonus its been a good day =). Finally won some money on NL100, not because I made a great read or something but i managed to hit my first set on that Limit + Payout. French donk decided to go broke in an unraised pot with bottom two.... vive la france.
http://img366.imageshack.us/img366/1594/powx3.jpg

Completely recovered yesterdays losses which i suffered with myth. Tomorrow will be next session. Expect me to play my usual A game but still get coolers and sick beats... myth has a baaaaad curse around him hahaha!

Had two 1k hand sessions today. First one was before I went to the movies - the other after. I shipped another 500$ onto PP cuz they gave me a 20% up to 100$ bonus(After insisting cuz they dont seem to give reloads to players who are tearing up the tables as I do). First session was just a f*cking waste of time. Made 1 BI after 1,2k hands.

Then i went to the movies and watched "300". Awesome movie. It was everything I expected and hoped for--a couple of hours of carnage. The hot queen even inspired me to go home and have great sex with gf. Oracle girl was burning hot too! I just love fair readheads:
http://a256.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/..._f5a528cbc8428a0ded7f0e28cd1e3c07.jpg
Every woman in that movie who happens to be in front of the camera actually has erected nipples... Quite funny!

Overall i drank 5 beer before+in+after the cinema. Caused hell of a noise in the cinema because I got soaked up into the bloodbath >_<. Got home, ate alot then took a 30 min nap and played a session. The booz had quite an effect on me - but not negatively...showed some balls and repopped couple of donk leads. Overall played my B+ Game and made some bucks.

+400$ today. ship it.
iDDa.

Kathy Daut 8th leveled me by Daut, April 06

So I came home for the weekend cause I wanted to take care of some poker business stuff -- meeting with a lawyer to get some contracts written for my live backing deals.

Anyway, so im sitting at the kitchen table and my mom starts shaking her head at me and goes "such a waste...its so disappointing that youre not going to school anymore, such a waste of math talent"

So i look at my mom and go "If i had a 15 inch penis would it be a waste of talent if I wasnt a pornstar?"

To my surprise Kathy actually laughed. And then she looked at me and said "Yes, i guess it would be a waste"

OMFG pwned

Emailed stars (again) by DragonzPlay, April 06

So I ended up sending another email to stars. This one is not so gay as the last one. Which by the way I got my image approved within 24 hours.

Hi,
I was curious about a few things. First off, thank you. I did receive the PayTru card I requested. I am pondering using it however. In an email upon requesting the card, my thoughts/opinions were asked to be express by pokerstars. My first thoughts on it are there is a fee for everything.

Initial setting the card up has a fee.
Want to load money onto it? There's a percentage fee.
Want to withdraw money on it? There's a fee.
Don't know exactly how much you have because of all our fees? Do a balance inquiry and find out, but don't forget to subtract your fee.
Don't forget the monthly service charge to.
Want to talk to someone at PayTru about it? Sure! But there's a fee.
You name it, they charge you.
So I am real hesitant to use this option. But who knows, I still might use this.

Second, I heard through the grapevine it is possible to have your checks fed exed to you instead of just standard mail. I was wondering how much this would cost and how much does it speed the process up.

Third is why is it exactly that funds can be taken out of my debit card, but not put back in? Other business have been able to do this when I get a refund, or have had to put money back into my account/debit card for whatever reason. I have heard different reasons for this, and I would rather get it from the horses mouth than the grapevine.

That about sums up my curiosity. Thank you for your time.

Moving Down ----> Would Appreciate Help by tere here, April 06

So I was at 4450 yesterday and now Im at 2500...

Standard minus 2000$ day...I lost about 5 buyins to shitty tilt...The other 1000$ I lost because I just cant seem to beat NL200.

I hit a point where I was hovering around 3500$ and this was before I went crazy and tilted everythign away...

As I was losing I posted every bit pot that I won or lost...

here it is...
it feels like my entire session was filled with 'coolers' before I tilted everything away...
I'm going to count all the Dollars I lost on couldnt fold situations....

1TT vs flopped 88 set vs shortstack I think this is standard agaisnt short stack but on second thought maybe I should start folding these....(45$ after flop bet)

2Standard couldnt fold situation... This is situation # 1 and it cost me 40$ (only countin river bet cause I think cbet is okay)

3Bluff gone right... this is probably a spew but it felt like the guy was weak this time and it looked to me like I was chasing a flush draw

4couldnt lay down 88 to over pair on low flop Situation #2. -150$

5 standard BB flops 2 pair vs some guy with overpair only to see turn and river pair board Cooler #1

6 99 vs shortack but EASILY shoulda folded... Situation #3 -81$

7 Flopped straight played bad luckily didnt lose any money *didnt even see flush on river..

8KK vs TT finally winnin back some money...

9 AK vs QQ all in preflop vs shorty Standard cooler??? cooler situation #2???

10 Ak on KQx flop all in vs short stack who has KJ this was 3 almost 4 bet...i wonder if it was okay to call this in long run vs short stacks

11 AJ vs short stack on T23 flop, he calls my c bet and turn brings jack so i push him all in

12 I dont know why I called this on flop ...Would like feedback on this one I cant really say what I was thinking here...A lot of the times I will call 1 bet to see if the guy has AK or will slow down...I wonder if this is a good idea...FEEDback pls

13 flopped 2 pair vs a chaser he hits straight on river and I cant fold....though he made it relatively cheap... CAnt get away situation # 4 Minus 40$

14 TT vs AA He 3bets pre and I still call his flop all in...sigh........Cant get away situation #5 -230$

15 BB flush draw and pair....flush hits on river...somebody has higher flush Cooler situation #3

15 AcJc on 7c5c4 flop, somebody has top set, somebody else puts in alot of action, I am yet to act, and I still push flush draw... <-feedback please, Cant get away situation #6 -200

15 KK vs lower pair and I scare him away on turn <--Feedback please, should I check turn?

16 TT vs a guy with straight Cant get away situation # 7 -125$

17 BB Two pair situation

18 Raised preflop, get called on cbet, now holding 2nd nuts Unfortunately I bet him out on turn...Similiar to situation 15 where my KK bets out the guy on turn...Should I check in these situations?? Will I gain more value by checking turn?

19 22 hits set on turn after somebody calls my cbet Instead of bettin turn I try checking it...(unlike situations 18 and 15)...Instead he checks it...I lose all value as flush comes and he puts me on flush

20 AK vs who knows what Cant get away situation #8 -136

21 KK on AK8 flop... FEEDBACK PLEASE... On this hand I didnt want to 4 bet cause i thought that would scare away action...when he checked flop I thought he had QQ then when he pushed river I thought he wud never put me on jacks and I called...instead he had a straight...How would you guys play this differently, what do you guys put him on?

Cudnt get away situation #9 though I didnt even think I had to get away from this sitaution... -$204

22 KK vs AQ on AKQ flop... It seems the only way I make money is when coolers happen except in my favour...

23 A6 on A7h5hJ5 board...he made turn cheap so i called...river seems like suspicious overbet...fold is clearly okay right?

24 Flop 2 pair chaser hits flush Standard cooler #4

25 Ak vs QQ all in preflop lose another race Standard cooler # 5

26 Flop nut overcard flush draw... finally get someone to pay me off...

27 AQ vs full stack who mini raises on turn...Who folds turn?

28 TT flopped set vs probably higher overcards... similiar to situation 18 and 15...I scare player away with bet on turn

29 TT on 892 flop and short stack pushes standard

30 88 vs short stack on 643 flop...I'm wondering if I should fold this in future??? he had 77 and turned a 5...I dont know if this is a "cant get away situation or cooler" I think it leans towards cant get away...

31 flopp full house nothing special

32 flop top set vs over pair nothing special...

33 flop 2 pair vs AQ who cant lay down one of the few hands that doesnt feel like a set up...

34 Top set vs AK who short stack who has nothing but chases anyways nothing special just a bigger donk than myself

35 AQ on Q56 flop facing raise...and strong turn bet Folded this...

36AQ on AK9T board Couldnt get away here but I got respect and the guy folded....Because he laid down I can suspect he didnt have AT AK ...I must have been ahead, but I dont know the best way to have play this so I appreciate feedback..

37 Cant get away situation # 10...TT vs JJ shoulda folded river - 45$

38 pushing 99 vs short stack...I get lucky and hit straight on river... How would you play this differently?

39 AQ river 2 pair bet it too strong...

40AA on KTXQ <--Q on turn scares me and I check..river is 9 and he has QJ Cant get away situation 11 -45$

41 77 vs 89 on 765 flop Cooler situation - 350$

-------------------------------

That was my the first half of my session. After that I proceeded to tilt away another 1000$ which I think shouldnt be reviewed. I surprised myself cause I played so hard and tried to play so well and yet I still lost SO MUCH money and played so bad...

I'm now gonna add up the total $ I lost in cooler and 'couldnt get away situations'....

I will edit this post to enter the total

Bad beat post by DustySwedeDude, April 06

So I’m back from the university over estern and some friend of my sister who I made out with a bit last summer had a party cause she turned 18 and I was invited. Anyway, most people was younger then me and I was somewhat exotic since I’m studying in another town, actually had nice clothes and all that. Anyway, I was so halfway into the pants of some hippie when a friend of my sister came and told me that I better go take a look at my sister since she felt like crap and long story short; I ended up taking care of her instead of my little soldier the rest of the night. Whatever, I’m sure some great man once said something along the lines of; “there are some things a man wants to do because he’s a man, and there are other things a man has to do to be a man”. Blood is thicker then beer.

This is very annoying since I almost thought that my downswing was over after last weeks encounter with my ex, but whatever.

Anyway, I played short session of NL200 earlier today too and I played two decently intressting hands. I played bad in the beginning but then I got these hands and some confidence back.

I had a note on this guy that he bets weak when his weak (thanks myth or whoever posted that note system in some topic 2-3 months ago) so I knew that couldn’t have a set or 56. The bord was also crazy draw heavyish so I figured he’d bet big with anything good. When the A hit I figured that he’d fold every missed draw, of which I beat most but whatever, and probably 66-88 and maybe even a nine. I dunno if this play is good but I figured that the A might work as a nice scare card. Opinions?

I 3-bet a far bit pf so I figured he couldn’t have a higher pair so I put him on 45, a flushdraw, a set or an eight. I don’t know if I played it good or if I should check/call or whatever. Opinions?

I ended up about half a buyin so I’m actually in the green for NL200 which is nice, and since I’ve played a lot of NL100 I’m up just over 1.8k during the first week this month over about 10k hands. I’m so in love with poker.

50nl is hard by Syntax, April 06

about a month ago,my br was at like 450 because of cashouts and shit and now i grinded my br to around 2000 and everytime i take a shot at 50nl, i alway seem to get reraised and shoved around ;/ i feel like a tight little weakass. today i tried to force myself to only play 50nl and ended down 200$, hmm, so i had to back to 25nl and 12 table again. (i hate multi tableing but im confident in my skill with 25nl) maybe less tables on 50nl would be better, like no more then 6 maybe

i've been beating 25nl for the past 22k hands for around 6-7ish/100bb so i don't know, my roll is at like almost at 1900 or something, i really really really want to play 50nl, but seem to keep playing 25nl because i'm a bitch. i know that my skill will slowly progress with experience, but i'm just wandering if there's something speicific that i might be doing wrong... ;/ i don't know, its kind of discouraging to play 25nl right now when i know i can play 50nl

god, my head hurts, played like 6k hands today so far...first blog entry, mine are pretty boring, but i just use these to talk to myself basically hehe

New Classes at Uni by tae-g, April 06

I just registered for my next classes for school. I found it funny that several(my probability, statistics, and psychology classes) could/will have applications to poker.

I've been testing the water at 25NL FR. So far it seems extremely beatable, but I didn't have an amazing day due to hitting my set of 5's on a ace high flop only to run into AA for quite a large pot.

Cheers

Can't touch this by Sheitan, April 06

If i had to sum it up: http://www.filecabi.net/video/1175751572.html
The skinny guy = me.
The big guy = poker.

Got AA 4 times, two were cracked by 44 and AJo allin, got KK went all in pf vs AA on a FR cash game. I would say im starting to get used to that, managed to go +1 BI playing my best then get overwhelmed by massive suckouts/coolers and finish -3,5 BIs.

I tilted a bit since it's almost a month now i can't fucking touch this. I really wonder wtf is going on ? maybe it will never end, maybe i just entered the 4th dimension where i would get owned over and over again. I heard bad beats can last long but it's hard to get one that long when you just start poker, if this destroy my BR then it's a good thing because i'll never put 1 more cent in this, in fact i'll cash out the rest once i go back to where i started so i won't lose money. I'll play freerolls then (roflskates).

But i do love poker even if poker doesn't like me, whatever. I'll keep trying and play better, read books and improve my game, one needs to kill me to make me stop trying, so no matter how hard the poker gods try to punish me, i'll still be standing on my feet.

OOoookay let's stop crying, i'll be playing mainly SnGs since im running so bad at cash games right now. Just finished two where i got owned by J2s vs my AJ, lost the other one cuz i got no decent hand till the blinds got me heh. -1 BI.

The worst part is i have to go back to work in 2 days and that, gentlemen, is the worst bad beat of the week.

P.S: i'll stop making entries like that from now, i sound like a lil crybaby.

Tought call by Emi, April 06

Read : Villain is mega agressive and mega tilting

ship the money

http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=170030
Funny hand of the session

Villain then proceed to win after winning a total of 4 coin flip.

It was i grind a 3/4 to 1/4 advantage, he win he coinflip (with a total donk hand like J3o) rince and repeat 4 times.

---------------------

Ok i just played this hand. First hand against the guy, no history

Since he called my flop bet i putted him with either a 6 or a 7, that is why i just make a "light value bet" at the turn, because i want to get called by a lower pair.

I must admit i am less scared by draws in head ups, since you cant really put that often your opponents on a suited or on connected cards.

Then the river card came and the board was paired. He instantly betted pot in front of me.

That feelt weird. I was thinking, "why is he doing this if he has a 6 ?". Of couse i know it is the move you are supposed to do with the best hand, but it felted so much as a bluff, after all, i have been 2 barreling and he could just have waited for the 3 rd to check raise me.

And then i started re-thinking his previous holding. Maybe he was floating me or on a draw. After all the board was drawish, he might be bluffing since this is the perfect scare card.

So i made the call...

poker story by Yugless, April 06

ive read some of the blogs and found them to be pretty interesting and thought it might be fun to write one so i thought i would start a serious blog. this is the story of my pokering so far.

i started out playing sngs, first $5 then $10. after a while i started making more money at sngs than i did at my job so i did what any rational, level headed person would do and quit my job. i proceeded to run horribly at sngs the week after quitting my job and decided to start playing cash games, which i had little experience with.

i started out at nl100 and had immediate success using the weak/tight style thats works so brilliantly at low level sngs because the players always pay off your big hands. i had a friend who also made the switch to cash after playing sngs and she told me about a player at nl25 who played 12 tables and just destroyed every table. i kinda laughed and thought, how good can this guy be if he plays nl25? i was confident he would get crushed playing with the big dogs like me at nl100 .

so one day i sat with my friend and played nl25 just for fun, and the player she told me about was there. that was the first time i played with straate, and he ran over me and the rest of the table. i spent hours watching him play after that, it was honestly nothing short of beautiful. it wasnt just blind, stupid aggression but being aggressive in just the right spots, folding when he had to, just making good aggressive decisions. i was fortunate enough to get his AIM and i watched as he moved up to nl200 and crushed it,like a man playing with boys. i was fascinated, and i tried to implement elements of his game in to mine. it blew up in my face. i started losing, so i went back to my weak tight game.

straate had introduced me to liquid poker, where i met the beloved ket . i got his AIM playing the wolf game i think, and once i got it i bombarded him with hh's and poker questions. he gave me the best poker advice i have gotten so far. he asked why i hadnt moved up to nl200 and i didnt really have an answer. i was making a decent living playing nl100 and never really considered moving up. he said once you have the bankroll to move up, move up. youre wasting money staying at lower limits when you can afford to move up, assuming you can beat the higher level. so i moved up.

poker was going good, playing a mix of nl200 and nl100, and i decided to get cardrunners. watching green plastic play a LAG style reminded me of straate, and i became interested in playing that style again. i starting watching straate play again, and i watch most of green plastic's videos. it sent me in to a tailspin. i just didnt get it. why isnt this working for me? i had a whole month where i was virtually breakeven, coupled with some major expenses in my life i had to deal with it was pretty disastrous and had me on the verge of busto. then my friend gave me some good advice. she told me, youre not straate. youre yug, and yug is a good, solid, winning player. just what i needed to hear and i started winning again.

i toned down the blind aggression that was getting me in trouble, but i was still feeling lost in certain situations. around the beginning of 2007 something clicked for me. i stopped feeling lost. it always seemed like there was a correct decision based on various factors. i was doing really well, making good aggressive decisions, outplaying a lot of the regulars. for the first time i started actually building an online bankroll instead of cashing out all of my winnings. around the beginning of march i moved up to 2/4 and have continued having success, even taking a few stabs at 5/10. my eventual goal is to be a regular winner at 10/20. i dont feel like the games are consistently profitable any higher than that unless you are one of the very best players.

thats the story so far, hope you enjoyed.
ps. today is my birthday so dont take any of my money plz
