Went to a free music show being held at an art festival last night by Lotus (http://lotusvibes.com/), man was this show ever sick. During the middle of the show, a good friend fed me some hallucinogens. Before I knew it I was trippin my balls off at center stage surounded by tons of hotties, this was definately a site for sore eyes (first show in months).
So this lasted til night time, came back here with a couple girls I used to be good friends w/ in college and continued to get wasted all night. After dishing out some serious massages the night became, well, fun. =)
When I can figure out how to post pics on here I'll get some uploaded.
They took off in the wee hrs of the morning, couldn't get back to sleep so I started surfing the WSOP page.
Stumbled across something some of you might find quite interesting, here it is; look at 24th place (my unlucky number), 3/7/07.
Picked up 99 in the BB, MP opened for 35k at 5k/10k with QKos, (his stack was 135,000, and he didn't really look too confident in his hand), I reshoved for 110,000 in the BB, only to get called by his QK within a minute. I don't really see how he could have thought his QK was good, but w/e, donkaments..lol (this was my first shot to win some real monies w/ poker (More than 10k in one day that is, but wasn't meant to be..)
Goin to a nice little 1/2 at a firehall here in Pittsburgh tonight from 7 til the morning, wish me luck! Pretty fishy game, couple luckboxes n a couple real players, other than that its your typical 1/2 Live game.
Wow, I just cant believe how unlucky I'm getting today. Everything goes the wrong way
Started my session at Titan with $600 in my BR. And everything seemed ok. But then got involved into really nasty hands.
In one of them I had A6s (in Mid pos) vs KK (BB).
I limp in with 20c with my stack of $37. He raised 60c to 80c with a stack of $21. I called. Headsup.
Pot: $1.80. Flop comes 6-6-T in a rainbow. He betted $1.20. I called.
Turn: was a meaningless 7. He bet $4 in the $4.20 pot. I knew that it was the moment to push since I put him on big PP (and I was right) and raised $16 to $20 to put him all-in. He called.
River: K... Fullhouse in the river OMG! -$21
In the other hand I had AKo vs QJo. Raised to 80c in the button and BB called.
-Flop: Q-J-T with 2 clubs. He checked. I bet $1.40. He called.
-Turn was a blank. My straight was still the nuts. He checked again. I bet $3.60 in the $4.60 pot. He called.
-River was a J of clubs... What do I beat now? Nothing... The board is paired and If he was on a flush draw he got it... He checked his fullhouse and I checked it too.
This wasn't a bad result for me considering I didn't have to call the river but still, my luck isn't good today
In another hand, I had AA with $25 in the table in the CO. Button holded 99 with $24. 2players limped and I raised to $1.20. Button reraised me to $4.80. I obviously pushed all-in and he called.
Flop: 9-8-8
Turn: Q
River: K
$24 allin preflop with 99... omg T_T -$24
-While Pokerstars loves to set up big pocket pairs (AAvsKK, KKvsQQ), Titan does the same with flushes. I lost $6 in a hand where I completed my flush on the river and raised 1 guy from $1 to $5. Then player next to me pushed allin with $25... I knew I was beated so I folded... Could escape from there but still was a lose.
-I once got involved in a hand where me, and 2 other players made a flush. Lucky me I had the Ace high flush, other player had a King high flush and the unluckiest one holded a Ten high flush. Won like a $60 pot there. Was like 2days ago.
I can't complaint from having a bad day. Its actually the first one I have got ever sinced Im playing at Titan and I knew it was going to come sooner or later... but sure it sux to be in this situation
Overall my BR from $600 to -$530. -3.5buyins.
Gonna take a break now and give it a shot again later. Hope I can get my luck back by then.
EDIT: All this happened in less than an hour, not in a WHOLE day. I woke up at around 10:30am and posted this at 12pm (Mexico city's time). Now its 4:45PM here. Day is not over if I didn't make myself clear.
May results, June Goals and Coachingby Jamie217, June 07
Hey all
So I ended May down about 2500...my worst month ever.. Im not gonna lie Im getting a lil fps it aint good lol. So I think I am going to move my roll over to PP where their new rakeback looks nice and competition is shitttty. I dont have all my money over there atm so I am just playing 100nl which is fine b/c Im running at like 12 PTBB over like 4/5k hands which is nice. Im on my laptop rite now so no picturess. Once I get my whole roll over to PP I will be looking to play 200nl for a month or 2 then move on up..
Over than that life is good... my afterprom was sweeeeeeett lots of sex, alchol and partieeeinnnnn... schools almost over cept exams are in a week or 2 so that sucksss but Im def looking forward to summmmmerrr..
And I also had my first lesson with a student yesterday which I was pleased with. Vegable is a solid player and I def think I can take him from 25nlish to 100nl + .. Im looking forward to getting some more students and helping them along as well.
Anyways peace out for now
kantoiki/alan has an exam tomorrow which he desperately needs to study for.. naturally Im at this house (there will be no food at my house tonight so why go home???) watching sienfeld reruns and "teen fat camp" which he cannot rip his eyes away from, the fatties are FAR too compelling (i agree, fat fetish ftw)
there he is studying like a fool, doesnt he realise hes only working for the white mans money?? its WHITEY hes trying to please
and im pleased, with his choice of poster! i put it there agbainst his will.. but its been like a month now and he still hasnt taken it down so.... <3 greggy
edit 9th June as in the next day after the above post+image:
So yeah i did my exam today and it was as good as it could get i guess, i managed to concoct a couple of pages of mindless nonsensical drivel and walked out feeling like if I was lucky i'd just managed to get some of the questions right heh
Obviously i'm a errrr ....keen.. intellect... and i can only thank karma/luke for turning up at my place and helping me study.
By helping I mean distracting me in everyway possible, oh and that "FIT CAMP" tv series was sucking me in. Theres something about obese individuals that i just can't tear my eyes away from. Its kind of a morbid fascination, personally i've always been quite ... lean and athletic is the postive description at a tad bit over 6 foot and can't seem to gain weight even when I try. For those of you who scoffed at the thought of me trying at anything, we'll see who gets the last laugh.... probably you since i lack any general motivation.
Anyway yeah luke came over a while ago and chucked up that poster of Greg Raymer, i know its terrible and should be burnt but the effort it would take to pull it down from my wall in addition to my laziness....well its not moving any time soon.
Today was another awesome day, but it should have been so much better. It started off with me running terribly at NL $200, and deciding to jump into an NL $400 game with a buddy-listed donk who'd managed to build a 150 BB stack. I slowly chipped away at my losses at NL $200, and won a decent pot at NL $400 for +$100 with a pure bluff. Then I hit this hand against the afforementioned donk for my first $1k pot:
After that, I started to run sick hot at NL $200. Some hands just to demonstrate:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/207663
Just a ridiculous flop for me. All the money was going in no matter what, so with the check-raise in perfect relative position I won an extra $18.
However, after I broke $2k I ran into a brick wall. I probably should have stopped then, since I wasn't playing my A game any more, but the tables were just so juicy. I dropped a bunch before making a little back, for the day shown below:
All in a all a pretty damn good day (my second-best ever after yesterday), but more than a little frustrating. Still, I can't complain. June is going more than as well as planned, my BR is back in pre-cashout shape, and I should be continuing to take shots at NL $400 and maybe even higher as the month progresses.
Things at Titan keep going well. In the first half of the day, I started my 6-table session with a roll of $502. Ended the session at $613. Went to eat and do other stuff not related with Poker.
A few hours later, started my 2nd session of the day but it didn't go well. Went on a downswing and I stopped it at $550-560. Needed another break cause I was making huge mistakes and I joined the $3+R at Titan.
I don't remember how many rebuys I took, prob 3-4 + the Add-on. My BR at the end of the R/A period was at 541.62. I made the Final Table and finished in 5th for $55.44 . This is my 2nd Final Table at Titan so far.
Thanks to the FT price, the downswing didn't hit me so bad. Today the total amount of money won is: $95.06 and my BR is now at $597.06.
PokerStars is fun!
Today I played $0.50 and $0.25 tourneys there and I had a lot of fun. The game wasn't to beat my opponent's hand, but to know and try to guess how I was going to lose the hand! Like for example in the following hand, I was expecting to lose to running hearts, but I missed and instead of that lost to a straight. Booo

wanna have a lot of fun in the funniest site ever? GO TO PS! :D
PS doesn't make me mad anymore. It makes me laugh a lot! :D
Discipline, Dedication, Desire. If i had to sum it up today, it would be these 3 words. I think my game improved a lot and i can finally say i beat NL10, took me a month so i think i may be a terrible poker player but heh, i don't want to be the next Jamie Gold anyway (lols). My goal is: beat all limits till i reach my owns, i love competition and it has been a long time since i didn't play such a challenging game.
This site is awesome, and i love u all guys, some of you are retards but the vast majority is nice people that don't mind sharing their knowledge with beginners and for that, i thank you all.
From bottom to top, its nearly 10 buy-ins in 1k hands!... and i lost a big 500bb pot... otherwise would be 15 buy-ins in 1k hands wich i think could be the biggest upswing ive seen in my life.
At the very beggining Gators started playing quite wild... shoving my 3bet. and then shoving when i raised his weak lead in another pot... so this pot came:
He made a somewhat nice read, he is right i normally wouldnt play AK like that, however given the dynamics i would cuz i know he is playing back, fortunately he didnt have the balls to trust his read.... he also said he didnt believe me i had KQs.
Soon after that the session went horrible quite quick by stupid setups and beats:
mixed comments on this one, particulary i think i played this fine, if i were deeper i can fold, but im getting 6:1, its stupid to fold to his river bet as northface suggest, also i dunno what Zanjong tries to say, its just a set-up and he will pay me off with a big variety of hands other than a bigger flush.
Villian was a HUGE HUGE fish, i went to sleep at 6am! only to "chase" this guy and stack him, specially since he cracked my KK with a flopped straight... i slowly took my money back playing very very very loose in position calling with trash like 86o and calling him down when i hit a pair.
After a few hours bam, i get a hand... zomg nuts + redraw... this fish is going DOWN yes, every hour of wait was worthy... OMFG!!! 3 outer.
after that hand i decided that its better for me to grab a beer and chill out. 1,5k hands breakeven basicly. bleh.
im still looking for a way to protect myself against the shortstack magic that makes them win no matter how stupid they are (open shove k8o for 40bb? ofc my AKs is no good against them...)
A Lot of Interesting NL400 Handsby JonnyCosMo, June 06
So today's session was a little less than stellar. I've been running pretty well at NL400 for the most part and am up a couple thousand for the month, but today was my first losing day. After 1300 hands I was down $800ish which isn't bad at all considering it's only 2 buyins now. Ran into a lot of interesting hands, check em out:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/207400 - Seemed like a good time to semi-bluff. Apparently I was wrong. Opponent in this hand has been pretty aggressive for the most part, check-raising a lot of flops light so I figured he could only call this with a pretty strong hand.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/207403 - Opponent is playing 28/5/1 and seems like one of those stupid loose/passive fish that would check-call a pot size bet on this river w/ 1 pair. But he happens to shove... WTF? I think this is a fold.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/207409 - This was a pretty sick hand. Dofnsman43 reads through my turn bet pretty well and realizes I'm trying to pick up the pot since I know niether of the players in the hand have an ace. I suspect he's probably pretty weak but puts me on a bluff at the time so he will most likely hero call the river if I bet, so I'm totally done with this hand after the turn. River gives me a set. Bet pot, ship the $100 I lost in the previous hand!
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/207414 - Pretty sick line this guy takes. This was actually the 2nd time he's done this to me with this exact same line. You guys can't understand my curiousity on what hands he's doing this with. I think I'm going to call next time and find out
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/207417 - Meh, this hand was a pretty tough situation. I called mainly because I figured MrteddyKGB is 3 betting JJ+ preflop, so I can't be totally dominated in this hand. And there is a fair chance he has 99 or a sick combo draw like AQhh. I felt gross when I saw his hand... Run better plz =
So I'm finally back at home. I was on the class trip or w/e it's called. 3 days of boredom. That's all. God there was nothing to do. One day long we were walking in mountains - I promise it's the last time I did it !! I hated it. I'm not gonna write anything else about this trip cause there's nothing interesting.
I guess I missed some funny threads here If you don't mind, post some links please I have to read something before going to sleep
3 days without poker were not that bad. I know now I can do it
My bankroll is at $9k at the moment. I wrote in my last post about my goal to reach 16k till 16th birthday. I think it's really possible. I just have to win a lil more than 1 buy-in/day.
I think that's all today. Now I just have to focus and play my best game all the time.
It was a Good Day [green]($48.45)[/green]by tae-g, June 06
Coaching and such
Today (and the last few days) have been going great. Corwin has helped me A TON with my game, and has already fixed a ton of my leaks and opened my eyes to a lot of concepts I was missing. I've decreased my tables to 4, and have been trying focus really hard on each hand, and have been trying to pay more attention to detail.
Not too many noteworthy hands. I found a few spots to shove for value and got insta-called which was nice. Hopefully I'll continue to run good and progress.
Life, Poker, BBV, Marriage? Apartments?by Svenman87, June 06
Life
----
Eh going good. Sucks being tired almost 24/7 since I work 7-5 and I have insomnia it def. sucks :-[
-Marriage?!
I've been tossing this idea around in my head for a while now. My g/f and I have been going out for over 2 years and I think I'm moving towards proposing to her :-x I'd want a long engagement before we take the plunge though. Maybe another year or so since we are still so young.
Apartments
----------
I'm going to start looking for apartments pretty soon. Although free rent is pretty baller atm. I feel like I need to live on my own soon. Good life xp yo.
Poker
-----
Haven't played in a while. Online and Live.
I think this next paycheck is going to go back online and I'll roll myself for 25NL.
As soon as I match my intial buy-in I'm going to withdraw that money and put it in the bank.
BBV
---
Brag
----
I'm getting a raise and have a day off today ^_^
Beat
----
I have to go down to the corporate center tomorrow for 'training'
And on and on and on this went. Losing tiny pot after tiny pot; I basically lost a full buyin purely c-betting missed flops and getting played back at. I stacked 2 players, and my biggest loser was $9, yet I'm only up $20.
WTF? Someone help.
Anyhow, a good/dry session otherwise. I rebuilt my PC, and I was able to 6-table for the first time in a long time (without PT/HUD though -- gotta hit those nigs up for new codes). As a result, the screws were tightened a bit, and I didn't take any huge chances.
I guess on a positive note I didn't really tilt at all (only tilt would be betting pot instead of my usual 75-80% of pot ==). And a hand with JJ where I got swamped by other tables and made a poor decision, + KK vs a nit but that wasn't so bad, most people don't lead with sets anyway.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/206767
Hand against a fellow LPer. Sorry dude, thought you were making a move on the flop with a draw, then I hit that turn and well...
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/207204
I like playing against monkeys. The minraise to induce a push has actually become one of my favorite moves against these aggro-tards.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/207206
Very nice call down. Turn bet is a little funky, but I figured he's drawing dead, so keep him in since I'm pushing any river.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/207209
One of my best played hands of the day. Villain is a TAGfish, and his line just doesn't add up here. What real hand can he possibly have after checking the river, after I checked through the turn?
