Today I spent most the day grinding NL50, was even after 6 hrs and decided to take a shot at NL100 to see how the competition was there.

I played pretty well today, had a few minutes on NL50 where I made some mistakes and pissed away my profits for the day, right after lunch my focus wasn't too good..

I ended up losing 3/4 BI at NL100, coulda went worse I guess. Had one hand that took me from a win to a loss;

All in all, I think I can beat the NL100 games on a more focused mind, after 3,500 hands on NL50 I was a little burnt out.

Funny how things work out sometimes, I got sucked out in the other 6 or 7 sit and gos I played in. If that did'nt happen I got it in bad with kings or aces on draw heavy flops only to lose to sets that people called off half there stacks to hit. There was one tourney where I just played terrible and I deserved to lose made a stupid play got owned harcore.

I wrote a longer blog entry but for some reason I tried to hit post message and it said to log back in. I made a few edits so I think most of the stuff should be in now. I'm going to try and get this blog going so I can get to 200nl by the end of the year.


One last thing though is I need a laptop for school and I have a really nice desktop so I'm not gonna get a super nice laptop since I don't really like them. I just need it to take to class and get on the internet during class for some of our assignments.

Anyways if you could look at this link at let me know which ones you think are best of the ones all the way up the the black laptop that is 729. If someone could fine me a laptop that is around 600 to 750 that they think would be good for poker and school that would work as well. Thanks

I'm up like 2 bi at NL100 so far this month. Played about 7.5k hands. I'm not running well but I'm putting the hands in so that feels really good. I don't think I've ever played more then like 40k hands in a month ever so I'll try to get over 60k now since I've started 6-tableing. Try to get the BR back up and shit. I promise to make better drunkposts too. The last two ones sucked.

Life - same old same old, nothing new. I have my performance review at my work coming up this week. hope i get a raise >_< i do a lot of tech work + my job there.

Poker - 12 tabling 6-max + FR. The nice part is I'm playing close to my A game so I've been making some sick moves and meta-gaming the tables. I'm playing 25nl/50nl and occassionaly 100nl when the table is right.


I'll be moving to 50nl Full-time + some more 100nl soon.

Previous Goals

Over the weekend I had the goal to make 500.00
By the end of friday i was already +200.00 [+200]
Saturday I actually dropped -300.00 [-100]
Sunday I made a nice comeback at the 25NL tables. +300 on the day. [+200]
Finally today so far I'm up an additional 100. there is still time on the clock but it'll be a stretch since I have to do about 5 hours of work still today.


New Goals

I finally registered my PT on Saturday and got it up and running again, and I decided to play a couple of ring sessions to try it out and get used to it's full range of functions a little better.

I started playing a lot on Sunday 8-tabling $10NL on my laptop, and while I played I thought I'd watch a couple of the High Stakes Showdown matches on the side (especially since Bautista decided to put up $10k on his "rigged" account ), so I had 10 tables running on my screen at once.

As I played I realized that I was still maintining my games while also being able to actually watch the HU matches. The overlap wasn't THAT bad and I thought that I might as well just try 12-tabling for a bit to see how it went. I was surprised at how relatively easy it is to manage and that it is a lot slower than I thought it would be. So I played 12 tables the rest of Sunday's session and for today's session as well, and got about 4100 hands in for a profit. I think I'll be sticking to 12-tabling from now on.

Got my new appartment on friday, 5k and a weekend of running back and fourth to ikea later the place is finally starting to resemble a place to live in.

My bedroom is still sort of a mess filled with boxes n shit but hopefully it will turn out nice aswell.

School is going fine so far, i spent the last week being drunk most of the time and I dont think this week will be any diffrent.

I just wish I could go to korea for that tournament thingy and hang out with rekrul and other ballers. In a sense, im such a fish for going back to school but w/e.

If the same tour is hosted next year im pretty sure I will be going.

Yeha

only played a short session today cause i got annoyed by all the shortstacks ...

session started with a cooler and a bad beat
as always - 20 $ in the first hands.
QQ run into KK
and JJ set lost turn all in vs OESD that hit on the river.

I don t understand this ... going in for a whole 10 $ stack with an OESD ...

nevertheless the next 300 hands were followed by solid play and good results.
+ 28 $

so up about 8 $ for today.

I feel that the mass playing finally improved my game and i start to reraise in the right spots , keep agression high , but also learned fold when i am obviously beat.

I was just looking for my biggest losers and surprise ^^

Well I'm 24 unemployed and I now live with my parents, if I'm not a pussy magnet I don't know what is. Pretty much blew my roll traveling, but hey I have a lot of great memories. Since there is no casino near my parents house I decided to deposit $150 on stars and star the grind of 10nl 6max. So far so good, some spew and some coolers have cost me but I'm sitting up ~9 buyins in ~2600 hands so I can't complain. I'm going to take a shot at 6 max 25nl once I hit 15 buyins. Ok I was going to post my PT stats but I'm to retarded to figure out inserting images when I haven't slept in 22 hours. Someone wanna inform me how in a comment it would be appreciated.

August was not too bad. I started to play really well my last week and a half in august were i started playing a different way. I'll give it an extra 2 months and see how it goes before i say anything. I'm also going back to school again on Sept 4th, which sucks a little because i'm not a morning person and i dont like going to sleep early. I also hit my 200,000 VVP so i got a little bonus for myself, and also changed my poerkstars avatar. I hope we can setup a trip again around Chistmas so i can see some of you guys that i play with. I also met my 20K goal, i have around 16k in my account now, and i cashed out my supernova win and all my bonuse's from stars which was around atleast 8k since May. Time to keep playing, and studying too now. Hope everything works out.

Oh, bty, that big drop in my graph, that was 6 set over higher set all in 1 day, and then i wake up the next day and play some more and 2 more set over higher sets, just if u wanted to know

Oh, i'm also taking 2-3 shits a day on average, and not little nuggets, i mean like a good full amount every time. I dont know whats going on, i've been like this for 5 years now, not sure if its normal but no one has the same problem as me. Oh well. I also saw Superbad today, what an awesome movie, so funny!

Just wanted to say that august was tied for my 2nd best month, with +110k, but p3achy_keen is a newb so now im not as rich as i was before

I won alot at 25/50 and alot at 5/10, but had a slightly losing month at 10/20, probably because 1 day i dropped 25k at 10/20, which was weird because i didn't htink i was playign too terribly, just kept getting owned. I also had a day where I lost 14k messing around at 5/10 trying to be a super lagtard.

i'll try to make over 100k this month again, really trying to grind out alot of hands and hopefully start working out again and get back in shape.

I played around 40k hands in august and plan to do the same in september, I have a trip planned to aruba with sixpeppers and doomer in late september, which should be pretty sweet and I hope some other LPers would go but I think the APPT and EPT are the same time so its sorta messed up...

anyway i'm sorta gonna go now,

After 1 month of solid playing I have hit my goal of beating 25NL. I feel I ran very poorly and still reached the goal I set for myself, so I am very happy about that. After the full 30 days I have played 50,000 hands. (With a sick session of 6.5k hands played today)

I am going to start playing NL 50 tomorrow morning as a fresh start and give myself 40 days to beat the limit. I feel I can definitely play about 70,000 hands in that time. I don't expect to change my style until 200 NL.

During this stretch of smashing micro stake donks it has taken a lot of patience and strength to keep playing after taking consistent 2 outters and running horribly.. but I have a perfect quote of inspiration from Rocky 4.
"You're gonna have to go through hell, worse than any nightmare you have ever dreamed. But in the end, I know you'll be the one standing. You know what you gotta do.. do it. Do it.

So a couple of days ago I'm talking about my year so far with Derric (sixpeppers) and we both had really similar years so far, he started at 100NL and i had just moved to 200NL right before the start of the year, and we have both made around 50k for this year and are both 600NL regulars right now. So with great past months (we both had our best month in august) where i managed to rake 18k and he raked 16k for august.

Well basically he tells me how he was setting his sights on making it to the 6 figure mark before years end. And i had actually set that goal myself at the start of this year. SOOO! since we are both hoping to make another 50k this year, WHY NOT SIDEBET? So we sidebet 400$ LOL which i know some are gonna say is kinda nitty since we are both project 50k and only betting 400$, but this is more of a pride/motivational bet. I am however schemeing how i can break his fingers so he can't play poker, but make it look like an accident. Suggestions welcome.

Tonight I took most of the day off and relaxed/lounged around the house. I planned on taking the whole night off, but got the juicing flowing to play around 8 o'clock.

This was a great decision, I logged on and was playing my best from start to finish. I finished the session up big, and quit when I felt my focus and drive starting to slip a little bit. Theres always another day, no reason to push myself to play when I'll be wanting to play again tomorrow.

I'm really looking forward to my first full week on NL50 6max, its been treating me very well, and I've been improving drastically everyday.
