Ok so im really fucking pissed off atm,my knees are so shatterd cuz i had standup sex last night or whatever the fuck its called in english, also my carpal tunnel is killing me cuz i played starcraft earlier today, god fuck I guess I ll go lift weights and whear myself out till I don't feel no pain at all.
Pokerwise I'm playing good and running good...
Watched FrinkX's NL400 vid and I liked it in total only so many pictures of tom at end was a bit confusing, mancrush or something def goin on,glad to see he started coaching aswell.
I feel like this community has a insanely strong backbone of NL400 and above grinders that know their shit and contribute alot to players like me,so I'd just like to thank you all...
Starting from Erling,day[9],nolan,frinkx,myth(the king def),TalentedTom and so on!
Here are my PT stats of this month so far...Haven't been putting too many hands in but the ones I do put in I grind it out like a man,so overall pokerwise happy as I said already.

| | My baby takes the morning train by CrownRoyal, January 08
Soooo
I had a .25 GPA in my last semester of school because im so unmotivated it's sick. I attended class at max 5% of the time - yet still passed every single test. I failed out because they apparently take points off for every day that you dont attend class which was essentially every non test day for me. I think college is pretty retarded and a waste of time considering I can pass all of my tests going in and having not a clue what they are even about.
So, I'm taking a semester off to find myself. I need a job, thus far I have sucked at finding one. I want to get a job + house with friends though ASAPLY.
I'm completely broke at the moment and it sucks, so i desperately need a job, but having little to no luck finding one after maybe 30 minutes of searching.
_____
In other random news, the girl who made me so upset in the past broke up with her boyfriend, snuck out of her house after her curfew (she is 17 and i'm 18) and her dad caught her, she ignored him and we spent a night together where she dropped a very serious L bomb on me and proceeded to give me the greatest sex of all time, I got off not once, not twice, but THREE times in one session. My dick is still sore, but all is well. I'm really not sure what love even is cause ive never been in love really, but I do know that I like her a lot? I dont know that I love her but she asked me how I felt and I couldn't even give her a good solid response, however I'm an insanely good bullshitter and still left her feeling very happy/good even though she didn't get an answer she was looking for.
ANDDDDDDDD lastly, I think I've decided my life plan.
-I'm gonna get a house + job for now, start attending school again most likely in the fall
-Go to school + work and live out my young years and hopefully experience everything I want out of them
-Get a new good job and start investing very young and hopefully be well enough invested that after 10 years or so be able to quit working all together and become a writer or politician or something, I think I really have a gift and ability that I can share with this world, or at least I hope that I do, and im way too smart to work my whole life or something.
-be very successful + rich and hopefully can pass prosperity on to all of my family
this blog is so longwinded and random, i can only see the tl;dr's coming already.
Sincerely Caleb(tEhSkiEs) *SuperLife degen

Yo I met mad ballers today and Full Ring legends like Treysfull and Dilith it was sweet.
I also went to Nobu with a big crowd and got crunked it was cool. Pinball is now my favorite viking, Saki used to be cool but has rescinded his viking status.
Cheers.

Ran well again. That was a short downswing. WooT!
http://www.smiteam.net/uploads/6775General-1-7-08-NL100-1day.jpg
http://www.smiteam.net/uploads/9767Graph-1-7-08-NL100-1day.jpg
That puts the BR @ about $4,900. The plan is to start taking shots @ NL200 when I make it up to $6,000. A bit nitty but I expect a solid change in competition and want to have a good cushion. I'm determined to get solidly into NL200 by the end of this month. I know I am definitely running amazingly well @ NL100 right now, but I do think part of it has been this new LAG style which has tilted people into spewing off stacks much more than I ever used to be able to induce.
I also just learned about how Myth does his coaching and wish I was in that situation. I know for sure that right now I want a coach and if I'm not winning in NL400 by the time he gets done with his 2 students, then I will definitely be doing all I can to get him to coach me. I might do it even if I am winning cause he's a great player and what he's offering is the perfect type of coaching for me.
I also sent an application in for the Cardrunners protege search. Nothing has been announced yet and I think my chances are pretty slim in that huge field of applicants. I put a lot of effort into that application but I wasn't as creative as some of the others and have a feeling mines gonna get lost in the mix. But if I do get chosen I'll be pretty much the happiest guy in the entire world.
On the personal life things are good with my GF and we're apartment hunting. Thinking of maybe getting a 2 bedroom place near the office since it's a cheap part of town and we can make the 2nd bedroom into the "poker office" for me. I think we'll set her a desk in there too, but it will be my poker den in my head, hehe.
So now I'm off to go through my hands from the second session tonight and find out what I did wrong. I'm sure there's plenty of it!
EDIT: Here's my hands that I have Q's on from the second session. Gonna post em up in threads on the forumz later, but I'm tired now and just want to get em down somewhere before I got to sleep. Hands are in the spoilers like usual.
1) I know that you gotta get a set all in on the flop whenever possible. My question is that when it's a 3 connected board like this and a passive player is getting active, and you're both a bit deep, does that idea still apply? I'm pretty sure it does but I want to ask now in case I'm wrong so I don't repeat it in the future.
+ Show Spoiler +
2) I had been pretty active raising hands and the previous hand I'd checked with Tp and a good kicker on the flop and won the hand at showdown after getting aggressive on the turn. So when he raised I thought he may be thinking that I was cbetting weak since I was slowplaying top pair before. I guess I'm jumping up too many levels eh? So I decided to repop and when he shoved I figured I was probably vs a set or an overpair. Vs a set I was drawing dead and vs an overpair I had 5 outs, figured it was better to just fold here. Do I need to call cause of the odds?
+ Show Spoiler +
3) This guy was a standard TAG with a high Cbet percentage and a low double barrell percentage. I decided to float him here but that may have been a really bad idea since it was a 3bet pot. I folded the turn cause I didn't think he'd hit the second barrell with air. Thoughts?
+ Show Spoiler +
4) I felt like he was weak with his flop bet but his call of my raise confused me a bit. Hitting the king I figured I was best but also figured I was only getting a call there from a flush, and wanted to check for pot control. I normally bet in this spot but I guess I've gotten a bit scared - is that the right move? Anyway, then on the river I figure my turn check is inducing a bluff and I have to pay off a 1/3 pot bet.
+ Show Spoiler +
5) Here's a similar spot but this time I hit the turn figuring that I don't want to give a draw to a flush for free and that a call from him there means I will check behind on the river. Meh, not sure I like handling it this way either!
+ Show Spoiler +
6) Bad time to check the turn? I figure there's not much he can be on and he folds things like queens on the turn to a bet. I felt like I get more value out of him by checking the turn and calling the river. Also mixes up my lines a bit.

| | Swingiest session ever by WilsWils, January 07
Got kinda bored and didnt want to exercise / dota after dinner so i decided to log a session, but this time swinging over to 6max because i felt like gambooling.
Played around 2.3k hands where i went up 2 BI's w/o showdowns after 300 or so hands, just through positional raising and bluffing extremely scary boards to balance out when i get called while actually having something.
Then i started getting chipped down by losing 70/30s 60/40's to medium-shortish stacks in gross suckout-y situations like so
Suckouts/Coolers for the session:

Those were the biggest "bad beat-ish" hands that i had, other than that i played my regular game, but tightened up my 3bet range when a few MT'ing regs sat down. I ended up grinding back up to even, when i played the most amazing hand ever.

JUSTICEEEEEEEEEEE
That started my upswing, and i ended up 2.5 BI's on the session, recovering from today's nastiness.
Total BR: 1580~ or so with no rb.
Getting to that goal slowly, hoping to FR NL100 @ 2200-2500, and 6 max it when i go to 30-35~ BI's or so. Higher limit = more competition = more swongs mirite?
My BB/100 is still abysmally low, but its all good. I like to think that the data is fucked when i took nubcake shots when i was fairly clueless how to LONG TERM PROFITABLLY play FR/6max, and i like my strategy of bouncing between both NL formats so that i can get the feeling of both, and will have the option to play either depending on my mood / # of regs.
Stats for:
6max (15K hands): 24 vpip / 14 pfr / 1.82 total af
FR (27K Hands): 18 vpip / 8.5 pfr / 1.1 total af
NM LOL THESE STATS ARE ALL BROKEN. BUT USE THEM IF YOU CAN SOMEHOW DECIPHER HOW PT fucked up my shit. oh well

| | ugh can't win today by whamm!, January 07
today is a bs session. lots of 5 outers hitting also due to the fact that im playing very weakly too, so it kinda sucks being a nit on days like these. i check turn, they improve there, make a value bet at the river, then i pay them lol. lost what i won yesterday and half a buyin. jesus 50nl here at stars is kinda hard, a mixture of super nits and semi aggressive postflop players. no fish to be seen here today so im pretty much running like dog turd. hope tomorrow is better though, it always is
played second session:
broke even at 25nl, then tried playing 50nl 12tabling making my thoughts on every hand clearer and observations on players better, plus my hud stats don't show like little dots coz i have them enlarged anyway when im playing 2 monitors.
25nl - lost 6usd(had a couple of beers with tokeweed before playing lol)
50nl - got some sleep, then played - won 2 1/2 buyins
so for the day lost 170usd 1st session, won 120 2nd session, plus 50usd bonus = even steven lol

| | Not So Hot Anymore by k2o4, January 07
Managed to loose 4.5 buyins yesterday. I'd say 2.5 were due to running bad, but 2 were definitely due to tilt/stupidity. The first session was the worst as I lost 3.5 buyins. The sudden shock of EVERYTHING failing threw me off and I started to tilt a bit and threw 2.5 buyins away. Serious donation.
Soon as I saw that tilt overtaking me I closed PS asaply and played some COD4. Then I came back calmed down and proceeded to play quite well but still lost another 2 buyins.
Today's gone better and I've won back a little over 2 buyins. Plan to do another session after this post. But I realized while reviewing the earlier session that I lost most of the unnecessary money through bad river bets. I made a post on the forumz but I'm gonna repost it here to get maximum exposure.
I also filmed this last session and am planning to upload the vid tonight while sleeping. I'll probably post it up tomorrow and am hoping to get some advice. I've kept most of my vids to a close group of friends until now but I wanted to see if anything good comes from opening it up to a larger audience. It will probably get like 5 DL's and 2 comments, but it's worth a shot =)
Here's the hands from earlier tonight (they're in the spoilers):
1) Villian running 28/1/0.6 and was a total station. I figured he'd play it like this no matter what hand he had, be it a shit ace or a pocket pair. I was playing very lag about 35/30 or so. I figured I'm good here a large amount of the time. His river raise definitely stood out but at that point I was pretty committed. If he'd raised the turn I can find a fold, but meh, not sure what to think about this.
+ Show Spoiler +
2) Villian running 40/2/.5 or so and I didn't have him pegged as a station but rather as someone who'd fold the flop pretty often... I put him on an A, maybe AJ, and maybe a pair with a str8 draw. I was betting for value. I think the river bet was a bad idea. At the time I figured I wouldn't bet pot or stack off since he'd probably only call that with a hand like AQ for the str8. But now looking back, I think this may be a situation where checking behind on the river is the better part of valor, or at least a much smaller bet? I dunno..
+ Show Spoiler +
3) This villian was running 62/7/.5. I originally put him on either a weaker A or a flush draw. Felt it was pretty much the same on the turn. Then on the river I thought the same and went for value. I think that was a mistake. My hand wasn't that strong and I don't see many hands worse calling me there. A lot of weaker aces have made 2pair... the flush didn't come so a flush draw is probably folding. Of course a set/2pair is coming along, and maybe a stronger ace. I think this was a time to check behind. Thoughts?

Had a question about a hand
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=355140
I had 3 bet this villian 3 times in the last 2 orbits. Got 2 callers this time with a real hand, I was running 30/30 and cbetting 100% of flops. Do you like the openning bet or think this is a C/R situation?

Jumped up +3 BI today but got apesmashed with a few bad beats in a few large pots dropping down to a -2BI day, nothing super terrible tho, as i've been doing well the last 3 weeks. I've moved back to FR from 6 max just to test out the few things i learned from 6 max, and altho i feel much more confident that im extracting alot of value from my big hands, i can still improve in certain situations :<
Here's a fun one
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/355091
RWAR
BR exactly one month ago: 630 (incl. RB)
Current BR: 1480 (+300 RB any day now)
Goals by end of Jan:
Play another 25k hands of FR/6MAX @ 50nl to finish @ 60k hands total at the 50nl level
Move up to 100NL and quickly learn the regulars and get used to it - i plan to stay the longest at 100nl until i can beat it over a 100k hand sample size for 3 bb/100, right now im running meh-ish @ 50nl 6max / FR, only beating both respectively at 2 BB/100 cause i ran bad earlier when i moved up.
Still feeling good about my game tho

| | Humility is expensive stuff by KwarK, January 07
I sustained a 12bb/100 winrate at 25nl over Christmas. I made a lot of money. I thought I was pretty good. I tried to move up to 50nl as Christmas was ending and I paid for it.
I now know that I was not as good as I thought I was and that I was simply benefiting from the constant happy hour that is Christmas. Once it was back to regulars I could just about break even at 25nl, and I certainly wasn't ready for 50nl. This has been a very expensive lesson, about half of my bankroll in total. But I feel it is an important one anyway.

| | Nooooo way... by SashineK, January 07
....poker could be this boring.
Just finished a third session today. The first is described already, second lasted for bout 460 hands and i ended half a bi up. I made a lot of bad plays, as usual. Like this or this.
The third one was a total disaster. I played 900 hands and during this time i wasted all previous days winnings with a terrible 15% W at SD. I just could get to showdown with a better hand. I think the problem is i'm a terrible station, which is shown in this one - im 100% positive he hits the damned Queen on turn - both statswise and feelwise, but im a station i call to get upset about being unlucky - another one here - showing that i know everything, but cant use it. Sure everyone would know he called all the way with practicaly nothing to hit trips on river or maybe he is colordeaf and thought he had FD. :D
Later in the session, after i got knocked out of the tourney in easy pot - MP hero raises, gets two callers, 7 high FD flop, BB bets, hero raises pot, he shoves i call, he shows JJ river.com goes J. :D - i switched to 2 tables and found a perfect sucker so i waited to stack him..... which was supposed to happen in this hand, but i managed to fold. So he stacked me in this pretty hand, but he made also some good calls like this one.
Tough thing to post like 10 mistakes and still like 30 more hide... but i'll manage this shit and then be unbeatable. Or i shall post it tommorow. GNite

I feel Im really playing better than ever. Over the holidays I have been playing alot of HU and its sooo profitable, geez theres alot of easy money in the HU tables. People just dont know how to play. Since I will probably be playing 2/4 for the following months I definitely expect to be one of the biggest winners on both HU and 6-max.
