I've played pretty much this first week of the year, and I'm even in the top ten for ballerpoker hand race.

My 10NL is jinxed:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/356107
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/356110
but I'm able to win a lot at 5NL now, so the plan for the nearest future is to change to 5NL when I'm below $1000 bankroll and change to 10NL when I'm above $1050.
I am though pretty sure my losses at 10NL is mostly bad luck. How else can they always hit runner runner shit while I face the A with KK and A and K with QQ every time on 10NL...

bleh, played like shit, still up.
BR: 1650~
never mind
ran like dog shit when i sat down for a 3rd 6max session, couldn't get ANY actions on any of my premium holdings (couldnt even see a flop) when i made my standard raises.
Was dealt alot of unavoidable cooler hands such as
A10
10 10 J
ofc villain has J10 when we get it in
2 set over sets when some guy limped aces 4 way (lol), and someone called a 3bet with 22 (GG?)
br got shit on, down to 1500
shouldn't have played today, oh well, might take the day off tommorow

| | Unmotivated by rhino9907, January 08
My goal for 10k hands per month is not going very well as I have been busy and generally unmotivated for a week or so. I did play live twice in the past week, I won a total of $1 friday night playing 1/3, and then won a pretty good chunk last night. Anyway...only logged about 1100 hands so far this month, its early, but 10k is going to be tough I think. Doing well though as I seem to be running pretty hot on Cake still.

Couple hands from today that I'm not real sure about, this one I feel like a monkey trying to fuck a basketball. I was playing 21/18 at the time, I didn't like being stuck in the middle, however, I have no idea how to play this hand post flop with the over out there and someone acting behind me. My thoughts on it were play it small and try to get to showdown.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=356025
I question whether this is a +ev call long term the villian is running 59/26 over 250ish hands.

Played so fucking bad in my first session today, kept seeing things that weren't there, and getting scared by all types of donk lines. Ugh so disgusted with myself, missed out on probably 3-4 chances to stack the shit out of donks but i ended up winning the minimum because i kept thinking stupid shit. couple coolers as well but i feel i lost the minimum - but they could have been avoided if i had just stuck to my usual game and not attempt to "TRY NEW SHIT TODAY MAYBE I CAN GET A HIGHER WIN RATE LOL". I'm still up for the day, but only a buyin and a bit. bah, so annoying cause i know im better than this, today was just playing like a scared nit tho.
Caught this guy minraising with the nuts twice on the river, immediately thought he had a badly played AK and ended up just calling /puke
+ Show Spoiler +
I overthink way too fucking much in MIN-3bet pots VS DONKS. Vs a regular i would play this like i would usually play in 3bet pots, but NOOO i had to play this hand like an idiot and miss out on an easy stack.
+ Show Spoiler +
Actually this one may not be too bad given how villain plays his big hands, but still i could have probably even minraised and squeezed more out.
+ Show Spoiler +
"HEY, LETS NOT 3BET HERE LIKE I WOULD 99% OF THE TIME, AND TRY TO TRAP WITH AN OVER PAIR AND LET HIM GET THERE LOLO."
+ Show Spoiler +
This guy was getting extremely fed up with me c/ring him on a bunch of flops, i fucking knew if he minraised turn he had me beat, but i donk called "JUST TO SEE HOW HE PLAYS HIS SETS". Grats me on blowing away half a bi. How embarassing
+ Show Spoiler +
Ordinarily i can 100% get away from this. But again, this was a guy i had been abusing for a long time, and decided that he was just trying to make a stand because he seemed so out of line. whoops, reverse value towned
+ Show Spoiler +
. . . . . .
Despite all this i was able to get off a couple of big bluffs in some medium sized pots in position, which helped me get paid when i ran the exact same line on a few big hands which i DIDNT fuck up value betting. Bleh, gonna take a break and hit the tables again when i have time tonight, really disappointed in this session T___________T because i was betting like a pussy and just not playing anywhere near optimal.
i blame the meds / tiredness. i might as well have been jacking off while playing my tables today, at least i would have got more pleasure :<

AD : i play pokerzzzzzz
mom : wtf i hope u arent serious ....
AD : I make enough that i dondt need a 6$ / h shitty part time job ... for the modest lifestyle i have.
mom : i hate this !!! cardgames is form the devil ! thats not honest money ... I hope u lose it all that u must stop poker
AD : well how about being happy for me that i make moeny with something i am good at and thats fun for me ?
mom : U dont understand ... poker is cardgame of the devil ! I really hate the fact that you are doing it ...
AD : Well i guess i wont talk to you about that topic anymore .... just has no sense ...
Dad comes in few hours later :
How about that jop ? did u take it ?
AD : no ... look at my pokergraph from january ... i dont need a part time job ... i make enough to pay for my simple and modest life style of a university student
dad : well i see u made 411$ the last 8 days , looks nice ...
but even though i have to warn u that poker is sooo risky !
AD : have u ever played it ?
Dad : Ofc ... i played card games for money when i was young and i also played poker
AD : u played Texas Holdem and made money with it ? Sry to be that harsh but from what i saw your poker skillz cant even beat Nl 10
on the iNternetz .. i d be really surprised u have a Texas Holdem background ... U dont even know the basics from what i got when we talked about poker in the past and when u once obsed a session from me and were mega impressed by my thought process
Dad : No , we played 5 card Poker ... thats not the same as NL Holdem ... but its still Poker !
AD : T_T >_< oh i see
...
..
..
.
nevertheless here is my updated January graph :
http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/5057/januarpokeroa6.jpg
I really dont see why i should work my ass off in a shitty part time job ... for 400€ a month
when i can make like 750€ month from Poker while having fun at the same time ...

| | New day, new session by SashineK, January 08
You gotta go into every new day and every session with positive expectation, right?! I did and I gotta say, it was LEGEN...... wait for it......DARY session followed by another awesome session later 'high five' ;-). Maybe i got a little sympathy for yesterdays unsuccesful coal-minning in deeps of PS. :D Anyway, i wanted to share some hands, because i switched of POW mode. And i need to know i did right. I pasted all hands which looked interesting into a .txt file so i shall put up only a few, cuz i have a lot of them in that file, but unless someone is interested in 'i flop nuts he shoves from EP ' hands i shall discard them.
1.Calling a short - i didn't win this one, but i wanna know if this call is right by you. I feel like they shove with absolutely random hand and hence the call should be good in long run.
2.Ezy fold? - i think i was beat on turn with K, but i wasnt sure and thought i'd call if nothing scary would come, but the ace of spades was the worst one.
3.Ship it....
4.Very overplayed pocket 77 - POW mode ON - shame on me
5.Crazy people
6.POW mode once more - im supposed to give up and he is supposed to raise... sick world
7.My belowed busted FD move :-)
8.Was it a good fold?
9.Second session - i think im right pushing against his range?!
10.I want to check this river
I put up numbers if you comment on hands to make it easier, ty.

| | 50NL Next Session by devddd, January 08
Only played the one session today.
Started off sluggish, and then i made a really bad call with a board paired flop with my AA... and i got really pissed off and had to play better. Towards the end of the session i felt really confident and in charge of my tables.
I also made a sick lay down with a 10 high flush, and should have pushed the turn, but i think i saved money laying it down!?? lol
1250 hands 14.8/9.7 for +$130.

| | The High Stakes Learning Process by Babygrand, January 08
This last two weeks has been quite the poker camp for my buddies and I in East Lansing, MI. We have played so much poker I can't even see straight. We have pretty much learned every lesson in the book. How to create a bankroll from nothing. How to lose a bankroll from the top. How to win at full ring games. How to tilt off winnings. How to win heads up. How weak limit hold'em is on Stars. Overall, it was a very fun and progressive couple weeks. The biggest take I got from this past week is how weak the 10/20 game is on Stars. I have developed my game specifically for the uber aggression that takes place on those tables. For example:
I am sitting on button with AA. Guy in cut-off makes it $80 to go. I smooth call, knowing there are two aggressors behind me. One of the aggressors makes it $400 to go. The original raiser calls. I instastick. Both players call. One with AJ and one with QQ. 6k pot. These are plays that will never, ever work at limits below 2/4. There is just not enough action preflop. The higher limits allow you to add one big element to your game: preflop uncertainty. Lower limit players don't care what you are holding and don't ever attempt to make plays based on what two cards you have. Make hands, that is how to be profitable at low limit. I constantly disguise the strength of my hands. And I play enough garbage for players to pick off tons and tons of pots off of me and me to do the same thing, without them picking up on the fact that I am setting them up. Another thing is I am not afraid to shove any two cards in preflop. (Not call, shove). A couple days ago I shoved all in over the 3rd bet with 89dd and got a fold. I have gotten a call as well, but I kinda sucked out. (10 7dd v AQ). I don't want players to think that every time I raise garbage they can make money off of me by reraising. I want them to know that I will come back and often, when the time is right.
High stakes players have one thing going for them. They are fearless. This sucks for the average player. When you are staring at an all-in on the turn and you only have top piece, it is tough to make big calls. But we can definitely use this fearless tool against them. Set them up in big hands. Look across the table when you are holding big ones and think, is this guy going to make a reraise here. Utilize shortstacks, do not reraise them out of hands. When they push their chips in and you come over the top, it disguises your hand strength because it looks like an isolation move and not a value shove.
There are more donks than I previously thought at higher limits. One in particular absolutely raped me on Saturday night for like 6k. I am not sure if they post here, so I won't say their name, but there is a huge whale at 10/20 and 25/50 tables these days. You have got to know who is the donk and who is the shark. We can make money off of both of their styles, but we have to know who they are. Straaaaate actually tipped me off on this whale when I was watching him at a table and he was talking about this player. I wish he hadn't cuz the whale sucked out big time on me. However, I will find them again. For now, I am going to reload my roll at the midstakes games and wait til I have 60k to play the big ones again. Until then, enjoy the whales.

today i probably had the biggest loss in the shortest span of time funny thing is it wasnt that much on suckouts or anything i jsut couldnt hit anything i were outflopped every single time no matter what, i missed all my hands no exeptions, i quickly dropped 2k in 250 hands!, i were upset and managed to have a -4,600 peak loss, so sick, i were definitelly on that time not playing my age but im happy that i did not monkey tilt, i regained composture and went back to my game and grinded my way out a bit to end up only 2.5k down... sick stuff:
