started playing 50nl, then of course started a progressive downswing(it's automatic for me the last 15k hands here at 50nl fr), got so upset i was ready to break my mouse again lol. then decided to play 25nl to win back some, then got coolered thrice after a nice 1bi start, went to the mall with a friend then played in the afternoon this time at 6 max(50nl), which i crushed back when i used to play it. surprisingly i won 2bi in 400 hands then proceeded with 25nlfr again then things went smoothly again and won 4bi there so i won about 60usd today total. pretty sick sessions but overall at the end gave me back some lucky breaks which is always good. here's my graph:

note: my pt is kinda fucked up about the time zone so my day gets split into two, mainly the reason why i split my sesssions, well the first session i lost what ive won yesterday and some 20usd more so today is kinda like im up only a 130usd or so.

Ok so today started kinda bad. 8 Sng tables had a 1st,2nd, and a third and on the other tables that i lost on was QQ vs J10 and AK vs AJ 4 card flush out AA vs Ako and still yet again 4 card flush out. Made one bad play on another table J high flush vs K high flush with the A on the board. down half a BI.

Second session better session but still losing on table like AK vs Q10 calls all in on the flop with Q high no draw and catches the queen on the turn. Had a bubble burst with AA vs 77. I 4 bet pre flop he pushes all in. of course with AA it was a insta call and he flushes out on the river. Had yet another big play busted 77 vs K9, 4 bet pre flop and the flop on 568r he min raises i know he has nothing push my stack in he calls with a draw 2 7s to catch remind u, 4 hits the turn im now 95% to win and yeah guess what he catches the 1 of 2 7s to win but i ended this session with 3 1st's up 3.5 BI oh yeah and hitting quads twice with in about 5 mins of each other

was about to call it a night but figured i'd jump on some cash tables for a little with in about 10 15 mins i was up about 7 BI's and all the tables had no one left on them cleaned most of them out including beating KK with QQ and it was like i knew it was coming KK min raises pre flop i being a donk sometimes after steaming a little from a hand on another table pushes all in feeling my QQ low rainbow hit and i was knew in my mind a Q was coming called "Queen" in my head and it hit and i knew i had it locked up

You know those times where you just run into some son of a bitch whom you just cant seem to win against? Well today i ran into my kryptonite on another 6max excursion. The session started off easily enough, ran into a quick KK v AA for almost a buyin, but meh, standard stuff, i reload and start 6-7 tabling while msning. Then everything goes to hell, when some guy by the name of tony-fucking-onion sits down on one of my tables and immediately jailrapes me for the next 500 hands, smashing my great session into a bungee jumping ride of death.

if it weren't for the other guys i was ape smashing on the other tables, this would have been quite the depression session, i just could not win a godamn hand against this guy. 3betting? He'd outdraw me. Trapping? He'd outdraw me. AGGRODONKSMASH? He'd somehow win.

Just a quick blog entry before I go to the gym...

Recently, I've been thinking, what exactly defines success? Is it wealth? Is it happiness? Is it ones vocational satisfaction/respect level?

For me, success used to be defined by wealth. Now, I'm not so sure.
Just curious as to how YOU define success.

went up to turning stone last weekend to play some tourneys

340 6max: lost in a standard hand i forget what it was.. shoved over and lost a race
550: lost with KK vs AQ and QQ aipf sweet
1k: lost on the 2nd hand with 66 vs 88 on 863KQ board, ok
340 deepstack turbo: lost QJ vs AJ pushbotting bvb

all in all very gay tourneys.. cash games went really well though, played 5/5 500max and destroyed it pretty much all weekend

i feel like shit lately playing online, i don't know what it is... if i lose one crucial race or 80/20 or have one huge blowup, i totally lose focus on the other stuff im playing. not sure why i'm so fragile mentally but it's pissing me off.

in other news i sort of wish i had a bit of freedom to play cash games when i want to, like in the 2-4 hour time frames that i have throughout the day when i can't sit for 6 hours to devote to a MTT session. i can't, though, because i'm staked right now and i don't want to mix up the bankroll and all that. plus i hate full tilt so that option's out. i feel like i can succeed at cash games with a little work, since i've never really devoted myself to it in any capacity. the mix of mtts and cash games might be good for me, i dunno. but as i said right now that's not an option i guess

Played a short session of nl25 w/ sweating. Won 2 all ins and lost 1, lost 10$ though ~~ Other than that pretty uneventful.
Gonna keep playing nl5 on my own and learning nl25 w/ coaching.

Ok here are a variety of hands, finished the day down a buyin which sucks because I spewed real bad in some spots and I know I can play better. There were some tough beats in there but that's going to happen. Ok so some hands I want to discuss.

I've been real active at the table so him 3 betting here is no suprize. OOP I don't know if I like the call, mistake #1. Ok as played once I get to the turn my thoughts are I could be C/C the flop with really any king here or an FD and just repecting the 3 bet. Check check turn, and I lead 1/2 pot trying to rep the king and look like a solid value bet on the river. Anyway results oriented or not I'm sure this hand is butchered that was my process please call me an idiot.

Pretty standard pre flop, once he leads in I'm thinking Q/Q K/K A/A and A/K. I shove repping the A ran into aces, my thoughts are even if I'm up againsted Q/Q A/A I still have 8 live outs. Also if he has K/Kc which has me dead in the water a shove here should push him off it since he's only getting 2:1. Really the only hand that I'm dead against is K/Kc or A/Kc so I thought a push is ok here based on that thought process. Discuss, tear me a new one, probably spewy but I do think I have FE here.

I'm playing 33/24/4 here so a lot of aggression and when I hit resistance I wasn't 2 barreling very often which is why I C/R the turn. I had him on K/J K/Q A/K so assuming the river didnt pair the board or throw paint out there I was putting in a sizable river bet. Since I hadn't been firing a lot of two barrels I think max value here is C/R. Thoughts anyone?

The villian was an utter maniac running 56/34/8 over 120 hands or so. I was really inclined to call, think this is a +ev fold based on how aggressive he had been. I don't see A/A K/K shoving here there's not value in it. Q/Q J/J maybe to get A/K out but I was really thinking he had A/K or a mid pocket. Thoughts?

The heater is over. Just kidding But I'm only $62 up at NL200 6max when at some point was +$1600. And nope, I'm not doomswitched this time, I'm playing very very very bad and the only responsible of the loses its me. I'm overplaying some hands and not folding a few pairs enough.

Other situations I'm having are:
I get KK/QQ utg and I get 4-5callers (LOL@6max) and I got to fold in monotone flops or very drawy boards or because of their beautiful sets.
I've had two AQvsAK on A-2-2 type of flops.
And some more shit.

I'm gonna play a few hands at NL100 then jump back at NL200.
I'm still $2700 this month because of my 1st place finish at a tourney a few days ago

Yeah im doing totally horrible, just getting sucked out/full of bullshit setup and donkey playing crappy hand and lucking. I took a break and came back, got sucked out some more... its getting fucking disgusting. Fuck this. Down something like 5k since yesterday which is horrible...

edit: more fucking suckouts... pisses me off all I can think about his poker and I start school soon, really a fucking bad mixt, if I start losing im gonna really screw up my school that sure I almost failed last session because of my downswing...

First of all happy new years to all and i hope you all got your expectations for this year also like me. This year i expect to make it to supernova on PokerStars VIP Status and make it to 400NL in which i am sure by this year i will make it cause i am putting has much effort i can to do it. Also i will like to thanks DooMeR(my cousin) for helping me out threw this past year and helping me not to go broke! hehe and for viewing my hands and helping me. Things have been going well and I've been consistently winning over the last 7,500 hands or so with a small 1,500 hand downswing. I've gotten into the habit of playing shorter session which are usually around 500 hands (normally about 1 hour). I find if I keep playing beyond that I get sloppy, and for some reason I keep starting to feel like I'm not on my game and when I check I've played somewhere between 450 and 550 hands pretty often.

I have been playing 1-2 sessions a day since January 1st so I'm playing 500-1,000 hands a day. Not a lot but 4-5 tabling I feel like it's not bad. The results are great so far and I'm up about $2,700 @ NL100 so far this month.

Now I'm getting close to the move up to NL200 as I plan to start taking shots @ a $6,000 BR. I definitely know that I've run well so far this month and have scored even bigger thanks to the many bad players @ NL100. I am definitely going to make the move up to NL200 when I hit 6,000 but I want to go into it with my eyes open so that I don't get crushed.

I'd love to hear some thoughts from people who have recently moved to NL200 on PS about what the differences are, if any. I'd also love to hear from anyone who has moved back and forth between NL200/NL100 before to hear what they think the differences are. I feel good about how I'm playing even though it still needs a lot of work. I just am curious if my play is going to be good enough @ NL200. I know that when I first moved to NL100 I felt like I was way outclassed.

Today was an interesting day for me pokerwise
I had some taff hands and a nice session.

I lost quite some heavy pots today and also did 2-3 really bad plays
besides that i played concentrated and good imo.

I am satisfied with how i do the thought process stuff and how i play lately and i guess i am ready for the next stepp. ( Nl50)
I will mainly play Nl25 a bit longer though since university exams are comming up now and i dont wanna make my learning motivation suffer from a possible NL50 Downswing.

you know it can affect your mood greatly when taking a shot at a new limit and then experiencing a DS.

I am not 100% sure if it is bad turn for other reason than the possibilty of 77 or 88 killing me here.

I am preflop agressor and hit a pretty good hand on the flop -> FD + Gutshot + Overcard . I bet and get a small reraise that i call
since i have many outs. Turn gives me a J which leads to having FD + Gutshot + maybe trips and 2 pair outs ... quite a good hand and so i called his small raise positive one of my outs will hit -> maybe pushing here was an option
River was kinda hard ... but i guess i cant fold here ... especially given the action on the table in eariler hands ...

I was laughing my ass of in river only to get beaten in the face ^^ i deserved it.

SO i took a gamble ^^

he played insanely bad ... but always got the nutz vs me ...
first 3 hands when i sat down at the table he gave me action like there is no tmorrow and i folded overpairs on turn push and stuff.
Then i thought i must take a stand .. he cant have nutz always !
I was wrong since he always had the nutz the whole session the whole time i played vs him.
