unraised pot, blinds 1/3 like 6 people see the flop which was A48. it checks around to player 1 who bets very weak, 2bbs, 1/3 of the pot, player 2 calls. turn x, check check. river 7, player 2 leads for pot, about 30. player 1 announces raise, making it 80 to go. players 2 ponders for a moment and reraises to 250, player 1 quickly goes all in for around 450, player 2 snap calls. player one then proceeds to slam his cards on the table with a smile from ear to ear exposing his A4. player two turns over 56 for the nuts lol.
the play is just so, so bad in these games. it's just too boring playing 30 hands per hour. i wonder if they'll let me bring my laptop to the casino so i can multi-table?
Well today has been quite interesting. And no, I don't have pics of a 45k porsche in here... I don't even have pics of the new car cause I have to pick it up tomorrow. It's only a saturn and I'm buying it cause my Rodeo's engine exploded.
Woke up @ 12:30 after staying up late playing NL200 and learning a LOT. Started the night spewing left and right but made it all back once I figured out what I was doing wrong and got a bit more disciplined with myself. From home I took my GF to the office so she could get some work done while I went and made the deposit on our new apartment. We've spent the last 14 days hunting for a place and we finally found a great 2 bedroom, 2 story with a basement townhouse for $625, and walking distance from our office, a movie theatre, and lot's of good restaurants. Bigtime score.
But the vexing part of the day was any moment in the car, as about 3 days ago it started making a rattling noise... which became louder and quicker and more annoying. I was hoping that the axel which we'd neglected to fix was just being more noisy than usual, but I was pretty sure that I was facing a loose rod in the engine. I've faced that problem before as all my previous cars were bought as cheap as I could get em, mostly off of craigs list, and I managed to run them all into the ground.
Got it into the shop yesterday and my worst fears were confirmed, so last night we hunted for a new car and found the saturn since we definitely weren't throwing anymore money into fixing this piece of shit. All day today was like driving around a time bomb and the ticking was audible to anyone within 100 ft of the car, as the rod kept banging away faster and faster the longer I drove. I began throwing it into neutral anytime I had enough speed going, and especially when going down a hill. I just wanted the car to survive one more day.
I got the deposit done, picked up the GF and we headed out the dealership. Luckily we made it there and worked out a nice deal for the new car. But it wasn't ready as they still had to detail it, so they told us to come pick it up tomorrow afternoon. We got back into the Rodeo and hoped it could survive the 15 minute drive back to the house... and of course it didn't. Right when we got halfway between the house and the dealership the car died on us... on the highway of course. Luckily there wasn't any smoke or flames (like I had on one of my last cars) so I just pulled it to the side of the road. We called AAA and were told we'd have a 2 hour wait for a tow truck... so we got some food, then got lucky and they actually came after 1 hour.
Home now and tired. Not really feeling poker right now though I definitely need to play and get that extra cash flow going to cover all these fun new expenses. I'm really happy to have a new car though, cause I've never had anything with any sort of warranty or less than 100,000 miles on it. It will be a good feeling to know the car is gonna start and isn't going to break down, and if it DOES, I won't have to pay for the fucking repairs.
The new apartment will be sweet also. Feb 1st we move in. Biggest problem is that we're not rolling deep in money and don't have that much stuff to move into the place. Hopefully I can earn enough FPP to get a TV off of PS. We're basically gonna have to slowly furnish the place as time goes on. We do have a bed and a table for the computer, and that's all that matters, right?
Yeah just stopped playing but I barely can believe I'm only down 1k today, I guess that is a satisfaction in itself. Everything turned out wrong in every imaginable way, can't say I played perfect especially at the beginning of the session. Overall I'm down around 3k from my high point being 41.2k so now I'm at 38.3k but I should be able to make it back playing all week-end long. To be honest I'm rather pissed at the result of it but at least I'm able to keep rambling. I've got a few hand I'm not sure how should I have played and I will post them in hand section later but for most hands they played by themselves.

i tell myself i better take a break and focus on my studies, but all the pretentiousness and inanity i have to deal with while studying business and attending business gatherings is causing major life tilt.
i'm in this really tough class where you basically compete for one of 150 internship/job placement. you have to wear business casual to class and the company receptions EVERY FUCKING NIGHT and talk to business representatives from big big companies about shit you don't really care about. you'll hear many repetitions of "hello" "it's a pleasure to meet you" "my name is blah blah blah" and overused business-speak like "teamwork" "implement" "synergy" . you're forced to pretend you give a shit about their company and ask stupid forced questions during your pseudo-conversations.
i skipped two of the business receptions already but i went to all my classes, which i kind of decided to do at the beginning of the semester. talk about some massive discipline.
oh tonight i signed in for the reception but snuck out early (ship it bitches hahaha).
it sucks that this class/internship my last way to make something out of college.

So I decided to start a blog on here, mainly for my benefit, I think it may help me keep track of how I'm improving and how much I make/lose in the long run as I cannot for the life of me figure out PokerTracker.
So last night I came 4th in a local LIVE 100 person MTT, pretty bad result as I went to the final table with a chiplead, I'm on the button with ATs, SB folds and BB pushes all in, if I call I have about 15% of my stack left. I call and he flips over A9o, so I'm pretty happy thinking I'm going to be sitting pretty when I take this guy out, flop comes 994, rest are blanks and I'm left with a shortstack.
Next hand I'm dealt QKs and I shove, only one caller who shows A8o this time and the whole board are blanks until the river where an ace comes.
Overall, I think I did ok, I caught plenty of cards all night and can't wait til I run like that online and can hopefully take a fair bit of money.
Tuesday night I came 6th at the local tournament so I suppose I'm improving
BTW - I'm a low limit player, only about $80 in my Bankroll on stars (username - xghjase), I play SNGs, ring just isnt for me. I've been crushing the $1 18mans and 45mans, so hopefully I'll be able to move up to the 4/180s and the 5sngs shortly!

haha ok so it was my gf 21st last night, and my friends got me super drunk so i'd give an embarassing speech. these are friends that all of LP community would be familiar with: Kantoiki (Alan), Karma (Luke) and Pushing4Anal (Justeen). idk if my speech was embarassing or not, but i know i ended up kinda giving 2 speeches because the aforementioned faggots wanted a special mention...so i was all like "holla to the LP BALLAS" or something gay and embarassing like that, and I guess I meant those guys, but since I said LP, that kinda includes anyone reading this.
so yeah I just kinda woke up at kantoikis house an hour ago, felt like shit and decided I was sober enough to drive home. that thought of soberness was killed as soon as I sat down behind the wheel, I kinda had trouble putting the car was in reverse, but whatever I just focused and pulled through that shit, drove with focus and stuff and here i am in one piece. thank god for no cops, that'd be a fucking massive beat.
some random funny things about last night, I can't remember much but I remember getting my gf's brother smashed (or maybe I didn't :s), but either way he was her ticket home, so that's pretty lol. afterwards at like 3am I was hungry so I shipped some meat pies from 7/11, they were tasty except one had like this gay cheese flavor that didn't agree with my taste buds, but whatever i was drunk i'll accept anything. I got some really weird glowy green shit all over my hand, idk what it could be but it probably involves something really embarassing so whatever, i'll find out about it later.

So ive been really sick for the past 2 weeks and havent been doing anything poker related. Now that I am feeling better I am gonna start getting back in the swing of things. I never did follow up with those interested in staking me for mtts, so please ship me a PM and well organize everything.
I am currently seeking out a stake(s) for mtts. I will only play 55$+ freezeouts and any rebuys (i.e satellites for larger mtts). I have a few people interested, but am still looking at all options. My site usernames are readmyline for full tilt, and sooon2b for pokerstars. You may wonder why I am looking for a stake. The reason is that I really believe my tournament game is incredibly strong, but due to my real life expenses, I can not afford to play MSNL and mid-high stakes mtts. The bankroll fluctuations also become way too stressful. I have done very well for my past backers (netting them nearly 90k). If you are interested, shoot me a PM and ill get back to you. As far as other things, not much has happened. Someone logged into my secret FTP account at the house here and busted it. Wasnt too much, about 1k, but needless to say, I am furious. Thank god they didnt get into my other accounts with much more money. I still dont know who did it, but I am extremely pissed. My new macbook screen is now broken and unusable due to my clumsiness while trying to move into the fraternity house, so I am a bit pissed about that as well. I have just started the new semester, and decided to change my major again, to business management this time. I feel that is much more sensible for me personally if I intend on looking into some business ventures. I still dont really plan on working for anyone however.
drop to $90 this morning, played like 14 or so games and only cashed 3rd in one of them. most of my eliminations were complete suck outs, especially things like AK v A6 or people going all in with inside straight draws and hitting. oh, and losing every coin flip and missing like 80% of my draws, which made me donk off some more chips in situations where i shouldn't have. blah, i'm gonna stop for now before i hit the curb.

Been doing very well this month up till about 2 days ago. I had 3 bad sessions in a row playing 3/6 6max and i did a lot of thinking/work on why i was playing bad. A lot of it was running bad but i definitely was not playing my best. I had about an 8 buyin downswing over the course of 3-4k hands, so i went through all the pots over 30bb i played and looked through PT to find some errors and i think i corrected most of them. So far ive won 5 buyins back and im going to play till i win about 5 more buyins before moving back into higher 6max games. Anyway, here are the pt stats for january so far:
Its not listed because its at the bottom, but ive started tinkering around at 2/4 hu. i really want to improve my hu game so im going to start at 2/4 and work my way up after i win about 20-30 buyins at each level. ive never really spent any time working on it and i believe being a good hu player is the key to moving past 10/20 and 25/50. ill probably spent some time watching all the hu videos on CR and going through sessions of hands to see how the game flow is going.
Outside of poker there are 2 new possible loves in my life. Hi, I am d.Apollo, a professional gamer. I have been playing poker randomly for the last few months, on and off, on and off and now I want to really knuckle down and start to actually improve my game through the different stages of poker. I have been up to a br of $300 playing at 10nl but because I am not consistent enough, I lose quite often but now I am trying to play properly from here.
Today I started playing at 2nl on pokerstars with a $50br, the session went well, played around 300hands and ended up just in the green with ups and downs from different situations where I probably played bad and also had some people lucking out on me.
I think my biggest problems are 1. My ego from being a gamer and 2. Tilting issues, so if you guys have any advice on those things anything is appreciated. I will upload my stats from the 300hand session this morning as well. I normally 3table 2nl because I get quite bored playing 1or2tables not sure if this is a weakness or just normal behavior. If any1 is on the same levels, 2nl,5nl,10nl id be happy to add on msn for conversations and such because that is another thing I am missing out on, poker buddies!

I'm wondering if its better to start playing on Pokerstars... Right now I'm playing on CDPoker, i'm currently at around 70$(started with 50$ a few days ago) and i'm not too happy with the interface. Its not allways easy to see whats going on at the table with the colors so messed up. Im doing fine tho.
I got that bonus and i wont be able to do anything with the money until i collect like 12000 points. I think now i have ~130 and I've played alot these 5 days. I dont know if i'll have that much patience, especially with everyone talking so much good stuff about PS.
