I WON A MTT!!! by nolan, January 23

ROFL.

Those wily Czech devil-worshippers Pulda and Joe convinced me to play a $44 6max MTT with them. It might be like the 10th MTT I've ever played in my life.

Greatttt Successsssss.

http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/6791/lololololax8.jpg

Edit:

Also figure I should throw in here that upon further review I think I will be chasing Supernova Elite.

Let's hope this post doesn't incite an epic downswing

Moving up limits ^ ^ by OrcsAreSexy, January 23

Feels good, after a nice morning of completely cleaning out some scrub with a bad temper's bankroll I have reached my goal for NL5 and will now be moving up to NL10, I hope 23buy-ins will be enough cause I really don't want to move back down to NL5, those people are crazy bad luck boxes. Onwards and upwards, hopefully this won't be my last stop.

50/100nl by devddd, January 23

Had a session tonight where i wanted to play tight and 2 tables for 1 hr.

I made 2 bad decisions in 2 hands and ended up down $100. I then had to grind for the next 3 hours, and play well, and finished up +$200.

AA - I thought he may have QQ KK, and also have a set... Proved he had a slightly dangerous hand.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=368260

Here I put him on a steal. This was the 2nd mistake i made. I am pretty annoyed he hit 2 out. I should have probably folded the river. I didn't feel ahead on the river.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=368261

J9 - Middle pair and flush draw. This guy was a bit fishy. I didnt think he'd have AK. I am pretty much calling here anyways.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=368262

33 - limp, flop quads. great turn. paid off.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=368265

77 - interesting call. i just felt like it could be good.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=368263

AJ - I didn't want things to get this big. I wanted to keep the pot smallish. He fires 2 bullest from BB.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=368264

Overall i saw 1929 hands, the results below. I won a fair bit with AKo and AKs, and the wins were pretty standard, nothing majorly interesting...
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/cee03ff2a5c47aacd3ddc0865c72a9cd.jpg

Without the 2 bad plays I made, I'd be up $150 more & wouldn't have had to play as long. The session was dry for about 1.5 hrs 800 hands, and i got no action / hands.

I played a day time session earlier for +$54 in 52 mins.
So $250 up for day is good.

Looking forward to rake back.
Gonna have a break now, not going to play for a while as i have no bonus to clear.

Take care / good luck and let me know what u think. pce.

down again, lol by DustySwedeDude, January 23

Ok, so my month has been me grinding NL200, move up to NL400 with 25 bi and then go on a 5bi downswing. This shit has happened 3 times now, and today was really bad (actually few few extra bi's down since I managed to get stacked on 3 tables at the same time before I quit). I havn't tilted in a while but I really felt that I got really angry in the end. I've counted to 4 gutshot that hit in big pots, my biggest 3/4 of my biggest losers today are sets and I managed to pretty much fuck up each and every situation.

I pretty much hate this and I guess I'll have to grind it back again, this sucks.

Hi there! by Ezekiell, January 23

Hi everyone!

I'm lurking here for a while, but now i decided to make this blog to introduce myself, tell boring stories, and whine about beats and shit obv Let's begin with the introduction first:
I'm a 4th year university student in Hungary (the capital city is Budapest, not Bukarest ^^ If you saw the video, u know what im talking about ). I live with 2 friends of mine. I have a girlfriend for 6 months now, she's quite pretty With enough comments and advices, i will post pictures of her I dont have a dog, a sister, or anything like that, so the family issue closed i guess. /Oh, and sory for my grammar, i know i suck /

Pokerwise: i'm playing poker for 5 months, but i started seriously only this month. I had 50 dollars on UB on january 1st, now i've got 500, so my first milestone is reached. I have to databases, unfortunately one of them had been deleted (ty Windows, i love u), so here are the stats about my last week:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/29d2f76ea3e46584513ff2913e1ddf59.jpg

And here is the graph:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/6dacabaa59f9d6b7dadeda8192c7bdd6.jpg

I play a nitty style, but i guess it's ok, with these completely retarded lagtards and 5/4/3 nits, i can have only a little variance, and still a nice winrate. I 9-table 10NL, and as you can see, a started to take shots at 25NL. I don't find it much harder than 10NL, obv with only 6 tables.

And here it comes: advice-time! I use pahud only for 3 days now, and i have some questions about it:
- when i start a new table, only a few player's stats are displayed. If i close pahud, and restart it, it displays everybody's stats. Any other way to do this?
- if a new player comes, i have to restart it to see the stats, even if i have a 700 hands sample size of the dude. Other way?
- And ofc here comes the fish-question: could somebody explain the stats? I mean, i know what they are, i know what lagtard an so on means, but if u could get a detailed explanation (the types of the people, their stat range, and the basics about playing against them), that would be very useful. I know the fundamentals, but any kind of help is warmly welcomed.

I'm planning to switch sites, for two reasons:
- the traffic is low on UB, table selection is completely impossible.
- i can't get rakeback here

Any suggestions? Where to go, why? I plan to play regularly from 7 AM to 13 PM (LP time). The really important things are: deposit bonus (it can't hurt ), good traffic, not-to-shitty software, and rakeback, if it's possible /yeah, fpp's are good, but rakeback is better at these stakes, isn't it?/ FTP is out of question, i have a small /70 bucks/ bankroll there too.

Thanks for reading this, i hope i can get some answers to my questions, gl all!

1000 hands down! Report by OrcsAreSexy, January 23

Just finished my first 1000 hand session. Finished up on a bit of a resurgence from a pretty deep down swing. Still down about 3buy-ins overall, but could have been a lot worse. Below are my stats for the session.

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 1000 hands and saw flop:
- 127 out of 208 times while in big blind (61%)
- 54 out of 210 times while in small blind (25%)
- 102 out of 582 times in other positions (17%)
- a total of 283 out of 1000 (28%)
Pots won at showdown - 43 of 90 (47%)
Pots won without showdown - 174

If anyone could give me some advice based on stats please do so.

crazy ass session by whamm!, January 23

ppl were so aggro at fr today i was getting really exhausted with all the action going on all tables. flopped mostly a x x boards and most of my cbets were kinda floated and ppl know that im reraising lp with a wide range of course so it was really an upsetting session for me even though i was up a little. abc poker is not profitable here at all. i dont think i can make 3 to 4bi without lucksacking my way to it. so now im pretty upset with my play in general this session. i think ill cut down 4 tables and just 20 table tomorrow, and if it still doesnt work out, ill just drop to 18minimum. generally i felt that ppl were mostly playing back at my weakness coz i really dont believe they had a hand there, it just sux when you're playing fr and you don't want to be told "fold that. it's FR." lol
BR = 4200ish. goals for january = reach 6k then thinking about playing 2 sites 100nl (6max) each with rakeback. coz im getting a little tired of just grinding microstakes and nittying up too much.

update: just played 25nl and won almost 4bi in 500hands. ez monies lol
im still very upset with my 50nl play though, i will really try to improve on that starting tomorrow.
1st session up like a buyin 50nl half at 25nl
2nd session tracker is here:

Runnin' hot duggu duggu hot duggu. by TheHuHu, January 23

I have been having some hot sessions at NL50 and I will be at NL100 in no time. Even after cashing out $300 at $1450 earlier today (which ePassporte raped me and took like $40~ for the withdrawl) I opened up eight tables and I am back up to $1560~ after being at $1150 today. Does anyone have any tips for NL100? I am going to take a shot at 18-20 buyins and drop down if I lose three buy-ins. Any tips are greatly appreciated!

Now watch this hot video! .

Cake Poker by JohnnyBologna, January 23

Made my first deposit today on cake poker and I must say I am really loving the site.

I think starting a brand new roll on a new site is about the equivalent of making a new character for a game. I guess I just like the idea of starting a fresh grind from a new site/environment. I play a lot lower stakes than what I normally do, so its like I'm already really experienced as I already doubled my initial bankroll of $500 and can just free-roll my way up. It's a lot less stressful and is kind of fun for me.

I'm also getting 33% rakeback and other little bonuses through the site which is really nice. The software itself is just awesome. Its lag-free and just as fast paced as UB.

***Big Pluses***

I am not really a numbers person and laughed when all the programs like HUD and PT came out and never really liked them. I didn't know about this until I read it off the site but Cake poker doesn't allow these programs and allows you to change your screen name every 7 days, totally awesome.

They rally 'round the family by CrownRoyal, January 22

I'm sickly depressed.

I have nothing in my life that I want right now and it's really killing me.

if anyone can help me with

-being semi-rejected by the girl you want
-not being successful
-not having money
-not having any idea what the fuck you are doing with your life

I sure could use a lot of help.
