NL10 is such a weird experience. The max I can win is 3 buy ins before I drop down to about -2 buy ins... then I'll start making it back but once I hit 3 buy ins everything goes haywire. Bad beats are part of it but I still think regular play should make up enough profit to cushion the impact of the bad beats. I've posted the stats for my last 5K hands (after I started playing a little more loosely PF. Trying to hover around 14/10). Anything badly wrong?
So... I'm not sure what I should do now. Right now I have nothing except this website and Pokertracker to help me. Are there other things I should start looking at like PAHUD or training videos and stuff? Or is NL10 too early for that?
I'm not playing great, playing a bunch of fish and winning but only marginally lol. Gonna take today off, enjoy myself.. Catch up with Lost (watched series 1-3 in the last 2 weeks now on episode 4 of series 4 and it's pretty good)
Just thought I'd update for everyone thats interested
Going to the states on wednesday gotta sign the deeds for some property I'm buying out there, it's such a steal that I couldn't not buy it and my uncles gonna look after it for me. Does anyone know where you can play poker in minnesota - minneapolis? Hopefully will get back and have some 10 hour sessions or something thats what i'm in need of lol.
Posted this hand but it didn't get enough love so posting it again

Texas Hold'em $6-$12 NL (real money), hand #P4-65310169-25
Table Bismarck, 13 Apr 2008 8:38 AM ET
Wowsa, I am running like a god and putting in major hours. After last month's 130k takings I wasn't sure I'd ever hit 100k in a month ever again and I've already achieved it by April 13. Really dreading not running like a god :D
I've put in over 85 hours of HU already this month... most at 5/10 and 10/20.
I need to study, exam tomorrow at 3:30 and I'm basically going in trying to learn 13 weeks of material (its cumulative, bad beat)
I need to like, get 60% or something to pass. Help me stay focused. Ideas/whatever?
Looking for a small stake. I play mostly small stakes PLO and HU PLO SNGS. I've had success in many small non-hold em tournaments as well. I've recently had little cash flow for poker due to the fact that almost all money has been going towards my wedding which is later next month. I currently play under the name Rxd Rxxf, but have played under my old name of bandr110 recently to use old FPP's for satellites, then unregister and try to run the money up and cash out. I unfortunately don't have any cash stats since I don't have PT, but you can see my HU SNG stats below. If you have any interest or further questions about anything please feel free to PM me or post below. I really enjoy playing and would really like to continue earning money while planning for the wedding.
Have been unbelievably soft and totally awesome the last couple days. Thank you to PS for the reload bonus. I hope everyone's last few days have been as donk-filled as mine. Let's all pray to the poker Gods and hope this continues for the rest of the week.
Need $50 of moneybookers. Willing to give $55 of PS or FTP. Looking for helpful trustworthy person to make the trade with. I ll send first.
Basically I want to withdraw some $ FTP using Moneybookers but FTP being the 'great' site that it is, doesnt allow me to unless I first deposit into FTP using MB.
I cant withdraw from PS into MB myself because I want to take advantage of that reload PS bonus.
Hi all,
It's been awhile since my last blog post, over 2 months actually.
The reason behind this is that in the beginning of February I was forced to cash out my entire bankroll of over $1000 to pay off some outstanding debts
Thats all cleared now tho and Ive finally gotten a hold of some cash to once again start grinding.
So before the cashout I was playing mostly NL50 FR, with some 6-max thrown in. Yesterday I deposited $400 on FTP, with the intention of getting the 100% deposit bonus, as well as a free 6-month subscription to LeggoPoker (thru PocketFives). So with this bankroll, Ive decided to start off at NL25 FR.
So I've set myself a goal of reaching my old limit of NL50, and clearing the deposit bonus, by the end of April. Over a small sample of hands last night, I ascertained that I can clear around $10 of the deposit bonus for every 1000 hands. So Im thinking I should be able to clear the bonus in around 40,000 hands. With around 18 days in April left, this works out to around 2250 hands per day (around 3 hours 9-tabling). To move up to NL50 at the beginning of May, I want to have a bankroll of $1200. So to reach this bankroll, I will have to run at 2.5PTBB/100 (5BB/100) over the 40,000 hands. ($400 deposit + $400 bonus + $400 winnings). I think this is achievable, since it is full ring (low variance), and 40k hands is a reasonable sample size to avoid swings.
I'll try to update frequently throughout the challenge, maybe weekly, to get advice on hands and keep any readers up-to-date.
Wish me luck!
LilDeano99
ok so as i said the playing poker break continues but the poker learning time is on.
i found quite a few blogs of hu sng players from different stakes, start to analysing my game, reading the 2+2 forum hu section and stuff....
... and the only thing i can say so far is that: i have no clue about hu sng.
yeah i played about 4k games, reached in some point 33 sng at ongame, crushed people on 10 $ hu on stars 2 and 4 man, people take my advices on how to play hu sng but i still dont know shit about it. during reading some blogs i faced so many aspects of the game i didnt know about that now i realized how many leaks are in my game and that i have to fix this shit or my hu sng adventure will look still the same (busto and busto).
so if anyone can give me some advices, place some links to interesting blogs, point out some interesting articles and stuff about hu sng - would appreciate it a lot. when i finally crush 110's and 230's i will buy u a beer or we can work out a little Jack Daniels 0,7
thinking about watching some videos also, but ive read that neither cardrunners nor stoxpoker got many videos on hu sng so i think about it. any advices??
still colecting money to deposit the big roll but its gonna be harder since im quitting a job next tuesday and i just cant help myself going out twice a week to a party. no discipline ; ) but i guess it pays off, i met nice chick week ago, will see how will it develop...
so thats all now, im still learning to exams and working a lot on improving my game.
btw. i ve seen wsop main event 2007 once again and dont you think kenny tran is gonna be a huge star in years to come?? i especially liked that scene with kenny tran, jerry yang and daniel alei - "nothing funny"??? hilarious
edit: wtf i posted the movie in window, and after i edited the post the movie dissapeared so i had to place just a link to you tube
anybody know how to fix it??

So i have been running well, but i hate my play the last 3k hands. I have been calling down fish with mediocre hands far too much and not betting when i should be.
If i just play about 1500 hands a day for the rest of the month, easy win!
So while sessioning today I stumbled on a table where something jumped out at me right away...
http://premium1.uploadit.org/IAElitesquad//khanPSavatar.jpg What a super celeb eh... and such an intimidating avatar!
I wonder if it's an LP guy or if there is some random fish out there who's favorite player is Rainkhan... lol. I've seen Negreanu, Antonius, Ferguson, Brunson, and moneymaker avatars before, but never Rainkhan.
Anyway, I broke the Friday night curse yesterday... see, for ages I always rush home to my computer on Friday/Saturday night thinking "Omg all the drunk fish this will be mad crazy money ez rite?" and then a few hours later I've played thousands of hands and am down like 2-4 buyins. I never have a winning night on the weekends. I think there have been 3 big reasons as to why this happens to me:
1) There's so many loose tables that I get greedy and instead of sticking to 4 I wanna play them all and end up doing 8-12 and then playing worse poker cause I'm not paying as much attention.
2) Since I'm playing so many tables I fail to properly adjust my game for the fish and just keep playing like I normally would, which is bad cause super loose drunk fish are either over aggro or insanely stationy. Bluffing them is a very bad idea and I end up doing stupid 2nd barrells and so on.
3) And obviously I just run bad. Duh. =)
But last night was different! I spent some time getting my focus set before I played, then forced myself to stick to 4 tables and play my best game. It worked out as I stacked several fish really quick and took in 3 buyins and called it a night, went and ate food and watched TV with the GF. They were showing an oldschool black and white version of "Great Expectations" on PBS that we stumbled on while channel surfing and we watched that. After that was over we watched some "Parental Control" on MTV which is ONLY fun to do when you have someone with you who you can complain to - I like to bitch about how fucking FAKE it is. I swear they are all actors. It's all scripted. It's the fakest reality show ever. I hate it with all my heart, but for some reason still watch it. I'm such an american.
Had another session today that went pretty well. Things didn't click for most of the session but I avoided any serious losses, folded a couple solid hands like TpGk and the guy showed AA, so I was happy with my play. Here's my results since my last blog post:
So things are going well. At about $2,185 right now. I feel like I will take a shot @ NL100 when I hit about $2,500. If it goes well I'll stay up there, if it goes bad I'll go back to NL50 and try again when I get back to 2.5k, and if it goes horrible I'll just play NL50 till 3k.
That is all. You may leave now, but leave a comment on your way out. ^^
Ok, a little history first: Started playing poker in September 2006, but never took it seriously, made constant profit, but never really got over NL50, because I made constant cashouts.
Maybe I will be getting a little bit deeper in this later.
Since last semester I hardly played any poker, didn't have much time, I am studying mechanical engineering which is time consuming. And if I would occasionally play the game, I would be tilted very fast.
So poker was not any fun for me at that time. During the vacation time I had a part time job in order to earn money, it was in a steel factory. This was the most fucking, dirty and tough labor you can think about. I felt like I was dying there. From the first minute on (I started 6 am in the morning) I just waited for end of the working day. Enough said. That was motivation to hit the tables again. With a new motivation and fresh concept (Only making +EV plays) I was killing NL25 very fast (my BR at that moment: $736).
I had two exams, in Technical mechanics and maths, and after that about 10 days off, which I used to play poker, I basically was playing 10 tables of NL50, doing quite well.
After about 4 days, I felt like playing NL100, which was beautiful, watch this:
4 days of playing NL100_FR:

With an openended straight + flush draw, this is an easy raise in my opinion, even in a 3 way pot. I am over 50% against AQ or AA or something similar, consider how often he is folding because he is simply c-bet-bluffing or has something like TT or JJ, adding fold equity.
He reraises us, with that much money invested, all the money goes in and he ended up semi-bluffing himself with AKs which is bad for my equity because it takes away all my flush outs. Well, I ended up losing the pot.

limp-raising... yeah, it often means aces, but i thought maybe the fish is tilting since the regs pounded on him rentlessly, so i couldn't fold QQ here. fuck
Not much to say here. A shortstack donk limp-raises me with AA, I know that often limp-raising means AA, but the regs at the table where pounding on him, so I thought he might be tilted, I also have seen the fish doing this with random other hands.

I outplayed this donkey totally, but he sucked out on river. He could have his cards face up, that's how I read him. Giving me great odds to
a) see a flop
b) draw to a wheel
when the money goes in, I am ahead of his top set, but he boats up, I lose again, so this sucks.
I was also able to win a few hands, but they were not so interesting, only maybe this one:

How not to play A9 on a drawy board. Got what he deserved.
So quite bad, but I didn't tilt and tried to play my best although running bad. Let's see what the future brings. Unfortunately University starts again at monday and I won't have much time to hit the tables.
Ya i havent made a blog update for a reason, i didnt get to play any poker since feb. 29th... Long story short me and the girlfriend were very serious. We started having issues end of feburary, and were living together and about 2 weeks later we broke up. So i've had to spend the last lil over a month figuring out whats next in my life.
when you have a girlfriend its fine to do work/school/poker/her but once u take her out god did i realize how unconnected to society i was so i went and got a job serving at UNO's bar and grill w/ no experience which was cool, been getting my mind clear, doing a lot of surfing( theres nothing better then being out in the atlantic and watching the sun come up over a nice set) and getting back in touch w/ the friends.
I finally feel my mind is clear and i can really focus on some poker in my down time. I was previously afraid to play cus when you cant focus 100% on poker and ur mind wanders... which usually causes ur money to wander, usually away from u lol. So I'll start blogging my progress gunna jump right back to 4-8 tabling 6max 25NL was having great success there so hopefully a month 1/2 lull of no poker doesnt affect my game. I have finals coming up in the next 2weeks so i dont know how much ima play but it'll definately be increasing as soon as that ends.
next update will hopefully be a graph in the green
my plan was to concern my self with theoretical poker stuff after i woke up and then proceed to do a 3-4 h session
but i couldnt play for the most part of the day cause i had to help my dad with work in the afternoon ...
so i just played 1h 15 minutes and now i have to learn university stuff Results
sb VPIP is only that high , cause NIT ppl fold blind battle like 85% of the time.
Also on 3 tables the ultimate mega fish Angel0Killer had position on me.
He is 9/3/2 over 2,3 K hands and has 72% fold to C-bet
i raise any 2 sb vs bb here and never got repopped so far.
This guy really is insane bad player
I played 2 hands particularly bad which made me lose 30$ that i easily could have avoided
I will anylyze the missplayed hands tomorrow morning.
besides that 2 hands i think i played very good
I also did an intensive review of ~ 20 hands of yesterdays horror session which took my a bit more than 1 hour.
i came to the conclusion that i run worse yesterday than it first seemed and that i played many hands good and only a few very bad
I run at least 200$ worse than my equity was when i got in money.
So here are the Nl50 results of the last days
Session 1 - 283 in 900 hands
Session 2 + 139 in 500 hands
Session 3 + 302 in 750 hands
Session 4 - 224 in 1,800 hands
Session 5 + 70 in 450 hands
this is just a rant. i beat 25nl and 100nl. but 50nl FR is just fucking rigged against me i swear. i can't even get a winning ptbb here for over 80 to 100k hands prolly. i just never run good here. and mostly this is coolers and just sick, sick suckouts. i cant fucking ignore this over a large sample. i know i have huge leaks but running good at this stupid limit is just simply impossible for me. now i tried to rebuild and i think ive lost over 1kusd at this limit and just keep rebuilding at 25nl. bah. i think ill just / wrists now lol
roll shouldve been at least 2500 by now but every fucking time i take my next shot to 50nl this happens, just every fucking time. 6max i have no problem, but this FR shit at 50nl arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh. fuck you pokerstars. end
