Who let the dogs out? by vegable, June 14

Because they're dropping shit bombs all over my bankroll and I'm not feeling too happy. Man I was doing fine last week and in the past few days I've really hit the wall...

See I keep a tally of all my tilt moves on a post it. If I tilt, I record a strike and the amount I put into the pot due to tilt, NOT how much i lost. So heres my list by date / strikes / amount. I play NL50

5-24 / 2 / 80
5-25 / 1 / 19
5-26 / 1 / 25
5-27 / 2 / 31
5-28 / 1 / 25
5-30 / 4 / 41
6-1 / 4 / 96
6-2 / 1
6-4 / 1
6-6 / 5 / 204
6-8 / 2 / 27
6-9 / 1 / 3
6-11 / 4 / 100
6-12 / 6 / 150
6-13 / 5 / 350??? ONE TRILLION??? kalsdasd

So in total that adds up to 1000+ worth of tilt money in 3 weeks. Imagine that!!!

been doing stupid shit again like taking fancy lines trying to push people off hands, all in bluff shoving without logic, you know. all those bad habits flooding in again. So not good...it could be because I'm forcing myself to play too much poker for too long in a single day, for my personal standards. Guess I have to take it slow and steady like I have been before I made my last blogpost and play only when really comfortable and without pressure.

Worst session of my life. by TianYuan, June 14

12 hours of play (or so), down only 2k but it's SOOOOOOOOOOO TILTING, because I was fucking 178 $ away from breakeven 1 hour ago.

http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/571/asdfasdafasdafeb9.png

God, I haven't won a flip all day. Not preflop, not on the flop, not even if I'm dominating them preflop. Lost 2 flips at 5/10 (but also sucked out once so the 5/10 results were not very tilting, just super standard).. But this session.... GUDFHGUGH

I usually 4 table but.... tilt. 6-7 tables gogo - . - Probably played my B game (maybe C game towards the end) but also ran like dogshit.

Sad thing is I think my pokertracker managed to not import the last batch of losses (QQ vs AK vs a 30bb stack, he hits obv because I won 1 out of like 10 coinflips today!) 22 vs a shortstack I raised preflop, he calls, I cbet AQ3 flop he calls, I c/r AI on 2 turn, he has 333 gg me, as well as some other hand.. I dunno let's add 300 to the losses maybe).

I'm not even gonna post hands, I don't want to play poker ever again right now -.-
This hand describes my day best:

Did I mention he leaves like 1 orbit later?

From NL2/4 back to NL0.5/1 by hansen, June 13

So yesterday I cashed out my entire roll except $3000 for NL100!
I was rolled for NL1000 so this might seem like the most retarded thing ever to do but the truth is that im breakeven for 2008 on NL400+. After being a winner on these limits for almost 3 years (i think) i didnt have the motivation to keep pushing myself. For me its hard to grind without a goal and when i had 100+ buyins online for the limit i played.

To regain confidence, the understanding of moneys value etc and other crap i finally decided to rebuild my roll from 'scratch'. I need to quit fucking around. Obv i made the decision and cashed out while being drunk, great. Atleast it was better then moving up in limits and being the drunk degen on 50/100.

I will keep this blog updated as often as i can with my grind back to the higher midstakes
Wish me luck

Time zones by thestoryteller, June 13

I couldn't sleep so I got out of bed at about 4:30am and played an hour of poker. It was wonderful... I felt like I was finally playing at the NL10 everyone has been describing. I thought I had died and gone to NL5. I felt like a paedophile who owns the only candy store in town.

There were endless streams of dead money. There were so many fish it was impossible to find Nemo. Donks who called with bottom pair. Donks who called with air. Donks who simply didn't care. There was a guy who called raises with Axs and could never let go of top pair. Another guy called cbets because... well, because he wanted to see the turn. After which he'd call the turn because he wanted to see the river, and then he'd call a river bet because... well, what else do you do on the river? And when I've got KK and he's got J3o with a T8TJ4 board...

I left after an hour when the first Korean rose in the East (stats: 2.7/0). Almost 13ptbb/100. It's almost enough to make me wish I wasn't married.

normal day by PplusAD, June 13

+ 102.52 $ on NL 50 today

funny thing is i even run like 100$ below equity almost every session .... >-<
But i feel like with my current skill , built form detailed analyzing of Leggo NL100-Nl600 videos
that NL50 isnt even a challenge.
Its just a Goldmine , where u go in , take some money out and have a nice day ....

I will list the results of my NL50 6max sessions since 16th of May below ( i did not play every day so thats why this are way few session than days)

+ 187$
+ 47$
+ 85$
+ 34$
+ 112$
+ 79$
- 14$
+ 44$
- 153$
+ 114$
+ 121$
+ 76$
+ 56$
+ 59$
+ 92$
+ 87$
+ 147$
+ 57$
+ 102$

http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/7267/blahblahzt2.jpg

results are not 100% accurate in PT since there is 1 session missing

Well i guess i can savely assure that i am able to pull of at least ~ 60$ a day profit from Nl50 longterm
I am not sure if i shall just grind out 2 months till my BR hits like 4K and then try NL100 again.
or if i shall take a shot again at NL100 as soon as i hit 2,5K

well no idea yet.

1/2 so far by Royal_Rumble, June 13

A little summary of how 1/2 has been treating me:

+ Show Spoiler +

The graph:

+ Show Spoiler +

I cashed out $1500 last week, otherwise my roll would be 10k plus. As soon as I hit $10400 I will be taking shots at 2/4.
Considering my game I feel very confident with NL200 and I think I can beat with a decent winrate. At the beginning I had a dry streak with many bad beats. 3 Months ago I was playing NL25 lol.

I really prefer Fullring over 6max because I like to think that I understand positional play pretty well and there are more constellations on a full table than with 6 seats. Also don't I like playing out of the blinds, which you are doing 33% of your hands with on 6 max, but only like 22% on Fullring. Plus 6max tilts me very fast, might be the aggressive nature of the game.
Many claim that 6max requires more "skill" than Fullring but I doubt it, it's simply a different game, I chatted with Vital[myth] about and he said it only depends on which game you understand better.

Seems like I run a little bit above expectation with my all-in luck which is nice, but my EV graph is a winning one as well, so no hate here. Also am I winning a shitload of pots without showdown.
Personally I use PokerOffice which doesn't have PokerEV or something similar, but lachlan ran the numbers for me.

Studying is time intense at the moment, exams come closer and I probably won't be able to play as much poker as I'd like to, but that's life. During June and July I will only play enough hands to remain Platinum Star, but in August I will have some more time and grind more.

regards to PPlusAD, lachlan, bigbb33, rockman255 and Siro.

random youtube vid: music blows but there are cute girls and they play POKER, 5carddraw lol. They are British, didn't know they have so cute girls on the island.

Update by Yaffie, June 13

2nd year at university is OVER! Had my last exam on wednesday which went pretty well. I'm on a high 2:1 from last semester and coursework from the current semester, which I'm fairly pleased with. I should get my exam results within the month.

So I made myself a little goal of trying to make 1.5 buyins a day at NL10 over june. I knew I wouldnt be able to clock too many hands as I still had to work but I managed that quite easily and soon enough I hit $500 a few days ago. Sooooo I'm having my first pop at NL25 with this bankroll. Going good so far. Running at just over 5BB/100 over a small sample of hands.

It doesn't feel too different to NL10 - people seem to float cbets more often and are slightly more agressive but I feel like I've adjusted quite well and have a good feel for which players are capable of making any moves and which are just mashing the raise button when they hit. It still amazes me how many people slowplay monster hands - they could take so much more of my stack if they wanted

I'm moving back home to London on tuesday and should be able to play as much poker as I can stomach. I'd like to make silver status this month but it might be a bit late. We shall see

Oh also it's kinda funny playing LP members on PS (recognised by their avatars). They play SO much ABC poker at these stakes that they're easier to exploit than the fishes!

GL Y'all

The day of the match by piratematerial, June 13

So tonight its Netherlands vs France. I'm very impressed with Malouda and ofcourse Henry is a great player but i have faith in the dutch boys! Hopefully its going to be a game on fire. I'll be watching at a friends house with a bunch of people, she's celebrating her birthday, so i'll be having some beers and fun for sure tonight.

Poker went fine today. I got my game together the last couple of weeks - have no idea how my play became so messy, now that i'm putting all my attention to it i'm finding so many faults, it's embarassing - but my bankroll is recovering fast. Hope to be in the 1-2 games soon again. I'll have to monitor my edge very carefully though. I'm afraid to lose it again.

200nl FR, getting used to it. by purrryadog, June 13

Continued playing yesterday and things didn't get any better, it would have been the longest i have ever played running card dead.

Today was a different story. Played about 1000 hands at 200NL FR and finished up about $450.

I am finding everyone is really tight in FR as i was playing 100nl. I am still 3x betting light every now and then just to keep a higher vpip image than the rock regs. At the moment i still don't have tracker, and i think i really need to do something about that. I am just computer illiterate and lazy. So if someone can help me, that'd be sweet. It is just more of an advantage to run tracker and see who is 9/9 etc.

Any news on tracker for mac?

I went deep on all three tables with 500 on each. Didn't get any deep stack action which doesnt bother me, prob good not to get staked deep.

Played about 200 hands of 100PLO on 6 max for +$300. I ran really hot on the table.

The hands have been posted. I can't really be bothered posting them as most are standard. It was one of those days where everything went ok.

+$766.

I am going to watch the delayed telecast of the celtics and lakers with my dad, probably have a few beers and maybe catch up with some friends later tonight.

good luck.

Last week @ 50nl by Sloverville, June 12

LOL...

(also 100 hands at 100nl mixed in)

Fitted in 23 hours since last Friday. Finally started using HUD for the first time this week. I always refrained from using it in the past because it was just too much going on and i didnt like it. But i dropped from 9 to 6-tabling and the new HUD makes it much easier on the eyes. But it makes a world of difference as opposed to searching for an opponent on Poker Tracker 2 superfast whenever a huge pot is brewing, like i use to do. Will be playing at 100nl soon enough.

Best wishes this weekend.
