ghosting + update/plans for month by shaneomac, June 20

so i had that stupid 15+ BI downswing to start my month, which i came back from and was actually up money all in all @ one point, but due to playing bad the last 2 days, im about breakeven(down 100). compared to what it was i can live with it. i am kinda disinterested in playing FR right now for the most part, so i am thinking about learning HU or maybe razz and working @ those for the rest of the month. i want to expand my horizons as far as poker goes, and i wouldnt mind playing the big razz tourneys they got @ ftops and wcoop coming up. not ot mention i have sickass players to learn from...assuming he will stop being a total inconsiderate cunt. either way i will probly start watching some videos and play low limits where the money doesnt effect me so i can get better. i also wanna get into coaching sometime down the line, and also giving lessons helps me reconsider my game, so...

if anyone wants me to ghost em for a FR session sometime PM me and ill do it for someone sometime over the next 10 days. just leave me the limits ur playing and why u want it and ill choose like 1-3 ppl and maybe we can set something up if u wish.

WSOP Updates to Now by JonnyCosMo, June 20

Sorry for the lack of updates, WSOP has sucked!!! Well not totally... So far I've played 8 tournaments, and cashed in 3 of them. Got 55th in Event #13 for a $9,000 cash, then got 25th in a Venetian Deep stack tournament for a min-cash of $3,000. Then a few days ago, I played Event #31, the $2.5k 6-max tournament. I made it to day 2 easily, despite having one of the harder tables in the room on day 1. But day 2 was a total nightmare, as I lost half my stack when I hit my open-ended straight draw on the same card my opponent hit his backdoor nut flush, then lost the rest when my AK somehow didnt win vs QQ? How do I lose a flip? WTF? Thats not suppose to happen to me! I got 60th in that event for a $5,600 cash. So for the most part I've been pretty break even in tournaments with a few close calls to big time cashes. Overall, I expected the fields to be softer than they are. All the internet pros are out in full force, and you'd be surprised to see how many unfamiliar faces really know how to play the game.

Cash games had been going great for me the first week. I instantly won $16k (10k coming from a single day) at $10/20 live at the Wynn. The regulars were mostly deep stacked nut peddlers who avoided getting into big confrontations which was nice. I proceeded to lose $9k in one night, and every session after that has been break even until wednesday where I should have gotten up from the table when I saw it was probably getting too tough for me to play. I was sitting in the main game with one huge fish and a bunch of tight regulars for 2 hours and had been up close to 6k. Then the fish left and that seat was replaced by my roommate Dookie (plzlemmewin on FTP / GoGators86 on UB) who is fairly competent. Then one of the other bad / tight regulars leave and that seat was replaced by Lex (RaSZi), a few minutes later Victor (Nazgul) sits down and all of the sudden I realize this might not be the best of games. Especially since the feeder table had Rekrul, ElkY, teddy_wong, and GiYoM waiting to get into the main game. I somehow lost two 10k pots in a matter of 20 mins (got 2 outted in one, and somewhat coolered in the other although vs this certain player he was so tight that I might have been able to find a fold with KKd on a Td-9d-5c board in a 3 bet pot) and instantly found myself stuck 5k on the day. I finally decided to leave when RaSZi 3 bet the button and I (being the tilted fish that I am) decided to flat call his 3 bet from the big blind with AKss. RaSZi instantly turns to me and is like "Ace King huh?" Then he looks at his cards and starts guessing the suit of my hand, to which he instantly said "Ace King of spades?" as I sit there steaming my ass off. The flop comes down ten high and I just check/fold to him and leave. God sometimes I play so bad

Had a few good online sessions over here, and have been learning a lot about tournaments and heads-up play thanks to my roommates. For those of you who missed it: My roommate Johnny Neckar got 2nd in the $3k NLHE a few days ago for a $375k score (chopped with John Phan heads-up, and took away the bigger prize $). In true degen fashion, after 6 hours of heads-up play they agreed to shove all-in blind! Obv John Phan ran better in that and won, which sucked, but props to my roommate for kicking ass.

Anyways, right now I'm in Puerto Vallarta for a much needed vacation. Ill update my blog more in the up coming week. I promise! Ok later~

My name is Gladiator. by Sloverville, June 20

This week has been a GRIND at 50NL 6-max. Ran -2.1bb/100 below expectations all-in (-$355). Pretty fucking frustrating but i dealt with it ok. I tilted this week for the first time in a while and at times it wasnt pretty. Not tilting will be my main focus this next week.

Also played much differently this week. Too much flatting preflop and made the wrong plays vs the wrong players. Final numbers were 25/20 as opposed to the 22/19 i generally play. Oh well, learn and move forward.

Choppy Waters:

I am trying to get $500 off of Full Tilt. If anybody would like to trade for Stars, PM me.

Can't figure it out. by eightfourO, June 20

I can't figure it out on micro stakes. I've done good, moved up to 10nl, didn't like it, moved back down to 5nl, played decent, went back up, got killed again, went back down to 2nl, made 20 bucks putting my br up to 250, went back up to 5nl, and i was up a buy in, then i lost a buy in. I know that this isn't bad, only losing a buy in, but it just seems that i can't have a constant continuous winning streak. I started out 30 dollars and grinded 2nl until i made like 150, which to me was huge b/c i had never won before then, and it seemed like all i would do is log in and win. I can't do that anymore. And i WILL NOT say that the skill has gotten better. it's just idiots with more money than on 2nl.

I don't know. I was kinda on tilt but not really. More like just upset that i have been even for the last 2-3 weeks.
bleh

so i've seen ya'll do this number thing about aggresiveness... its like xx/x/x or soemthing like that?? whats that mean and where do i get it?? i have pt2 (its not on this computer so i would have to go home to get it)

i dunno :/

go Texas

Nothing fun about either of these. I keep bubbling into 4th instead of getting into top 3 money. Unlucky of late unfortunately. Small tournaments since the Omaha MTT's don't fill up too well but hopefully they will slowly get more popular.

Moving down for a while by Kapol, June 20

The downswing that struck me lately made me play bad and unmotivated me. I think I'm gonna play NL100 for a while to regain confidence (hopefully I'll be a successful move). Donno how much I'm gonna play there, most likely till I win $2k or so, which might take a little while, given how good I run and play ATM :/.
I know playing NL200 is more profitable and I am pretty confident that I am a winning player there (a marginal one, but still), but I just don't feel like playing these stakes now, so I don't see any reason to keep struggling.

Poker and some MMA by Fox, June 20

So someone was suggesting doing the 5400 fpp tournaments for the sunday million buyin. It's the greatest idea ever. It's fun to play and I've already placed in one, ship the 200$!

As for mma. This weekend is "bleh" I'm so pumped for affliction. I really want to make a post about the top 5 of each division and thoughts about potential matchups. That would be a long post but i'm very interested in doing it. Maybe before july 19th comes.

I'm attracted to a guy? by kantoiki, June 20

Okay so I watched a video my friend linked me and I'm just astounded....

Ignore the obvious homophobic judge, but that singer is alike to Britney Spears.... like just wow! haha it's like looking at spears in her prime again

Anyway been playing a lot more poker lately, however it more hands hasn't resulted in an increase in money made . In fact I think I'm down for the past few days.
I put in about 3000 hands 6-9 tabling 6max each day so maybe I'll cut down on tables and learn how to play instead of just clicking buttons randomly haha.

I'd post results and stats but I don't have pokertracker on my laptop and I haven't gotten an external case for the hdd in my old desktop yet.

Also rethought getting the Canon fs-100 and I'm going to get the Panasonic SDR-SW20 which is waterproof and shock proof which will be handier for using while on a snowboard and in the hands of my mentally retarded friends

http://www.cnet.com.au/camcorders/camcorders/0,239035915,339284845,00.htm

Anyway this video of a sick war between termites and ants is pretty good too:

They want to get rid of the termites so they put an army of ants to work to fight for them, innovative

And I'll leave you with this awesome performance of Amazing Grace by some true talent:

Time to go for a run, it's midnight retarded I know but exercise regardless of when it takes place is good right?
