April review
  Forrest Gump, May 08 2015

Since I dont have too many followers I was not very interested to blog this month, but I have to kill 20 minutes, so I'll do it to keep some records
This month I didnt make platinum with 6.4k vpp, becouse I had to work again as a professor (an 8hr/week job Im not interested to quit yet) in the university and started to see some satellite hypers (6 max, 2 prizes). Not enough sample yet to show a graph, so here it is the monthly Triple draw graph (this time in BB)

About other life's topics: I reached 57 Kg with a basic clean diet (see March review) from a downswing about 40 days ago when I was in 52 Kg. Still not recovered my previous strength and power but I feel a lot better (where the fuck all this weight goes?). Probably I'll go back to the gym next week after like 5 years without weights becouse I want to deadlift and make my quads sore with full back squats which I cant with any bodyweight exercise right now.
End of blogpost

Spin n go (bored numbers)
  Forrest Gump, Apr 27 2015

Cliffs:
-You dont need so much volume to see if regular spin n go suits your interest
-You may never hit the Spin n go 1M and you wont compensate that glory with all the wasted rake

Unlike MTTs where you have to win to realize your ROI at spin n go you need to play well your most frequent multipliers (usually the first 3 to 5) and look at your chip ev to see if you have some pontential. At usual spin n go with buy in $15 or more, lets say you never see other than the x2 multiplier. Then your rake will be 33%. Now, lets say you never see the x6+ multiplier but you see the x2 with usual frequency and the x4 instead of the other ones, then your rake as shown in the table (1) below will be 13.6%.

Obviously with enough volume you'll be able to hit the higher multipliers, but can I live with that? Lets say I want to play 20000 spins this year, what's my chance of not playing the top multiplier? Simply (1-0.00001)^20000 = 0.82, but almost 0 that I wont hit the x25+. So if I can beat a 7% rake I can do well during the year. Also I know its a matter of few years before I hit the top prize if Im patient enough

Now, lets go to the 1M spin n go. Lets say they never end this promotion. The chance of not hitting the 1M game based on table 2: (1-0.0000003)^20000 = 0.994. Chance of not hitting after 50 years: last result ^ 50 = 0.74. So, you can possibly never hit it and win. There's also the fact of being a millionaire not as valuable as loosing that much rake and time if you consider some prospect theory.

Taking a look at swcpoker. Lobby seems empty all the time. Tried to start some deuce games and everyone is decent at 4/8 level (1K chips = 1BTC). Dont seem fishier than PS. Also, expect to larn some Badeucey as well.

March review
  Forrest Gump, Apr 02 2015

Shitty month with worst BB downswing in my limit poker history (2-7 Triple draw), but saved the month the last days
VPPs: 14K
This year: 40K
Almost completed to play all regs HU, so nothing new to do until I want to battle some guys at 30/60 which I doubt is gonna happen soon. So, here's the graphs:

Probabbly mostly atributed to a stupid stomach flu I had during the first week where I lost 3 Kgs to go from 55 to 52 (1.73 m tall). So after being cured at the end of 2nd week I went to a nutritionist at the end of 3rd week becouse I did not recovered any weight at all, so after being prescribed some vitamins and a diet I came back to 54 in a week!. So, lets see if I can do it to 60 which was one of my yearly goals (I think vitamins and lot of avena+yogurt was the big plus)

Febraury reiew
  Forrest Gump, Mar 03 2015

Last best poker month imo considering one single player donate me 2K/m since December and I dont see him again. Volume was very low compared to last month because there's very few regs left I consider profitable playing, I table selected harder and I had a long fever the last week. Also I took some 30/60 shot at the beginning that gone wrong (there's a -75BB stretch there in less than 200 hands), but managed to stay green . I collected 7500 vpp only

Now I only have some intestinal pain from a week or so, so I'll have to table select even harder. Hope Im not celiac or something. Have to see a doctor if I dont improve

Books update:
1. Finished to read some training books ("supertraining" from yuri verkhoshansky, "overcome gravity", "superjoints", "relax into tretch" and "the naked warrior" from Pavel Tsatsoulin and "stretching scientifically" from Thomas Kurz)
If I have to recommend something is, dont read Tsatsoulin, he never talks about watching muscle soreness after stretching to be a problem. The big priority is muscle strenghtening of the muscles that are an obstacle to the splits. So there's a minimum strenght requiered before going into stretching imo or I'll risk losing standing balance/posture. So, deadlifts and light aductor leg flies are gonna be in my workout list and no more than 30sec stretches

2. Still reading "the black swan" from Thaleb. The guy is so intense and repetitive like if he was telling stories to kids. Dont think its a very worthy read

January Review
  Forrest Gump, Feb 03 2015

Good start for the year. Only played 2-7 Triple draw FL 5/10 and 10/20 with some exceptions (fish at 3/6 or 15/30 and a $27 donkament the last day) and made 18K vpp.
And for thoose who love graphs: (do you see the trend? Im not, so I wont make conclusions)

About books I finished "supertraining" from Yuri Verkhoshansky. Was hard to read but was worthy
Next book: "Overcoming gravity"

Short term physical goals:
push: get the 1 arm push up at 5RM
pull: get the 1 arm pull up at 5RM
legs: improve overall flexibility

2014 small review and 2015 goals
  Forrest Gump, Jan 07 2015

I want to post some short facts about last year

1. Learnt some different games, but I only play 2-7 TD FL right now. I lost too much at LO8, lost some at HU NLHE, break even at Razz and Badugi. Probabbly lost some at the mixed games too.
2. I was 12K up in 2014 for 2-7 TD. Learnt to play against any number of players including HU and im table selecting less (edited last word) than ever. I even played oogee and zugwat HU at 10/20 and they were scary.

And for next year goals:

1. Finish some books first: "supertraining" (edited last word) from Yuri Verkhoshansky and "The black Swan" from Thaleb
2. Become Supernova before October playing only 2-7 TD FL finishing with at least 1K/m after rakeback.

That's all, happy new year!

HU report NL50
  Forrest Gump, Nov 27 2014

-5bb/100 comes from Rake in this game, -5bb/100 in 3K hands in Betcris poker, losing at Argentinian site in pesos, -20bb/100 at NL50 HU at PS over 8K hands.
Im sure I lost the most at the beggining of every match, since I dont know what is standard in an unknown opponent and becose most of them sitouts before the hand #150. I think I've been read a lot of times too and played against very few good players who I had to sitout at hand #200 (may be 5% of my matches). So, I'll take a break with this and see some LHE HU
