I was looking for some funny ways to learn to code and I find:

1. www.robozzle.com
Dont teach you any language, but its very interesting to train my mind

2. www.codecombat.com
Seems fun. They use Java and Python. But the trial levels are very short. Should I pay for it?

Hi, Im back. Little story first: This week a friend graduated in computer science with a thesis about mimicry in conversations. That is, with a conversation game, samples between pairs of persons, they tried to build a metric to correlate certain stats (volume, frequency, speed, change in tone, etc) to certain behaviors (cooperation, boredom, etc).
Now, what I thought after: What is the import...

So, I stopped blogging lately becouse some strange symptoms that disrupted my overall performance for the last 3 months or so. I'm listing the worst of them first from 1 month ago. They all started progressively since March:
1. Bad quality sleep (6hs max with a few awakenings). Cant nap during my active times
2. Overall painless muscle weakness. Usually lower back and legs
3. phantom burning...

Since I dont have too many followers I was not very interested to blog this month, but I have to kill 20 minutes, so I'll do it to keep some records
This month I didnt make platinum with 6.4k vpp, becouse I had to work again as a professor (an 8hr/week job Im not interested to quit yet) in the university and started to see some satellite hypers (6 max, 2 prizes). Not enough sample yet to show ...

Cliffs:
-You dont need so much volume to see if regular spin n go suits your interest
-You may never hit the Spin n go 1M and you wont compensate that glory with all the wasted rake

Unlike MTTs where you have to win to realize your ROI at spin n go you need to play well your most frequent multipliers (usually the first 3 to 5) and look at your chip ev to see if you have some pontential....

Shitty month with worst BB downswing in my limit poker history (2-7 Triple draw), but saved the month the last days
VPPs: 14K
This year: 40K
Almost completed to play all regs HU, so nothing new to do until I want to battle some guys at 30/60 which I doubt is gonna happen soon. So, here's the graphs:

Last best poker month imo considering one single player donate me 2K/m since December and I dont see him again. Volume was very low compared to last month because there's very few regs left I consider profitable playing, I table selected harder and I had a long fever the last week. Also I took some 30/60 shot at the beginning that gone wrong (there's a -75BB stretch there in less than 200 hands...

Good start for the year. Only played 2-7 Triple draw FL 5/10 and 10/20 with some exceptions (fish at 3/6 or 15/30 and a $27 donkament the last day) and made 18K vpp.
And for thoose who love graphs: (do you see the trend? Im not, so I wont make conclusions)

I want to post some short facts about last year

1. Learnt some different games, but I only play 2-7 TD FL right now. I lost too much at LO8, lost some at HU NLHE, break even at Razz and Badugi. Probabbly lost some at the mixed games too.
2. I was 12K up in 2014 for 2-7 TD. Learnt to play against any number of players including HU and im table selecting less (edited last word) than ever. I e...

-5bb/100 comes from Rake in this game, -5bb/100 in 3K hands in Betcris poker, losing at Argentinian site in pesos, -20bb/100 at NL50 HU at PS over 8K hands.
Im sure I lost the most at the beggining of every match, since I dont know what is standard in an unknown opponent and becose most of them sitouts before the hand #150. I think I've been read a lot of times too and played against very few ...

Still it may be some profit to be made at:

Razz (2/4 to 5/10 mostly): 5.69 BB/100 in 5K hands with SD of 8.874. That means that in a worst case scenario I should be a 2BB/100

Triple Draw (2/4 to 15/30 mostly): 1.95 BB/100 in 35K hands with SD of 19.52. That means that I could be a loser and that's not a reasonable sample size...

This is Triple draw 2014 graph. I lost last year hands but I lost 2K trying to learn the game from 0. Key things about the graph:
- first 17K hands are 1/2 - 5/10
- then its 2/4 - 30/60 and started table selecting better
- average is 1BB/100

here it is:

So, as an update of my games. I've learnt some 2-7 TD, Badugi and Razz, enough to beat fish and survive vs regs. But that's not enough for grinding next year. Playing vs regs at 3/6+ is boring and life consuming, and probabbly Im doing worst than break even.
