i'm going to argentina for a few months starting in july and noticed the difference between the official exchange rate and the "blue dollar" rate is really huge: http://ambito.com/economia/mercados/monedas/dolar/
from what i've been able to find, it seems like the black market exchange is semi-standard and more or less out in the open. but being a tourist with mediocre spanish i'm obviously a little worried about getting scammed.
anyone on LP from argentina or been there recently who has any advice on this stuff? the different rates of exchange are kind of crazy.

The LP Identity Conspiracy
Ever since Neilly left LP, something has been bothering me. Nobody just leaves LP. Sure, he may have been banned, but at some point he would certainly pop up with a new account as “NeillyQK” or “lovesweedandpoker” or something. But there’s been nothing; it doesn’t make sense. Unless, of course, he never actually left.
After doing some research, I’ve made some interesting comparisons between Neilly and another LP poster + Show Spoiler +
 Ryan “BigBalls” Daut.
Let’s look at the similarities:
-Both have had their greatest poker success in tournaments
-Both have played online cash games as high as 25/50
-If his name is Neilly, why does he always sign out of his blog posts as “Ryan”? *Suspected same names*
-Both are significantly involved in “staking” in their own particular ways.
-Same age? I was unable to find this data but it has to be close.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. As we all know, Daut loves his math. Whatever floats your boat, I guess. What may be less known, however, is that “Neilly” likes math as well. When Lemon confronted him in this hand, asking if he uses math, the truth came out:

All the odds? Impressive, Neilly. Maybe a little too impressive.
Then there’s Neilly’s well-known fondness of weed. Well, apparently Daut is no noobie to the doobie himself. Interesting how this detail also happens to turn up on Neilly’s blog, too:

And where does Neilly keep getting his money from, anyway? Are we to believe that people continue to throw money at him given his history? That seems a bit far-fetched. But what if he has a financially successful friend/alternate personality...who just so happens to be in the staking business.
It's easy to see how the pieces of the puzzle fit together now, but in reality he was dropping hints long ago for anyone who paid attention.

And of course there's the bi-polar issue. Neilly has mentioned being bipolar in numerous blog posts. Now I want you to stay with me on this. Before the PCA win, before CardRunners, before staking and significant cash game success, what was Daut known for? Making mind-bogglingly nitty folds. He posted hand after hand, folding bottom set on a dry board, and was swarmed by other posters saying that such things are not done. This certainly must have eaten at his psyche. I believe this is what spurred on the creation of his alternate personality.
All of the rage and animosity he had built up over being called a nit all the time finally had an outlet. His alternate personality could do all the things he never could - have no regard for money, and live a care-free life of degeneracy without an ounce of common sense. What a wonderful release that must have been.

SPORTSBETTING HUAH

anyone do a lot of sportsbetting? i started to do some lately just for fun, but addicting (lol) so think i might try and do more of it. i don't think i'm a great handicapper at any sport so seems like the best method is to just go line-shopping. only thing is i'm US so there's limited options and some seem sketchy. i have couple grand on Intertops from when i was playing poker there so i've only been using them so far to bet sports, with that kind of limited roll is it worth trying to spread it out over more sites for line-shopping (taking into account transaction fees, risk of sites closing/confiscating funds, etc.) or should i just stay at one site for now?

so i downloaded openoffice, basically what i need to do is make a short presentation with a recording of my voice that's in sync with the slideshow (i'm not doing it live, just have to e-mail it to the professor, it's just ~5 mins for a foreign language class).
i know how to record myself and convert it into an mp3 file. now i need to know how to make it so that the audio is lined up with slideshow the way i want it and searching for that on google seems like a crap way to spend saturday =[
sooo..if someone can just explain this i'll find some way to ship $10 as soon as i can get it to work, i'm US so i don't have money on any poker sites, i assume paypal should work?
p.s. need to e-mail it by midnight CST tonight, let us go go go!

i need to use powerpoint for a presentation for a class, on my computer i just have a trial version of Office 2010 which gives powerpoint viewer but not fully functional powerpoint i think? i browsed through cnet looking for a full standalone pp download but could not locate, it's possible i missed it on account of being retarded though.
anyone know where i can get this? im afraid of getting virus raped if i try pirate bay.

laptop worries

i got a new laptop recently and when i use it i put it directly on my lap. so lately i've been worried about if using it like this too much is going to make my sperm impotent from the radiation or something? i feel like they might be dying already but maybe it's just psychosomatic or something idk. i like to use it primarily when i'm on the couch watching TV so it's hard to use a desk or anything, i'm currently putting a blanket between the laptop and my lap but i don't know how much that will slow down the radiation.

been trying to get eating utensils out of my kitchen drawer but there's a stack of plastic measuring cups that gets stuck against the end part where the wood material hands down a bit lower every time i try to open it (there's a bunch of crap behind the cups that prevents me from moving them back to get unstuck). i tried jamming it a little but i'm afraid the cups will break b/c they're plastic. anyway pretty bummed, i've been to starbucks twice today because i cant get it open.
