Requesting HEM Deal
  AutumnSolace, Apr 13 2009

Hey I was wondering if anyone can help me buy a HEM.

My understanding is they are $55, and a necessity pretty much.
I've been running pretty solid without one, turned $10 to $130 in about 1.5 months.

Currently running good in NL5. I think that a HEM can further help me...

So I'm requesting if anyone can send the $55 to my paypal.
What I plan to do, in compensation, is send you $30 first via Pokerstars (only network I play... sorry). Afterwards you send the $55 to my paypal. Then, at a week, latest, I will send you the other $30. The reason I'm doing this is because if I send the $60 all at once I'll be pushed back to NL2, which goes a lot slower. And NL5 is pretty smooth for me so far. Also, being a full time High School student, there aren't any ways to really obtain money, so I hope this is the solution. And also, I figure the faster I get HEM the faster it'll be for me to adjust and improve my game.

I can't provide a graph since I have no program to do so, but I do play STT/MTT's for fun so here is my sharkscope graph incase anyone is interested (You can Sharkscope me for proof, AutumnSolace):

I can't really say anybody will vouch my credibility because I'm fairly new to the poker community and am kind of reserved but I'm hoping this will give me the chance to kind of start a positive image. I'm somewhat known in the Starcraft community, but that can't really give any merit to poker.

If you need any additional information or want to arrange something else please MSN me at matthewtobias.school@gmail.com.

Thanks in advance.

NL5 vs NL10
  AutumnSolace, Apr 12 2009

So on Pokerstars the regular buy-in for both these limits is $6.

So, at a bank roll of $120, I'd assume that the $6 buy-in would mean I'm around 20 buy-ins for both... should I just stick to NL5 until I am a winning player or is there minimum skill difference between them so that I could just jump to NL10?

Also how many buy-ins should I have when I move up to NL25?

Thanks in advanced.

[SNG] Pokerstars
  AutumnSolace, Apr 05 2009

I've been playing the $1.20 9-man S&G's, and a lot of them.

From everyone I've talked to I heard that the $1.20 games are supposed to be super easy. People are really aggressive, playing for stacks with mediocre hands, and are just bad players in general. Well, from the videos I've watched from AMT, it seems like his $36 dollar games last as long as my $1 games. In the last session I played all my bubbles were 200/400 with one 300/600. And, as he put it, when the blinds are that high, it is more of a "crapshoot", and I can see why.

Why the hell is it so hard or am I hitting a bad time of the day? Is it maybe like good players just hitting the lower planets for Battle of the Planets tickets? As far as I know people say that Pokerstars S&G's are usually soft. But obviously this is not the case...

So any advice/input would be appreciated. And how do Matrix SnG's work on Full Tilt exactly?

Quick Hotkey Questions [Pokerstars]
  AutumnSolace, Apr 03 2009

So my touchpad on my laptop is pretty much shot.

Was wondering if Pokerstars has any hotkeys or like, any way to set it so I can use my keyboard to call/raise/fold? If not is there an Autohotkey script?

Thanks in advance.
(I'm going to buy a USB mouse later, like Saturday, but I need to get in my daily poker fix.)

Rakeback?
  AutumnSolace, Feb 04 2009

I don't really know what rakeback is or how it works.
And how do you apply it to accounts? I already made one, and I read it is only for new accounts. Is there a way I can contact Pstars to set rakeback up? Etc.

Any information appreciated.

How Long Do Your Sessions Last?
  AutumnSolace, Jan 30 2009

Just wondering.

I keep doing like 100-200 handed sessions over 5 tables recently, which is really short. Not enough time to get a read on opponents but I'm doing NL2 so it is not like I really need them. I don't have a HUD or anything though, but hoping to buy one when I get enough money. So far I've been noticing the more I stay at the same tables the more I tend to lose. Most of my successful sessions are when I hit about 250BB and leave. This probably isn't the same as you move up, but just wondering how you all play.

SnGs
  AutumnSolace, Jan 29 2009

I've been starting to play SnGs lately (I started playing Pstars like two weeks ago) with some success. I initially started with playing the NL2 tables which was quite easy, but took a while to get anywhere. There has already been the incident twice where I went from $25 to like $6 from getting pissed and going all-in at all my tables. But now, for the second time, I'm climbing back with around $18, thanks to SnGs.

But a few questions - because I'm quite confused. SRSLY.

Are SnGs profitable? I'm playing the $1.00 + $0.20 buyins 10 seat. The top prize is basically $4.50 I believe. That means if I get first in one and not finish top three in another two that I'm pretty much barely going over even. Is this the type of SnG most people play? I know it can earn leaderboard points (I love leaderboards kk).

But also, I saw the double or nothings where if you finish in top half you get double of what your buyin was. I figured this was probably not as easy as it sounded since people probably play super-conservative. And I've never played anything besides the 10 seaters. Any SnG players want to share if this is profitable or should I just stick to cash? If it is somewhat profitable what are the specific SnG's I should be playing?

Thanks.

Good Learning Website?
  AutumnSolace, Jan 25 2009

I've been trying to apply what I know at the tables, which isn't a real whole lot.
Now that I got the simplest of concepts down, I kind of want to know more in-depth strategy to apply and further along my poker. There are a lot of websites with poker videos/etc. but I'm not sure which ones are good and which ones are crap.

Any advice/help would be appreciated.

Good Start; 6-Max Or Not?
  AutumnSolace, Jan 22 2009

I'm playing 0.01/0.02 right now, played a bit in 0.02/0.05 but down too much to even commit myself to that. Started with $25 and overall I played good, getting to $30 pretty fast but then making some seriously dumb mistakes which took me all the way down to $6. Well, slowly and carefully I'm climbing the ladder and am brushing the $10 mark, going to get my $25 back. But the thing I just want some advice/input on is I've been doing 6-Max tables. Is this bad to start on?

I've been reading and trying to learn how to play, and I don't know if 6 max is where I should start. What should be the deciding factor whether I do 6 max or not? Also is $3 (Standard buyin for 0.01/0.02) be what I bring in? I see an awful lot of people coming in with only $1. Any input/etc be appreciated.

Pokerstars Deposit Troubleshooting
  AutumnSolace, Jan 18 2009

Before I post anything, Arcology I got your $5.

Now on to the juicy subject. So I just got a bank account with my local bank, did all the nice stuff. Currently in my hand is a debit card with a "Visa" image at the lower right. So today I finally tried to deposit the minimum amount that you can with a Visa to Pokerstars, $10, and got an error. Everything entered was 100% accurate, but it is giving me the unfortunate error that there is a possibility my bank has a ban on online gambling and other misc problems.

(Also just to make sure to avoid my dumbness, I'm using a debit card, which to my understanding can be used anywhere a Visa can. Especially since I have a Visa image on my debit card. Although it is not credit; it is debit. I do have money in my checkings account and I've already attempted to buy a book on amazon.com that should be arriving in 3-5 business days with this card).

Anyhow, did anyone ever have this problem? If so, what other way can I deposit money? And I imagine if I could not withdraw money from my bank account to poker-affiliated sites that they most likely won't accept a cash out from a poker-affiliated site. Does this seem like an accurate assumption? Am I screwed?

I've owned a debit card and bank account for less than a month and just turned eighteen so there is no such thing as common sense since I'm basically retarded at the moment, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
