Recap + Identifying player types post PTR
  Joeingram1, Jun 16 2012

This might be my longest post ever reading it again now, but if you use twitter and like to interact follow me on their as I spend most of my time on their now and talking to random people, way more fun for me nowadays to read on there. Also I misspell a few words later down when I went into beast writing mode and just going to keep it like that, sorry to the spelling pro's out there but i don't know how to spell identify on the fly well lol

Poker Recap

I need to do a blog recap of last like month and a half, I dont think I ever put up my pic from when I met the legend himself Phil Galfond. Super nice guy and was fun to hang out with. Stinger was staying at my place for a weekish during SCOOP and told me he would take almost all my action if i wanted to play 25/50 and 50/100 again, was grinding 400-1k at the time pretty happily and enjoying the low stress/variance. I decided sure why not and lost like 7bi at 50/1 and made a bit at 25/50 but still fucked with my head a bit just seeing the big drops in my graph lol. This was first time Ive ever sold any piece of anything in cash games so felt kinda bad losing someone else money but then felt little bit less bad when he bossed it up for like 500k when he was here and kept going on about how he needed to get to Vegas to go bracelet hunting and then of course wins a bracelet, can't even describe it but such a beast/machine/legend. My May graph was looking okay but I actually ended up down a bit (like 10kish) when I took out what piece Stinger had of me and was first losing month in awhile so felt pretty meh about that. Was hard to mentally adjust to playing 1200 dollar and 2000 dollar pots one day and then getting it in good and losing 20k pots the next, even if it was essentially playing 5000 dollar pots, I think I could get used to it in the future but at the time last month I was just like ahhh fuck this shit. Grinding midstakes is just so much less stressful, although lately this month I have been loading up every single table and just battling, which is going away from the strategy I employed the first few months of this year that allowed me to make so much money. First 5 days of the month I was playing with like 20 percent 3b 24 tabling, just batshit insane, chatting everytime I lost a hand and putting myself on tilt. Finally a few days into the month I banned my chat and am on like a 20k upswing since, still mass tabling though but play like infintely better not spazzing in chat and putting myself on tilt. I'm kinda just passing the time until I decide to leave Canada, not even sure what I'm still doing here but the hint I can give you is there may or may not be someone of the opposite sex persuading me to stay longer.

I made this blog for a reason originally and that was to write a bunch about ways to identify player types without the use of PTR but I will post some pics and graphs first.

This is my May Graph, as you can see there is a like 110k drop in there which was over a few days time span, not even sure what percentage of that was mine and really don't even want to think about it anymore. Stinger had like 45kish (more or less not sure right now) so ended down money. Also ended down in buying pieces for SCOOP and playing High plo scoop but actually ended up about 20k in live cash and up some buying pieces of stinger so actually might have had a super small winning month when take it all into account but dissappointing nonetheless.

A random pic of me and Phil G

So at some point in time over the past few months I kept using a goal of buying a new car (ferrari) as a way to motivate myself to keep playing and making money. I decided to start looking more into that over the past month and debating buying a car in canada for a few different reasons. I was thinking of staying here longer and was going to just say fuck it and get one for a few months and then figure out resale later or importing into usa at some point or who knows what. I have alot of money in Canadian dollar right now in my bank and with the conversion rate not so hot in my favor I thought this might also work if I was to head back to the USA and was planning to buy a car anyway. Alot of my friends on 2p2 and fb gave me their inputs as to the idea of doing this and most said it was dumb/idiot thing to do which probably is true but I was moreso looking at it with a way to reward myself for the hours and hours of grinding I have put in to give myself the dream car I have always said I was trying to make money to afford one day. Knowing I could always resell it if for whatever reason and would continue to play poker online and still make money. I still have been going back and forth on it now but have kinda decided for the time being with potential move back to USA and then trips to Vegas and Spain that I can put off buying a car and see where my head is at come August and see where I decide to ultimately settle down at post summer. With that said here is a pic and video of my test driving an f430

Player Type Color Coding
I want to write about the EV of buying pieces of people that you are friends with and in the marketplace but will save that for a few days from now as I want to write about what this was intented to be about before I lose the passion to write. I only get this feeling once every few months now so want to take advantage of when I have it. I always have thought one of my strongest edges this year was exploiting the weaker players by intedifying their specific areas of weakness and devising what works best against that type of play. I was game selecting pretty hard for awhile and by doing this and only playing 1 or 2 tables at a time you naturally focus in more, with having position on the fish all the time you would end up paying more attention to their play and figuring out certain lines they take with certain ranges/hand strengths and could then figure out ways to best exploit this. Alot of the really bad players were semi-regulars in a sense so if you can be really fast at seat selection you will end up playing with these guys often. Also with the use of PTR and looking at stats you could then pinpoint more exact the type of player a new fish was and have a better plan of attack because would have played against a wide varitey of fish already and learned in what areas to exploit. Without the use of PTR though its kinda like a big pandoras box for me lately in idetendigiyng new fish types and figuring out where they fall on the color coding scale. I use a color coding scale of about 12-15 colors ranging from The WORST OF THE WORST aka the -80ptbb players aka the ones you would play even 2 to their right sometimes (julia, rafedu, few others) to the guys you just want to avoid playing with because their winrates are awesome for a reason (eire, cleaner, lautie). I don't ultimately think those 2 specific colors matter to much because the WofW you can usually tell almost immeditaly by their stats/plays they make but its the other 11 colors in the middle that are the clusterfuck to figure out and learning how to idetify better and faster will ultimately give you a better edge on the competition and make you more money.

Luckily for me I have a base color down for most of the people I play vs 2-4+ and I'm happy I do. There are some random people that you never really notice or remember that I PTR'd before who would show up with like super awesome winrates over a good sample who I coded accordingly with just looking at their stats would think they are random player. I can kinda do a bit to avoid these players now and look to exploit others. Without PTR though this is impossible so I have been trying to figure out other ways to do this but haven't really stumpled upon anything besides HEM research and intent attention while at the tables in the forms of notes and what they showdown. I have some Fishy/weaker Reg color codes and those came in handy so much when playing against, these are the breakeven or slight losers who play really often and sometimes multiple tables but you seem them make plays like getting it in with Weak SD/Weak FD/Dominate draws in spots where good players would never do because they know their equity is never going to be ahead vs the range of hands you are getting it in with. These are just fundamental errors some make because they overvalue certain hands still and at some point after losing enough with them you realize (you do win alot with these hands too sometimes which justifies you to keep playing them that way). When you see regs make plays like this over time that is a big indicator of this color and then you can adjust accordingly when playing bigger spots with them and knowing there range is going to be wider then a better player. You can also expect this type to make alot of smaller mistakes in other pots and get to showdown a bit more/wider so can barrel them off the weaker part of their range and also valuebet thinner. Post PTR i think this player type might be one of the easier to identify for me personally.

The hardest tier for me to get a handle on right now is that like 5-10 range (using 1 amazing-12 worst scale). These guys were insta easy to give a base color with PTR because they would range from -7ptbb to like -35ptbb and could label them right away and then if you started to see them more often could go more indepth in their game but as a standard you wouldn't see these guys that often but sometimes often enough where their tier might matter (ie: you have 6 games going and a new game pops up where a 5/6 tier with 50bb doesn't provide that much value and is slightly +ev when trying to focus really hard on the other games with more EV/Value where before you could identify these types right away but now you have to play with them to figure it out). The ability to identify these players as quick as possible and be right about it I think ultimately is very valuable. Their are some guys I just leave as undecided fish for a few session because I really just can't fuckin tell where they fall. There are some 70/8 players who really never stack off and with PTR before this was easy to identify with winrate/stats but now your like this dude is playing 70 percent, he has to be terrible, lets color code him this and insta sit/be on the lookout. In reality this guy is a slight losing player who doesn't provide that much value compared to others who in the wrong table dynamics you might be even losing a bit/high variance spot. Going from the 8-10 tier is kinda difficult for me to establish right now too because the difference in even those 2 for me from what I have seen is immense sometimes. The 10's with their winrate are the types sometimes to just say fuck it preflop and gambool it up with any 4 cards therefore letting you adjust accordingingly and get it in for value wider. Where'as an 8 will still play pretty snug preflop in those same spots but is going to play pretty poorly postflop and get it in bad on certain flops. The problem for me is distinguishing those 2 types quickly because their stats tend to be similar and without paying alot of attention you just group them as one but your still missing out on spots to exploit them and win their money when looking at it like this. I'm still working on ways to be able to distinguish a 5 from a 9 but honestly not working hard enough right now as I have kinda checked out on the whole bumhunting aspect when playing midstakes.

I do have similar viewpoints on identifying regulars and giving an appropriate tier for them but I don't really feel like writing to much anymore so will have to save that for another time. Ultimately anything I have just said really won't mean to much to the mass tabling beasts that can play in any lineup and have an edge for the most part (mipwnya, lautie, rivalzz (debatable him). But I think there are alot of people that just kinda go unnoticed with not so big edges that if they were able to identify player types better/more efficent/faster could make themselves more money. Writing this was kinda just my way to figure out for myself my thoughts on the current spectrum of things and get some feedback from other people on some things they look for or ways that helps them accomplish this better. I know alot of this might seem like holy fucking shit why are you thinking about this shit so much but this is basically the strategy I used besides running good to make me 450k lol which I have gone away from. The basic idea to minmize your variance/hands you play/spots you get in vs the really good players (in and oop) and instead focus a majority of your efforts on only the weak player in the lineup and how you can take his money the fastest and most efficient and be on to the next one. Since I have less confidence right now in my fish finding ability I instead have reverted to my old strategy of just playing any seat/any game/as many as possible but luckily for me I am a much better player now then I was before when I used to do this and I can achieve some level of success doing it but with higher variance/swings.

I probably missed saying some things because my mind went elsewhere but will re-read this few times over the next few days and add in anything I may have not said or forgot to write down. I have a tough time lately verbalizing/writing anything I think out lol

O yea graph for June since chat ban so far, basically 24 tabling/playing anyone HU, lot of the big drops are from losing alot to the run good god regulars that never lose at HU deep tables

Thanks for reading guys/gals

ket/baalim fuck off still applies haha nah, i like you ket. baalim seems okay too

10 Months Living in Vancouver
  Joeingram1, May 08 2012

Everyone who reads 2p2 for hours a day is soooo bored right now and trying to find something/anything to read and occupy time so maybe I should be blogging more as a way to not only keep myself busy but maybe keep someone else busy for 2-5 minutes as they read/interact. This is Day 2.5 of my Workout/Diet prop bet and I am excited to eat the salad sitting in front of me right now. I found a salad bar/juice place that is supposed to be the healthy place the yuppies of Yaletown here in Vancouver go to, for a make your own salad and some fruit its 15 dollars lol, but whatever. Before I go to the gym to start my workouts I usually walk down the street to the healthy/most expensive grocery store known to man and buy a pre-workout "drink", 2 big bottles of water and then a post-workout "drink". I have no idea what exactly these pre/post workout drinks do but I trick myself into thinking they might be good and it is another good way to spend 14 dollars per workout I have found. My bank wire hit my account from Pokerstars and I don't really need more then 5k to live off of so now if I ever think about buying something, I just buy it. I really haven't spent to much money since my 400k upswing besides on getting my teeth healthy/looking better and maybe 10k-15kish on clothes/accessories (watch) so I think I'm doing good so far on that end.

Here is pic I took yesterday for beginning of workout prop bet, I took some with shirt off to gauge progress but I probably should keep those to myself and to various ladies lol

In my last blog I wrote how I was playing poker for PTR (tracking results site for noobs from fb) glory so to say and that once PTR stopped working that I didn't care anymore and lost a bunch of money. Someone said this is first step to failure which if you look at my results for the first 4.4 million hands that is confirmed because I think I have always been like that. I never really played to make alot of money, as long as I had 10k to be able to grind with and pay bills I was happy and fine. Something kinda changed during this last grind challenge where I realized I should stop being so -EV in what I was doing with my pokertime and do what I needed to do to win money. So I decided to stop playing 24 tables and play 1-4 tables because I knew thats what I had to do to be +EV and obv the results show for themselves. Once I won 100k that first month I was tempted to just not put much effort into it anymore but the thought of running up my PTR graph as high as I possibly could and the glory/excitement that comes from that came into my mind and provided me that motivation I needed to keep going. This sounds ridiculous to some but thats how I think about it and not really sure how to trick myself into changing that thought process. My goal before PTR went down was to get to 1 million profit on there and ever since it went away I've kinda been racking my brain and wondering around for a new goal and finally found one with my workout/diet prop bet, gives me something to focus on. Sounds even more ridiculous now that I would have stayed in Canada and kept grinding to try to get to 1 million profit for the sole reason of making my PTR graph look more awesome and not for the 1 million dollars itself lol, here is obligatory screenshot of final PTR for me

Lets get to what this blog post is all about. How is it to live in Canada and the process that goes into it. The original question was from NewbSaibot and he said

I'd like to hear more about life in Vancouver. I know for awhile you were living in a 10k/month penthouse or something, but for the avg joe how affordable are the nice areas of Vancouver? How is the weather year round? What other considerations should someone make if moving to Vancouver? Basically I'm really interested in living there for a variety of reasons, and because I've heard nothing but good things about the city. Overall, could you see yourself living in Vancouver forever? Or are there certain factors which might drive you back to the states?

Man this is a great question and I'm sure there are so many people that never left the USA to relocate anywhere for a number of reasons. I will write a little bit about my experience here so far and if anyone has anymore questions feel free to ask. I'll just start by going through the questions he asked. When I originally moved here we picked a place that was 5.8k/month sorta penthouse

This was obviously unnecessary but me and ballcup thought process before moving here was lets just get one of the sickest places we can because who knows if we will ever be able to again. So even though I was busto and rent per month was more then what my starting bankroll online was we decided to go through with it. I guess I had a lot of confidence in my ability to build it back up. I think Vancouver is affordable in the nice areas (Yaletown, Downtown, Gastown) for the average person who is relocating for poker. I would assume most people doing this have some money and are good at making more money from online poker and can afford it. I think the average 2br is anywhere from 2k-3k depending on how nice and for 1br you can find somewhere from 1.5-2k, I've been in alot of places downtown in these areas of town and they are all basically the same thing. Nice view, patio, in good shape. I came from San Diego where i was paying 2.4k/month in rent for myself so I was pretty used to these prices but for people coming from other areas this is like a what the fuck/holy shit type of thing. I think you may be able to find a bit cheaper prices in West End and Coal Harbor areas of the greater downtown area but I think prices will run pretty similarly. I would never come here and live outside of the little Island Vancouver sits on when you look on the map but I know you can find cheaper accomidations if it is that big of a deal. The weather here year round sucks, it is never warm out until yesterday, for the last maybe 7-8 months it has been a combo of cold/rainy/miserable outside. Good for staying inside and grinding but bad for going outside and enjoying. I'm not really too sure what other considerations one would make when moving up here, I guess knowing other people is good. I knew 3 people from our Vegas house that we moved up here with so always had people to hang out with even though I was busto/depressed when moved up here for the most part. We did meet alot of new people right away and if you open yourself up you'll be able to make new friends pretty easily. I would say I became pretty good-really good friends with 4 people I met in Vancouver that play poker. People come and go though which sucks but the opportunity is there to meet some people if you are here for a 3-6month time span. I think the city is beautiful, I live in Yaletown right now and it is great for walking anywhere and finding a ton of food options. When I lived downtown it was even better for finding 100s of different food options. If you are the rare poker player who likes to meet women you will have no problem doing this. I think I have met/been out with around 15-20 people and have probably tried like a 5 out of 100 to meet anyone in that regard. The crowd in the town is interesting, basically a mix of white people and asian people. Some indian/brown people scattered throughout but that is about it.

I think I could see myself living in Vancouver for a long period of time but taking many vacations. I have felt like a prisoner trapped in Canada though for most of my time, I know many of my friends have left and come back without issue but since I have had my car here I always felt a little iffy about flying out and then for some reason not being able to get back into the country so I chose to just stay here. I originally had a 3 month visitors visa, I applied online for an extension for 3 more months and got that mailed to me and then I applied again online for 4 more months and was approved again, thats how I was able to stay longer then the 6 months everyone on the forums talks about. It was a super easy process and one I would recommend to anyone looking to legally stay up here longer. I kind of want to write the Canadian government a letter for letting me stay so long and make all this money lol, I actually think I might do this. The wantingness to keep writing is kind of fading away right now but I think I hit on alot of important things/main topics people ask about often so if anyone has anymore they want to know go ahead and ask.

Going to eat now and get on with the day but if i feel like blogging more today or something comes to mind then I will

Didn't play with yousseff today, thank god
  Joeingram1, May 08 2012

That cheating account yousseff ahmed wasn't present at my tables today and it showed in the results. Still need to do a downswing recap which I will get to in next few days but I cashed out most of my roll and left myself with 100BI for 2/4 with playing some 3/6 and 5/10 and bit 10/20 but ran bad at 1k/2k so just focused on 400/600 till I won some BI's then moved back up with better game selection and month has gone well so far. I was starting to think I sucked for a bit when I went on downswing but realized that when your playing high stakes against really good players, the variance is high and your going to lose, I basically went on a 200k upswing playing in those games so a losing sessions was inevitable to happen. When PTR went down I really didn't care about losing (lol logic) and played 3 handed with phil g and eireabu at bunch of 25/50 and that did not go so hot. Was 3b way to much and didn't adjust and lost a few BI, but at those stakes thats alot of money so went on like 80k downer online but won 25k live so wasn't insanely bad but felt it was time to cash out most of my roll and drop back down. Without ptr there isn't anymore glory in playing high stakes, when you won before you would have a sicker graph but without it no point. 2/4-5/10 more then enough fun and players are not as good so makes it easier to win.

No 2p2 still, wtf going on lol, i just keep clicking on my gmail, twitter, facebook over and over and over and nothing ever changes, so boring. I started a workout prop bet along with diet prop where I can't eat fast food or drink soda and have to be in the gym doing something everyday for the rest of my time here in Vancouver. I was planning on leaving before the end of the month to head back to Chicago for a few weeks, then to Vegas, then to Ibiza for 2 weeks. Pretty excited to see what kind of results I will have and how my body will change because my diet is probably as bad as anyone around and I drink like 10 cans of soda a day. Will be interesting challenge. Going to be doing bunch of twitter stuff this month @joeingram1 Could use some more people to follow/interact with on there besides porn stars

Here is graph for month so far, big drop is the yousseff session and then went to sleep, refreshed my mind, woke up and put in work.

Never play vs Yousseffahmed
  Joeingram1, May 07 2012

Seriously if you like money don't, never seen anyone run as hot as this guy does. I stopped playing any table that he was on for 2 months and today tried it again and he took 10BI from me and lost 0 pots above 20bb vs me. I looked in my database and he has won 35 hands vs me over 50bb and i won 4 lol

I wish i could post like the last 200 3b/4b pots vs him where I either get coolered by him or whiff completely or get it in ahead and lose, time to go back to never playing at the table with him

Standard 400k upswing
  Joeingram1, Apr 16 2012

I have a long blog in my head that needs to be written including a bunch of hands I've recently played, got in a 6way all in pre for 91k pot at 50/1 yesterday (did not win). Followed that up with a 70k day today though and broke the 400k mark for the year. Seems standard enough.... Everytime I sit down to write something or make a video blog my mind goes blank and nothing comes out

Unknown Topic
  Joeingram1, Mar 13 2012

Whats going on guys, feel like writing and that doesn't happen very often anymore. Instead of organizing my place and closet or go to the gym and play on my iPad I decided to do this instead. Random Ipad apps I am grinding right now, Fairway Solitare (solitaire+golf combined, addicted as hell with many levels to get through and not like regular solitaire. Replaced Temple Run in the game I have to play when I'm not doing anything). Pocket League Story (this is iphone/ipad) From makers of Game Dev Story, its like a soccer/football RPG game where you build a soccer team and play in various leagues/cups and improve your players through training excecises, building different buildings, head coach. Can hire better plays as you progress and start to make more money. You don't actually play the games but you get to watch and do some adjustments to form and they go by pretty quick and are kinda fun to watch too. Almost have completed it at this point and looking forward to getting into a few other games that the company makes like building super mall, simcity type building game, and grand prix racing game. This app Splashtop honestly changed my life since it basically lets you control your desktop from your Ipad from anywhere. I've had it for a few months now and I can't imagine not having it now, sometimes I will just lay in bed with stars lobby open on Ipad and jesus seat someone and then make my way to the computer to fire up a session. Can't really stream movies/tv shows with regular ipad browsers but with splashtop it makes it possible and I use it so much. I think Ipad is best thing I ever purchased in my life up until a few days ago.

There was only one thing I really wanted to buy with all the money I won from prop bet + grinding and that was to get my teeth fixed up. I guess they weren't TERRIBLE before but I was not very happy with them and usually felt a little self conscious about them. I did a few non-cosmetic dental sessions to get my teeth in working order and after a bunch of hours grinding in the dentist chair I got my top teeth complete (crowns). I had this image of the movie star white smile in my mind before I got them but the dentists convinced me that super super white usually looks super super fake/unreal so I didn't go that extreme but still white enough. I put up a little youtube video and if you watch my video blogs in December first and then this one you will say holy shit that looks different.

I kinda talk a little bit about poker in that but I don't really get too in depth. February was on track to be another 100k month but with like 4 days left I threw all the discipline to the window and play in some -evish spots with higher variance then usual. Obviously I choose to do most of this at 50/100 and ended up losing 25k that day, ran like under ev but was really only from one beat and besides that played terrible and did not make folds I should have made but could have avoided getting in those spots in the first place against good players. Started off March like a man on a mission and made that 25k back the first 2 days and was up about 40k before I decided to throw discipline to the window once again and just tilt for some unknown reason. Felt like the old days of poker for me when I was just do something that I know is horrible or make a call that I know is -ev but just something happens to my brain and I do it anyway. You can see from the monthly graph where I would regroup, get my mind straight and then do more grinding back up and then had another moment. I'm still up a bunch this month but its weird how being up 24k doesn't feel like too much now. I defintely have been a little less stringent on my tables I do decide to play and sometimes I load up a bit more then normal tables and this leads to me getting in more high variance spots because that slightly less lack of focus gets me into them. I sometimes find myself playing a bunch of big pots with thecleaner11 who is pretty good player while I have the fish sitting to my right and avoiding him. The old me loved battling with regs and trying to be the fucking man but we all saw how that would normally turn out for me so I have to sometimes remind myself of this and stay my lane of what has been working. Haven't quite ran like god this month as compared to the last 2 but I think that the combination of playing well/game selection helps make up for alot of that. Hasn't been as much juice this mont at 25/50 and the 50/100 hands I've played this month I kinda was pushing the limits of -ev/+ev. I only like to play that high when I know the mark is a top tier fish and the sessions this month I have been like well he is really fishy but idk he might not be fishy enough to make up for the variance. Plus some of them buy in for 30bb's and I really am not a 30bb master but feel like I still play better then the fish with stacks that shallow. Against the 5/10+ shortstack regs though I probably am making a handful of -ev plays with ahnds im defending to 3b or 3b myself vs them.

Here is the breakdown of the month so far for me, sucks being up 20BI at 400plo and down 1BI at 10kPLO lol

Yearly breakdown of limits so far, obv play more 5/10 and 10/20 and less 3/6 and 50/100

Pokerstars Dinner in Vancouver + 39k Pot!!
  Joeingram1, Jan 19 2012

Whats going on guys, still need to write my SNE prop bet wrap up blog but I have alot of things to write/say about the few month long grind so want to make sure I'm in the writing mindset. This month has been incredibly well and I think pokerstars is rewarding me for playing 450k plo hands in December with this ridiculous run good at high stakes to start the year including my biggest pot ever won

Obv Rafe was the spot in this game and the only reason I was playing so high, he wasn't 3betting that much preflop and after he potted I was moreso praying it wasn't AAxx with nut flush draw but when he tanked for like 20 seconds I was like holy crap I might actually have the best hand with bottom pair, and I was an 80 percent fave for a 39k pot, heart sure was pumping on the turn when he picked up a bit more outs but on the river it was going crazy, like holyyyyyyyyy !!!!!!!

This is how my graph is looking since I moved back into my 2nd canada place where the run good officially lives, almost made it to +100k but not quite there yet

Pokerstars hosted a dinner for some Vancouver supernova's the other night that I attended and had a great time. This is my second get together organized by Pokerstars that I have attended. The first was on Thanksgiving for the USA relocatees that was great, it kinda sucked having to be in Canada and grinding on Thanksgiving so this was a great moral booster for myself and just another reason why Stars is amazing to its plyers, I got to meet some lp'ers who I've only known online and got to meet the Canada Rep for this part of the world for Pokerstars, Rich and his wife. The dinner the other night here at HY steakhouse was for Canadian supernovas but luckily me and my friend Matt (rivrmeadream) got an invite and got to meet some more pretty cool guys from the area. Had a chance to meet a guy I've grinded a ton of PLO with and he was the only one brave enough to go out with us afterwards, prob can't blog that story. Rich gave away a few pairs of hockey tickets through 8 way PLO flips and obv I binked the first one for my hometowm Blackhawks vs Canucks, everyone was happy for me of course. Of course we ordered a ton of appetizers, double drinks and deserts as the night was on Pokerstars and everyone figured we could all use some more rakeback. I know not everyone is happy with the changes made this year to the VPP system but I have tried turn the negative into a positive for me personally and figured out a way to maximize my rakeback and try to improve my winrate. Previously it was very profitable to nit it up while 24 tabling with the mentality that I could breakeven while earning 120k but now that is not the case, in deciding to take a different approach and open up my game a ton while playing in better games higher stakes I have been able to make as much money in the first few weeks of the year then I might be able to make the whole year with 24 tabling + SNE.

I made a video at the stars dinner so you guys can see what a real life pokerstars employee looks like and some other poker players look like, lighting kinda meh
