September has been really good, easily my best month so far. Won't be able to play as much next month due to exam preparations.

Third Milestone = 200000k vpp. wooohoooo

Poker has been both extremely satisfying and stressful for me as I am a full time student doing my last semester at Uni. I picked up poker during December or January last year, but didn't really play any until June 20th this year due to a busy schedule. Poker has always been a really fun hobby of mine, but my main focus will remain on completing my degree in computer science and my two major projects.

At this point in time I really don't know what to do with poker, I don't know if I should take it more seriously and try to further improve my game and move up limits or just keep grinding out the midstakes. I know that I am not ready and have much to learn before I have a positive expectation with the highstake players and plus I have a great graduate position lined up for me next year at Deloitte so maybe I'll keep poker on the side for the fun & extra cash. I simply feel I have more potential in the business world.

But you never know, the Johnny inside me might come out again and make me move up.

Bad news first.

Played a 22$ deekstack tourney and bubbled with 4th highest stack. hand went like this.
UTG limp, MP limp, villain limps. I am on CO with 88. I pop it up. Villain calls flop comes

AA5, villain c/min raise me and i figure he either has 55 or a bluff so i raise him back and he turns over AJ....

Now good news.
While playing the tourney for 6hours I played some 400NL and ran good.

This month started off really well as I just hit Supernova and also started to take shots moved up to 400NL and some 600NL, but then I suffered a 10k+ down swing which is my second worst swing yet in terms of buyins.

I like to think that most of the swing was due to variance, but there were nights where I just wouldnt give up and kept playing till my eye lids would just shut out every 1-2 minutes. Doomer strongly advised me to cut down the number of tables I play so I did and combined with shortend session durations and careful play I recovered most of those losses.

August has been a emotional rollercoasting, due to poker and crazy load of uni project work..

Its been 8 months since I started 2NL on stars with 50$ from my bank account. But I've only seriously played since 25NL which was 4months ago. And since then I have played 200k hands.

Going to take a slightly different approach to the last milestone brag blog. Instead of thanking people who helped me I'm going to laugh at a particular few lpers for being an arsehole and saying I suck at poker and that I am just on a hot run. So big STFUYOUWEREWRONG_SHOUTOUT to redrain(whats up? hows 25NL?), exalted, mrwowgie, rush, soah, Nelly. Obviously I am not a great player, and I didn't mean to be cocky with the above statement but Its just frustrating when people berate you when you are just trying to learn.

So anyways moving on, time flies since my last milestone which was reaching a 10k BR. Since then i've acquired 100k VPP and hit SUPERNOVA status.

So I had this ultra hot session I normally only have 46% Pots won at showdown, but tonight was 59%!!!

Anyways up like $1750 while 3tabling 400NL and 9 tabling 200NL. 400NL seems similar to 200NL but with more 3betting and LAG opponents which are quite tough for me to beat atm.. but thats probably coz I am playing scared money.

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 2911 hands and saw flop:
- 151 out of 386 times while in big blind (39%)
- 93 out of 387 times while in small blind (24%)
- 197 out of 2138 times in other positions (9%)
- a total of 441 out of 2911 (15%)
Pots won at showdown - 51 of 86 (59%)
Pots won without showdown - 350

in other news.. almost reach my next milestone SUPERNOVA.

Played in total 75241 hands, and had a few sick swings, and generally very swingy month.. ended up only 2PTBB/100 hands on 200NL which is quite dissapointing.

Anyways good thing is I earned 59165 VPP this month, and 80868VPP ever. 19132VPP left till Supernova (my second milestone goal).

Another good news is I've cashed out $3200 from PS, and will spend it on expenses at Uni this semester. But I will also cut down on hands because of uni, so probably only 5k hands a week.

So the last semester of uni is starting tomorrow, which means poker will have to be put off for a while. Gotta do well this semester to hold on to my grad job at deloitte ^_^.

Poker this month has been pretty amazing even though in the last 3 days I had a 20 Bi swing. But all is sweet as i have made enough spending money this month to not work part time this semester.
