I haven't played poker in awhile, since I was preparing for a chess tournament that happened at the end of May. Back into the grinding mood and am running very hot right now. This probably won't keep up but I can always hope .

I've been practicing better table selecting strategies for full ring. It's been helping me a lot to look at the player playing percentage before selecting a table. I've been avoiding tables with all regs and have found tables with a lot more terrible fish than I've used to encounter at NL 10.

Looking forward to relaxing and playing more poker.

dropped down to NL 5 at beginning of May to learn how to tighten up and grow some discipline. Ran way above EV the past 10 days but at least EV is still about 7 BI. Overrolled and moving back to NL 10 tomorrow with a clear head.

Last day of school. Got one statistics final left at 7:00 tonight and then I'm out of this place tomorrow. Looking forward to the summer.

Plans:
Chill in Hawaii at the end of June
Actually try to get my bankroll up instead of donking it away
More clear focus on poker since there is no more school distraction
Get a gym membership and actually work out
Play in a pro-shot bowling league with some friends
Study for actuarial exam P - Probability
Play Xbox without a shitty ass internet connection
Teach some younger kids chess for some spare cash
Play in the Chicago Open chess tourney May 28-31
Go on a hike/exploring in a forest preserve
Eat some good food because dorm food blows
Play some home game SNGs with friends

Eh, thats all I can think of right now. Can't wait!

After recently getting holdem manager, I've realized how fucking bad I am at poker. Decided to take a break from the cash games and fool around with some $2.20 heads up SNGs. Never really tried these before, but I felt like it might be cool. And what'd you know? They're pretty fun. Plus, everyone fucking sucks. Won 7 of 9 of them played. Probably won't be this good everyday if I keep it up.

Gonna go back and grind NL 5 so I can learn some fucking discipline for NL 10.

Just got a trial of holdem manager today. Its pretty sweet. I'm a fish at HUD usage so I'm still getting used to the numbers and stuff. It's been most helpful with identifying blind stabbers so far, as I am able to reraise them more and win more pots. Also, its easy to push around those nits when they are labeled.

I also like the layout of holdem manager. The trial of poker tracker 3 I got earlier was too hard to understand, while I feel that holdem manager is more user friendly. Still adjusting and trying not to depend ENTIRELY on stats when making decisions.

Hoping it'll be a big help in the long run!

So last night I was working so hard on this assignment for this probability class I was in. Just chilling at the library drinking some hot chocolate for about 5 hours. It's midnight, and I'm finally finished so I go back to my dorm. Nobody is in my room and my roommate is out. Got a test for communications the next day so I'm looking forward to a good night sleep.

Until...

I'm sleeping soundly when all of the sudden I just wake up and hear a lot of sucking noises. Now my dorm is structured suite style, so that there is a room with 2 people connected to a bathroom connected to another room. My suite mates next door love to party and have sex all the time so I just assumed one of them was banging one of his girlfriends in the shower AGAIN. BUT NO! IT'S COMING FROM THE FUCKING BED RIGHT NEXT TO ME!

Thats right, my roommate is getting it on with his girlfriend WHILE I'M FUCKING IN THE ROOM. I MEAN WTF IS THAT???? I'm trying to go back to sleep but with all the moaning and sounds of "OH BABY DO YOU LIKE THAT?" and "OH KEEP IT GOING OHHHAHAHSDHHH!" IS DRIVING ME FUCKING INSANE. Now my roommate and I don't talk much but he's not usually doing stuff like that, or he would at least ask. I think he secretly hates me because I play poker like every fucking day, BUT WTF MAN WANNA GIVE ME A HEADS UP WHEN YOU'RE GOING TO GET IT ON???

So, after waking up at 8:00 A.M. with hardly any sleep, I check my phone and have an unread text from my roommate. "Hey man you think I can get the room tonight? I'm trying to get a girl over." Oh sure you can man, JUST DON'T SEND ME THE FUCKING TEXT AT 1:40 A.M WHEN I'M ALREADY FUCKING ASLEEP! Needless to say, that communications test didn't go so well that morning.

WTF MAN???
