(^_^) August record
  lachlan, Sep 01 2007

Ok, here's the history of my poker career.

August 2006: Downloaded an episode of the WSOP 2004 final table, where some lady won it against Eric Seidel. I found it really entertaining and went on to watch a few more episodes where Raymer won the WSOP. Didn't do much else to do with poker though.

Jan 2007: Played poker at a friends house, $10 buy in, for about 5 days in a row during holidays. Ended up with about $50 profit.

February 2007: Downloaded pacific poker, and played a bit on the free money tables. Was ok, didn't get addicted or anything.

March 2007: Started getting into starcraft, pretty late bloomer but it fascinated me. Browsed teamliquid a bit.

May 2007: Saw some link to liquidpoker.net, had a look around. Didn't really interest me, didn't understand what it was.

June 2007: Downloaded Poker Stars, and played a bit more on the playmoney tournaments. Thought I was ok at it, seemed to win pretty often.

July 2007: Read a bit more on liquid poker one time when i was bored, and it was amazing to see all these people, such as rekrul, a former starcraft player, winning a WSOP title and stuff. I deposited $30 on party poker, lost it within a few days.

Mid August 2007: Went to a casino, really wanted to try live poker. Bought in for $100 (AUD) and lost it all.

I was pretty drunk and held AJ suited. Flop came out KJT, everoyne bet so i just limped in. Didn't realise it was costing me $5-$10 everytime i limped. Before long i was all-in and miserable that i'd called it.

Turn came a Ten, River came another Ten. At this point i thought i only had a pair of jacks, whereas i actually had a fullhouse, ten's full of jacks.

My mate who is playing next to me turns over AQ, a straight. I just throw my cards into the muck thinking i'm beat. The idiot down the table turns over Jx, same hand i had, and wins a huge pot. Felt like shit for the next week or so, probably not drinking again if i ever play live.

Late August: Have one more try at online poker. I deposit another $30 on partypoker, and $10 on pokerstars. Also get PokerTracker working and try to play really well etc etc.

So after about 10 days of playing on both accounts, things are going pretty well.

Have gone from $25USD --> $60 on PP and $10 to $30 on PS.

Graph:

So hopefully i'll just keep this up and try and make my way up to 0.02/0.05c limits soon enough.

Does anyone know what i should have before i make this jump? I read someone said $250...

Anyway wish me luck? ^_^
