due to some totally unforseen circumstances, i may have to withdraw virtually my entire roll. i'll probably end up starting back down at the penny tables and rebuilding from there. hooray financial difficulties
I want either a honda accord/civic or toyota prius. i hate all american car companies (obviously because their car sucks).
however, i don't have enough money for a car!! therefore, i'm going to try to shoot for 35k for july!! i'll withdraw all 35k, spend about 22k on ze car, and then have a bunch leftover for taxes .
In recognition of your outstanding achievements to date and your potential
for significant contributions to the field of communications, I am pleased
to offer you a USC Annenberg Graduate Fellowship in the USC School of
Cinematic Arts.
USC Annenberg Fellows will form a unique and elite cadre of graduate
students who will conduct communications-related research, advance important
new programs in the communication arena, and constitute an
internationally-recognized and highly regarded group of communications
research scholars and creative practitioners.
This offer of a USC Annenberg Graduate Fellowship is for the academic year
2008-2009. As a USC Annenberg Fellow you will receive a stipend of $20,000,
16 units of tuition, and payment of year-round health and dental insurance
and the Student Health Service Fee.
As a recipient of this USC Annenberg Graduate Fellowship, we expect that you
will be engaged with a faculty member in a communications-related scholarly
and creative activity. For the purpose of this 2008-2009 award, this
engagement is meant to provide an applied-learning experience in the form of
an apprenticeship. While the apprenticeship may require scheduled time
commitments, you will not be expected to perform work duties that are not
associated with your professional and academic development. A condition of
the award is that fellows are expected to devote full-time to graduate study
and not to undertake employment during the academic year without prior
approval from the Graduate School.
To accept or decline this offer of a Fellowship, please sign the attached
form and return it to the address given at your earliest possible
convenience. If the Graduate School has not received your response by June
25th, 2008, this offer will be automatically withdrawn. If you have further
questions about this award, please call Dr. Richard Tithecott at (213)
740-9037. Questions about your program should be directed to your program
or School.
Congratulations on your academic success. I hope very much you accept our
invitation to join our community of renowned scholars at the University of
Southern California.

So I listen to alot of electronica. I do enjoy trance/bigbeat/breakbeat stuff. However, I generally tend to swing in the downtempo/chillout/idm direction, especially when it comes to purchasing albums. Therefore, if you enjoy slower electronica of any kind, BUY THESE ALBUMS:
NUMBER 6 Symbion Project - Immortal Game
Symbion Project has some insanely awesome downtempo beats on Immortal Game. Moreover, the sound is extremely diverse across the entire album. Very sexy if you're looking for a great album w/o redundancy of texture.
NUMBER 5 Apparat - Walls
Apparat is SOOO GOOD. This album contains everything from trip-hop beats, to experimental indie, to straight up rhythmic IDM. A great buy for someone who's looking to tap into more electronica.
NUMBER 4 Loess - Wind and Water
Wind and Water is a sick ambient album that I could listen to for days. It's perfect for studying, working, or idly focusing on some task. The subtle noise effects and evocative instrumentals make Wind and Water a must have!
NUMBER 3 Chris Clark - Empty the Bones of You
Hooray IDM. Chris Clark has been one of my favorite artists for as long as I can remember. I especially enjoy this album (it was my first!) due its heavy bass, extensive use of dissonance, and a really dark, hard gritty sound.
NUMBER 2 Secret Frequency Crew - The Forest of Echo Downs
The Forest of Echo Downs is my #1 recommendation for someone who doesn't listen to much electronica. It has a nice range of smooth beats, with a surprisingly large use of brass instruments in their songs (atypical of most electronica). Some pieces are more slow and contemplative, while others are fast-paced energy beatdown music.
MY NUMBER 1 FAVORITE ALBUM Trentemoller - The Last Resort
Trentemoller is the most genius musician of all time. He spends an extraordinary amount of time sculpting each individual sound in his pieces, resulting in the deepest, most unique sound i've ever heard. Every single one of his songs is littered with subtle noise effects, a healthy deep bass, sexy high end pitches, all tied together with interesting melodic structures. I love EVERY song on this 13 song album, a true rarity in music nowadays. Absolutely anyone who has EARS needs to purchase this album immediately. Trentemoller Fightiiiinng~~!!!
