Poker couldnt be better right now, climbing really fast, more than 6k$ up this month and taking some shots at NL600.

NL200 is still my main game and I will keep it until the end of the month, playing NL400 tables when the game is good there or when its late and theres less than 20 NL200 tables.

I still feel the betting is too big and not comfortable yet, though as the br grows it feels more adequate and the betting at NL200 seems smaller everyday.

Cool times, hope to keep it up, playing my A game, couple mistakes every day or so that I try to fix and never make again.

Having dinner in fancy restorants every week, tons of clothes, Wii, next trip to Europe this summer, and all its paid by the fish, funny how the food chain works :D.

2nd baddest run
  locoo, Aug 29 2007

So after my first bad run at NL100 6-max in which I broke even almost in a month of play, it was time for my second bad run after running hot for about 2 or 3 weeks.

Nl200, full ring, im up 1k since 2 weeks (was up 3k and lost roughly 2k in about 3 days or so). It hits me especially hard since I just cashed out 7k or so.

As always, seems like everyone is making a move on you, plus the usual set over set plus AK vs AQ or AT and losing, plus set on a flush board losing vs made flush and etc etc...

Not gonna complain much, im still up in the month, still feels weird because I really think sometimes im playing my A game even if I am 20-21 tabling. Just hard to get minraised everytime and such but I guess it will balance out later.

Now for the things that matter:

IMPORTANT STUFF

Getting a Wii right now, games recomendation is a must. Thanks!!

NL400 FR tables needed!
  locoo, Aug 19 2007

So im thinking about the future in poker and if things keep going like this on NL200(from 400$ to 1k$ a day winning almost everyday for the whole month, up like 6 or 7k this month, even though I have played very little comparing to the ammount of time I played the months before) I have to think about hitting the NL400 tables somewhat soon.

Ipoker network doesnt have many FR tables running at NL400 (and I dont plan to play 6-max anytime soon).

So I was wondering, does anyone know which sites have many NL400 FR tables (or at least like 10 running so I would probably play on both sites at the same time), that offer nice rakeback/bonuses and that has a good affiliating system as well?

Id be more than happy to join with whichever sign up bonus code you want if it helps you get some % of rakeback and if the site/network/bonuses suits me. Its too bad that Prima doesnt have FR tables (at least not more than like 4 at NL200)

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Confused about monies
  locoo, Aug 09 2007

I played NL200 for a while, but the amount of money just scares me... Its too much to lose, I feel.

I have 13k+ br, and I feel a little silly for still playing NL100. I guess I win about 400$ a day (sometimes much more, but very few days much less) and dont really feel the urge to go up.

Has this happened to anyone? Maybe I wait for 20k br to feel comfortable? I really dont know.

Back!! (Tons of pics)
  locoo, Aug 04 2007

Phew!, was a really amazing week (4 days), away from poker I didnt think it would be that awesome (was even planning on bringing my laptop, but i think was better without her).

Anyway, a short resume of my trip, told by pics, hope you enjoy and if your an adventurer and/or ever wanna come to Peru just ask me the details!(im not a travel agent though)

The Trip

As soon as I could see anything after I stepped out of the bus (6am) I could see what our final destination was, Nevado Pastoruri:

But first we needed some training, so at 9am of the same day we went on to the Llanganuco Lake, passing by the Puminahui Lake (Eye of Puma):

And this little fella.

We also had to stock up to resist the coldness of tomorrows mountain, so we went a little shopping, this is gf trying out her chullo:

And this is me, near the glorious Puya Raimondi, it hasnt blossomed yet though, when it does its incredibly amazing:

Ahhh finally we arrived at the Lake, rented a boat and went deep!

We also ate something and finally came back to town:

Cant really provide pics of the night since this site is also visited by minors :$.

After we healed up it was time to face our real challenge.

We took the bus and 2 hours later we were right at the base. Look at all the pussies on horses! On foot we conquer!

Fuck yeah! (translation : Hard access, but not impossible)

Finally!, where the fun begins...

We have to go all the way up there? ugh...

We made it, so sick!!!

Not as sick as this dude though

We did it, now we can relax on the last day and do some minor adventures:

So that was most of my trip, had a blast really, cant quickly remember the last time I had so much fun. Delicious food and great weather revived myself from the laptop I was always staring at.

Anyway Im back now and will probably update in couple of weeks, hope things go smooth with my poker addiction.

GOOD BYE!

Trip + Poker
  locoo, Jul 27 2007

So, things have been going pretty good last weeks

Making very decent money at NL100/NL200 (I started 15~20 tabling full ring+6max and its done wonders to my rakeback and play - seems like 8~10 tabling I was getting bored and impatient so I started doing stupid things - , 1k rakeback this week, insane).

So I cashed out 1.4k or so leaving me with roughly ~9k, to make a little trip (actually the trip will just be like, 300 TOPS, will use the rest at casinos and other shit I guess).

I plan on going with 4 more friends + girlfriend to my dads hometown, this Incredible place called Huaraz here in Peru.

Background looks like a paint doesnt it? its just so awesome I used to stare at it thinking "wow someone must have drawn this, seems so fake".

First day we gonna go to this lake called Llanganuco Lake

and the next day we go to Pastoruri and my friends will see snow for the first time in their lives (Ive been here before like 20 times ~~).

Dunno if we will visit the ruins

Hope not, I mean its cool the first and 2nd time, but I dont wanna go again XD.

Anyway I just hope that I get some pictures so I can post here.

I also plan a trip to Europe or maybe Egypt, Im still unsure. and Hope things keep going like this!.

Thats it for now, Behave~!

PD : Call I tell some people I meet that Im a pro poker player? Or do pros have sponsors and shit and im just a grinder? I just dunno what to tell people where I do get my money from hehe anyway c yas.

and this

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/235320 <-- why the fuck do u minraise with GUTSHOT? and why the fuck do you CHECK ur straight on turn wtf... I totally put him on a flush draw on flop, esp after checking turn, but kind of knew I was beat on turn when he minraised again :s, had outs though.

I decided Im just not lucky enough to play 6-hanedd for now, maybe will try in the future. So I decided something fresh and went on to play NL200 full ring (since my br was at 6k anyway).

Won 1k, br now 7k. I feel so much better at full ring, just nitty play and getting paid seems good enough for me.

Will check blog again at the end of the month, FR grinder 4 life~

Love shorthanded games though, I wish I was better at them 8/

Poker rules
  locoo, Jul 01 2007

Great news, I feel like im playing the best I can, I could obv play better but I think Im getting max value from my hands and squeezing and repoping and RE-repoping good PF. My strenght is PF no doubt, after the flop I still have some issues but Im doing good there too.

Bad news is Im still running like shit, but I dont care anymore, its just variance and when it comes my way I know I can win from 500$+ in a day. I just have to be patient.

Some yucky hands:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/221980 wow I hit set and since its not a reraised pot I must be facing 88, cOOL! , SHIP!... wtf?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/222220 my disguise worked!, ive been repoping so much that now he thinks I have AK or worse, SHIP!...

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/222221 I think Im beat or will get outdrawn.. Still I just cant fold with so much in the pot... turn good... river seems ok since no one that put money in the pot on flop raise Preflop... oh wait!

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/222222 As soon as I saw the turn I knew I lost.

Even after all that im breakeven for today which is excellent I think.

Somehow Im winning even in this horrible run thats already lasting ~3 weeks, I didnt know Rekruls interview would inspire me so, but it did, the most important thing is to deal with the fact that shit can and will happen.

Good luck and play good! (ull need both)

PS : I also did some shots at NL200 without much success, just 40 hands or so though, good thing is there seems to be a lot of fish there as well , cant wait

Somehow it feels a little weird to just lose 100$ like that (buy-in), that was like my whole bankroll 5 months ago, hoping to play with the whole bankroll I have right now like that in a year or so
