So after I was struggling a little at NL100, I played a few big pots with GawdAwful and learned the importance of strong PF play and making strong decisions before the flop.

After this lesson I really picked up my game and went from down 4 buy-ins to down 1 by the end of the session. I'm going to give NL100 6max 1 more try tomorrow, and if I drop below $3k I'll move down to NL50 and keep crushing there.

This was a very informative learning session tonight that I'm thankful for.

NL50 n NL100
  NeillyJQ, Sep 03 2007

Today I spent most the day grinding NL50, was even after 6 hrs and decided to take a shot at NL100 to see how the competition was there.

I played pretty well today, had a few minutes on NL50 where I made some mistakes and pissed away my profits for the day, right after lunch my focus wasn't too good..

I ended up losing 3/4 BI at NL100, coulda went worse I guess. Had one hand that took me from a win to a loss;
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/264469

All in all, I think I can beat the NL100 games on a more focused mind, after 3,500 hands on NL50 I was a little burnt out.

Heres my stats from tonight;

NL50
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 3286 hands and saw flop:
- 284 out of 650 times while in big blind (43%)
- 112 out of 663 times while in small blind (16%)
- 225 out of 1973 times in other positions (11%)
- a total of 621 out of 3286 (18%)
Pots won at showdown - 80 of 151 (52%)
Pots won without showdown - 446

NL100
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 1132 hands and saw flop:
- 64 out of 206 times while in big blind (31%)
- 21 out of 209 times while in small blind (10%)
- 70 out of 717 times in other positions (9%)
- a total of 155 out of 1132 (13%)
Pots won at showdown - 22 of 45 (48%)
Pots won without showdown - 169

Gonna go take a break, maybe play some more NL100 later tonight.

Sunday Night session
  NeillyJQ, Sep 02 2007

Tonight I took most of the day off and relaxed/lounged around the house. I planned on taking the whole night off, but got the juicing flowing to play around 8 o'clock.

This was a great decision, I logged on and was playing my best from start to finish. I finished the session up big, and quit when I felt my focus and drive starting to slip a little bit. Theres always another day, no reason to push myself to play when I'll be wanting to play again tomorrow.

I'm really looking forward to my first full week on NL50 6max, its been treating me very well, and I've been improving drastically everyday.

Heres my stats from todays session;

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 2394 hands and saw flop:
- 212 out of 460 times while in big blind (46%)
- 77 out of 460 times while in small blind (16%)
- 167 out of 1474 times in other positions (11%)
- a total of 456 out of 2394 (19%)
Pots won at showdown - 83 of 133 (62%)
Pots won without showdown - 321

And best of all, I'm super close to SuperNoVa!

NL50 & Final Table & Analysis
  NeillyJQ, Sep 01 2007

Today was a great day, I woke up n watched the WPT Legends Of Poker, then go to my session at around 2:00.

I started the day on a stretch of serious coolers, losing 3 buy-ins in 5 minutes. No worries though, took a few minute break and came back to try again.

Things really heated up for me after the break and I won back what I lost, and kept the grind on. I decided to play in some tournies as well, and got to the FT of a $20 180 man SnG to finish 5th for $250. At the end of this tourney RainKhan saw the rail thread I had up, and msn'd me and railed along. He taught me about 200% more about FT poker than I knew in about 5 seconds. This guys a genius when it comes to tourney poker, its a given why hes FT'ing the WSOP ME.

A great day to say the least, up about 10 buy-ins by the end of the session with the cash & tournament winnings put together.

Heres my stats from todays cash session;

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 3714 hands and saw flop:
- 321 out of 740 times while in big blind (43%)
- 124 out of 742 times while in small blind (16%)
- 230 out of 2232 times in other positions (10%)
- a total of 675 out of 3714 (18%)
Pots won at showdown - 116 of 173 (67%) *BALLIN*
Pots won without showdown - 421

Heres alot of key hands I played (pots of 60BB+)

vs mckh and xxmelvin1 - Best hand of the day by far, and my biggest pot in the last couple months. I call mxkh's raise PF with 99 oop, and melvin comes along. Check flop that brings a straight, a flush draw, and multiple open enders. mxkh continuation bets very strong, and I reraise from OOP trying to represent a hand like JQs, or TPTK. To my suprise melvin calls all this action and mckh reshoves! I instantly call with my set and we take this to the river. Lovin this pot!

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/262911

vs Milan8 - UTG shorty pops it up, I call with 55 knowing theres alot of bigstacks at the table that will like to play with me here. Bigstack repops it to $7, I lick my lips and we head to a flop. I lead my set on the flop for a PSB trying to induce the FD to reshove or have any overpair stack off. Guy behind me reshoves and I instacall to take down the pot.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/263041

vs VictorFH - This guy was playing back at me constantly for the first hour at the table, and I was giving him a ton of respect. Then saw one of the hands he showed down at the river was 56os in MP. After that, he lost all my respect and I couldn't really believe any of his bets. He minraises in MP and I reraise to isolate with AQs. Flop comes K93 and he donkbets out 1.50 into a pot of $10. At this point I feel like I'm probably ahead of a gutshot straight draw or he something like bottom pair so I call. Turn brings out nothing and he donkbets small again. I'm thinking he obv has nothing since hes not betting to protect vs the draws out there so I call again. I river my ace and it brings out a flush. He donkbets $25 into the pot, but it makes no sense he would bet that with the flush since he would want value. So I call and see his 58os and scoop the pot. weee

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/263037

vs BosesGenie - Boses opens in MP 4x and I repop with AA IP. I flop top set and figure he can't really have an ace so I check behind. turn brings out a queen, and its time to bet. I drop out a 3/4 pot bet and get called. On the river he checks and I fire out a strong bet trying to rep JJ stealing or smthing and he reshoves for $3 more with QK. Weee

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/263000

vs NineMil - I open raise 88 in MP and get called in the BB. He donks out on the K8x flop and its pretty obvious he has QK/AK. I reraise to build the pot and he calls. Turn brings another junk card. I bet $13 into a $19 pot, hoping that if he calls the pot will be $45, which will get his last $27 in easy based on pot odds (27/73 river he can't really fold a king) He does me a favor and reshoves though, so I take it down vs his AK.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/262961

vs cutslother - he open limps UTG and I isolate with A7s IP. I flop the slot machine 777 and lead strong trying to rep a cont bet with two face cards. He falls for the bait and we're off to the turn. Turn brings a gutshot that completes and a flush draw. He leads oop for an 80% pot bet. At this point I have a decision, does he have the flush? I didn't think so, I think he woulda checked it or bet it smaller for value, so I make the optimal shove. I expected him to have AT with the As or a hand similiar to that, but he shows down A6os with the As..lol..sweet

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/262943

vs Baby1 - LOL!

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/262962

vs Phobia101 - button raises and I repop to 3.2x PF, and he calls. I flop TPTK and lead strong, get called and figure he has a weaker ace, maybe even AQ for top two. Turn comes out and his stack is same as potsize so I shove and get called by JQ. River top two not that I needed it, sweet.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/262938

vs ezymonyp - I open raise A6h otb and get called by a laggy player in the sb. I flop gin and lead strong. He reraises me even stronger and I flat in position to discuise the strength of my hand. He open shoves when the turn pairs the 4, its pretty obvious he didn't have a boat or he woulda bet for value, so I instacall! TOO BAD! RIVER 4, his top pair turns into a fucking boat hahahhaaha. oh well.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/262877

vs ezymonyp - I raise 45s to isolate a adam UTG. We both have $70 stacks, the implied odds seem good enough. I get reraised light IP by ezymonyp and call as he gave me good odds to crack his hand. I flop two pair on a flush board and it goes check check (was going to check-raise him strong on the flop). Turn brings a 3, and I lead the pot. He instantly reraises strong and I shove, figuring him for an overpair or TPTKwAd. He has AA and rivers a diamond, wahh wahh.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/262875

vs duffryder7 - I isolate the limper with 77 IP and get called. Flop my set on a board that contains a flush draw, straight draw and a Q for top pair. He donks out strong OOP and I repop 3x his bet. On the turn we get it in and my set over set dominates his. Like what.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/262545

vs Seanrabi09 - I just sat at this table behind a superstack in seanrabi09. I decide I wanna atleast take a big chunk of it and reraise him IP to isolate his minraise PF with 46s.
He calls and I flop an open ender. I bet out fairly weak to see if he has a King or air, he reraises so its sure he has a king. I flat and turn gin. He checks, I know he has a king, I bet 14 leaving 24 to get in on the river and he reshoves me. I got the nuts dude, the nuts. CALL. Weee

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/262529

Thats most of the big pots I've played in the last couple days, very happy w/ the results and look forward to continuing NL50 6max. I've been loving it here and running fairly well most of the time as well.

Gonna go watch some TV, drink a beer n relax.

NL50 Night Session
  NeillyJQ, Aug 31 2007

Tonight I fired the tables back up and started a night session on NL50 6max. I started out very poorly losing a big pot with AA vs KT, where a river king lost me a buy-in. Shortly after the same player hit flush over flush on me and sent me reloading. I made sure to keep my composure after these beats, and kept focus on the hands infront of me.

Within a short period of time I managed to win back what I lost and then some, finishing the night up a cool 3 buy-ins. Heres my stats from tonights session;

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 1539 hands and saw flop:
- 131 out of 317 times while in big blind (41%)
- 50 out of 317 times while in small blind (15%)
- 86 out of 905 times in other positions (9%)
- a total of 267 out of 1539 (17%)
Pots won at showdown - 46 of 74 (62%)
Pots won without showdown - 216

I'll try to post analysis of alot of my winning and losing hands tomorrow afternoon, be sure to check em out.

6max so comfortable
  NeillyJQ, Aug 31 2007

Today I had my 2nd day on 6max and I ran and played very well. I put my opponents to alot of tests today and got paid off on literally half of my high premium hands. I finished the day up about 7 buy-ins.

I'll be playing almost all 6max for now on. It feels as if I've been a 6max player playing full-ring for the last year now, nice to be home ;-)

Heres my stats from today;

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 2417 hands and saw flop:
- 184 out of 432 times while in big blind (42%)
- 79 out of 447 times while in small blind (17%)
- 169 out of 1538 times in other positions (10%)
- a total of 432 out of 2417 (17%)
Pots won at showdown - 59 of 106 (55%)
Pots won without showdown - 317

I'm gonna go relax for a bit, maybe play later tonight.

First Day of 6max
  NeillyJQ, Aug 30 2007

I started the night off @ fullring tonight, but was getting alot of bad luck and decided to try something new.

I opened up 12 6max NL50 tables and started the grind. Too my suprise, I found that 6max fits my style way more because of my aggressive nature at the poker tables.
I used SakiSaki's NL400 6max video as a learning tool, and watched it numerous times about 4-6 months ago. This really helped my strategy as I had it memorized and I followed it well.

I read plaxyers very well during this session as well, and got back into the green for the day, up almost 3 more buy-ins.

I'm looking forward to playing alot more 6max, maybe even switching to be fulltime there.

Heres my best hand @ NL50 today;
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/261925

Heres my stats from tonight;

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 2659 hands and saw flop:
- 199 out of 491 times while in big blind (40%)
- 88 out of 498 times while in small blind (17%)
- 195 out of 1670 times in other positions (11%)
- a total of 482 out of 2659 (18%)
Pots won at showdown - 51 of 106 (48%)
Pots won without showdown - 344

Playing at 18% is pretty fun, I really enjoyed it.

Handing variance at 6max is something I'll be training to be more acustom to, but I don't feel like it will be a problem at all.

Tons of bad beats were thrown at me during this session, but no sweat, kept composure and the tables swung up~

Going to go watch some TV n get some sleep soon,

Mission to Supernova (PT.2)
  NeillyJQ, Aug 29 2007

After moving up to NL50, my mission is going much faster.

I got 7,277 FPP until I hit supernova, and 1700 FPP left to maintain platinumstar for next month. At this pace I should hit supernova in 8-10 days. Woo~

On another note, my roll has taken some severe beatdowns in the last week, as I've managed to get sucked out on in just about every way possible, but I'm still comfortable at NL50 and hope it will swing up soon. I feel as if I could run fairly decent I'd be up 10-20 buy-ins right now, but I'm down some..

If I hit less than $1,200 I'll move down to NL25 and build back to $1,750 and try again.

I can feel a good run right around the corner, soon I hope.

GL everyone,
gonna go watch some TV n relax, cya tomorrow
