NL200 continues
  NeillyJQ, Sep 27 2007

I've been asked alot why I'm shortstacking NL200, and theres a few factors to why;

I feel more comfortable on a $100 buy-in
The Salamanca casino near my house has $100 max 1/2, so im used to it.
The players aren't that great
I can sustain a nice winrate there

Heres my stats from today;
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 2741 hands and saw flop:
- 139 out of 414 times while in big blind (33%)
- 70 out of 406 times while in small blind (17%)
- 199 out of 1921 times in other positions (10%)
- a total of 408 out of 2741 (14%)
Pots won at showdown - 64 of 125 (51%)
Pots won without showdown - 328

and the night session
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 1107 hands and saw flop:
- 57 out of 154 times while in big blind (37%)
- 26 out of 154 times while in small blind (16%)
- 71 out of 799 times in other positions (8%)
- a total of 154 out of 1107 (13%)
Pots won at showdown - 21 of 38 (55%)
Pots won without showdown - 149

And a little graph

Selling my laptop
  NeillyJQ, Sep 24 2007

My desktop is all I need, I intend to trick it out with duel 20+inch LCD's..

This laptop can't connect to my free wireless from my house (off a neighboring connection), so I figure its better to just get rid of it.

Its in perfect shape and runs extremely well, its an acer.
You can see it here; (Can connect to cable / wireless / 56k)

any of you can buy it from me via a pokerstars.com transfer.
I bought it for $430 + S&H, I'm asking for $330 + S&H

I've used it twice.
Got it because I was planning on moving to Taiwan, and would need a poker machine. I decided to get a new apartment in my hometown though.

Let me know if you want it;

NL100 and life
  NeillyJQ, Sep 21 2007

After cashing out 5k, I ordered a nice Acer 1.6ghz 533 mhz laptop wireless and cable connection built in.

The systems nice, getting used to vista is pretty nice too.

I left myself $175 online and have built up to $1,800.
I'm playing on NL100 right now, and if I hit $1,500 I'll drop down and build up.

I'm going to consistantly do this until my roll hits atleast $2,500, then I should have a very nice comfort level at NL100.

Something thats been bothering me, but at the start of every single session I've been dropping 2-3 buy-ins before winning anything, by an extremely cold deck. Tonight I took matters into my own hands when I was running so bad and made a few very nice plays to help sustain my winrate.

Here they are;
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/277685
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/277683
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/277682
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/277681

Unfortunately, I'm still down 1.2 BI since moving up over the course of 5k hands.

I also just got pokertracker which is extremely sweet.
My PAHud isn't showing stats on the table though, if anyone knows how to fix it plese let me know.

I'm moving into my new apartment tomorrow and for the remainder of the weekend. Its a really nice 1 bedroom place, got a 32inch TV going in there along with my workstation. (Although I probably won't use it much since I just got this new laptop)

On another note, FPP's are coming in at a very fast pace. I ended up using a bonus on stars a few days ago, and already have 10,500 FPP in the bank from the last two days.

(Around 6k hands during that time frame)

I'm going to spend the next month solidifying myself as a NL100 player, and hope to learn to dominate there on a daily basis.

Nice to be back bloggin;

I'll keep it updated with some in-depth hand analysis one or two times a week.

PS - goin to buy a PS3 when I hit 50k FPP and take the 650 bonus. Pumped

Achieving Goals
  NeillyJQ, Sep 04 2007

The last two days have been great days for me.

First check this out;
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/265231

And to whats up;

Yesterday I reached supernova, which I've been trying to do for the last few months.

Today I reached $5.5k, which allows me to cash out $5k via bank wire transfer (ty pokerstars support), and leave myself $500 + 650 bonus I'll clear in just a few thousand more FPP's.

Its been a mission since I started playing again to save enough to move back to Taiwan, to teach english part-time and play poker part-time from home. Now I can make this dream a reality, and start preparing to leave soon.

Its been a really tough grind over the last month, with tons of up and downs, and with LP's help I prevailed. WooHoo!

So, starting tomorrow, I'm going to cash out the vast majority of my bankroll for my airplane ticket, visa, and apartment in Taiwan.

I'll go back down to NL50 and grind back up the limits from there, which will be nice.

In the last week, I've grown 10 fold as a player and have learned the importance of strong preflop play, as well as putting my oponents to tests. But most of all, I started playing the calmest, most patient poker of my life.

So it looks like this is my last month in the good ol USA for a long while, I'll make sure I enjoy it to the fullest.

I learned a ton playing the 6max NL100 - NL200 games as well, which has helped me drastically when I went over to full-ring, handling the aggressive players and isolating / taking pots from weak PF raisers.

Heres my stats from tonight; (my last session on NL200 for probably 2-5 weeks)

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 1111 hands and saw flop:
- 71 out of 144 times while in big blind (49%)
- 18 out of 138 times while in small blind (13%)
- 60 out of 829 times in other positions (7%)
- a total of 149 out of 1111 (13%)
Pots won at showdown - 24 of 32 (75%)
Pots won without showdown - 87

And to all you naysayers out there that were saying "YOUR GONNA GO BROKE", the whole time I would never have let my bankroll go below $3,000, I was making an extreme concious effort to not go wrong where I did in the past.

Now its all about dominating, and NL200 is where my comfort zone was at, which is why thats where I played.

I'm gonna take the rest of the night off,

GL everyone,
Ryan (DReaMe) *still SuperNoVa!

NL100 naw, NL200
  NeillyJQ, Sep 04 2007

I started the day off at NL100 and was running extremely bad "WHAT THE FUCK" bad, lol.

After winning back alot of my loses, I was looking at the NL200 tables and saw most of the tables were full of half-stacked donks.

I pondered on playing with the NL100 players grinding for there rent money, or playing with NL200 half-stacked donks and took the better choice.

During this decision, I told myself if I drop below $3k I'll move down to NL50 6max during the day and NL100 at night.

The session started out with me dropping to $2950 and a decision. I decided to play a little longer, and if I lost anymore I would drop down immediately. Luckily for me, the tables stopped abusing me and I finally swung up.

This was a great day for me, I learned how to play the dimension at these tables very well, and crushed on multiple tables. I finished the day with a $1,308 stack on one table, and multiple $400 stacks on others.

I'm going to continue to play NL200 6max, with great table selection and try to avoid as many regs as possible.

Heres my stats from today;

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 2619 hands and saw flop:
- 169 out of 499 times while in big blind (33%)
- 64 out of 499 times while in small blind (12%)
- 155 out of 1621 times in other positions (9%)
- a total of 388 out of 2619 (14%)
Pots won at showdown - 62 of 102 (60%)
Pots won without showdown - 408

and a few nice pots;

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/264988
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/264953
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/264943

I'm having as much fun playing now as when I just started out, and look forward to learning to beat the NL100/NL200 6max games everyday.

Time for a break,
GL everyone,
Ryan (DReaMe) *SuperNoVa

  NeillyJQ, Sep 04 2007

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/264873
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/264872
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/264866
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/264859

all in the matter of 20 fucking minutes...
I'm totally ready for NL100, too bad the deck won't let me play here.

I'm going to play a little more here, if I lose $150 more I'm done at NL100 until I rebuild to $3500 though...this is fucked

SUPERNOVA
  NeillyJQ, Sep 04 2007

I reached supernova finally!

After finishing my session earlier, I was practically fiending to get back on NL100. The sessions here are so much fun its ridiculous, the spirit of the game is flowing in me hard now that I'm in such an action packed game.

Heres my stats from the session;

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 1803 hands and saw flop:
- 96 out of 338 times while in big blind (28%)
- 35 out of 338 times while in small blind (10%)
- 111 out of 1127 times in other positions (9%)
- a total of 242 out of 1803 (13%)
Pots won at showdown - 28 of 59 (47%)
Pots won without showdown - 245

It felt so cool to go supernovasayian for the first time, even the hair on my arms is yellow now, lol.

On that note, I'm goin to bed, finally.

GL everyone,
Ryan
