So after rakeback, MTT's and everything I've done about 2k euro/month so far since january. I guess it's nice and everything, but it's far below what I expected. Now, I think I've been running like total crap the last few weeks at 3/6, but on the other hand I probably ran well above expectation for a while too. My new goal is to get my head on straight and study a bit for the exam and then grind out like 10-15k on 1/2 during the summer. Much less stressful.
I'd really like to be a successful reg at high midstakes but this is the 2nd time I've been playing it and breaking even over a decent sample so I'm pretty sure I should concentrate on making a good and easy living for a while and then try out higher stakes in a few months if I feel like it.
I guess the bottenline is that I'm not good enough to ride out a decent downswing at midstakes so I should just keep playing vs retards and make money without all the stress and variance. I feel like Big_Rob and that other dude has a nice way of grinding out a living and I'll just copy them instead of trying to move up all the time. It's not like I'm close to as good as most of the mid stakes people here anyway.
I think my last days are best described by a couple of hands. I know that I played the KK hands kinda bad but I wanted to induce since I had the backdoor fd too.
I'm still somewhat rolled for 3/6 but I guess I'll move down and grind it out for a while. I need to study for my exams too so I can't really play that much anyway.
Finally got my bankroll over 25k €. Now I only need to dubble that and then I can take some shots at 5/10. Gotta stop spewing so much before that though. I'm running pretty good and if I keep this up I might have my biggest winning month ever which would be really great with the summer coming up. I'd really love to be properly rolled for 5/10 (100k USD?) before the year is over.
I recently made a video of me pwning up microstakes with stats like 54/48/4 or something similar. I need someone to tell me how I get the filesize down though. I'm using camstatia but it's like 650 mb or something :/
Life's really good, Law school is going good enough, I'm stakeing some dude who's killing NL20 and thanks to him I play longer sessions and such. He's actually a pretty good handreader and makes some really sick calls. It's mostly variance I guess but every time I see him calling 3rd pair for stacks he seems to be good.
A couple of weeks ago I meet some anorectic girl who apparently lives like 50 meters from me. She's cool as hell and great to hang out with, but she's kinda weird. Really +ev investment though, apparently she's been somewhat healthy for like a year and a half and according to teh internetz she should start gaining weight soon and it's my Layman's Opinion that she'll look really great if she puts on some weight. I talked a bit to Sanai about it and he's a really smart kid. When he gets the hang of poker I'm sure he'll move up quickly. If you see him post hands do me a favor and comment on them, I know that he's been a huge contributer to other forums about other things then poker so it's probably a good idea to invest some time in helping him now. He'll probably pwn us all in a couple of years .
Only like 3 weeks untill the finals and if I do decent enough on them I'll have like 3 months of sun, bathing, poker, hanging out with old friends and partying. <3.
Brag: Turned stuck 3k into up about 2k in a couple of days, finally in the green for May. Mid stakes is ez. (joking, no sample size, running good^^)
Beat: Can't win at 1/2 :/,down like 800 for the month.
Variance: Stakeing project is going well. Might actually have someone to play CCR with within like a year.
So I'm stakeing a friend of mine and I'm also coaching him a fair bit. It took him 3 days of playing on unibet before he made a far sicker calldown then I've ever done...
So my dryspell finally ended, I made some money (like 4k €?) on poker and I got to play a fair bit of mid stakes. The winrate was ok but the number of hands patethic. I'm a bit hungover and I'll start the drinking in about 45 minutes again. Hopefully I'll run into saki or some pretty girl. So happy that I've had 2 decent months in a row, now I can concentrate a bit on some other shit too. GL all.
I lost my damn leather jacket again last Thursday. I went back to the place last Friday and asked them if I could just pick it up and they told me that they didn't know where it was but that everything people had forgot there would be placed in some kind of "lost and found"-basket next Monday. I fucking hate that place and I'm always losing my jacket anyway so I think it might be cursed or something and I'm strongly contemplating just getting a new one instead.
