Okay so i will leave ipoker for a while and withdraw all money but 120$ and start from NL 10 at another site again
I am totally fed up with Poker lately.
I just cant win a fucking hand on Ipoker for my Life.
95% of the money i lose is
I get it in being 81-18 favourite and still lose like 75% + of this hands
This has happend far too often at Ipoker lately that i can still play the site without going mentally ...
I dont care if this happens like 3 times in 1K hands session
I dont care if it happens like 10 times in a downswing of liek 3-4 sessions
But it just happens all the time every session for over 20K hands now and i just cant stand it anymore
Unfortunately i Lost my fight after 3x3 minute rounds with descision.
Conculusion.
1.) I made a lot of mistakes and could have won the fight at many points but failed to stay concentrated
2.) I had hell of fun weekend
3.) Polish emergency hospitalization > german emergency hospitalization
There is a video filmed by my teammates but i am pretty sure i want to keep it for myself and analyze mistakes rather than showing it around ^^
Okay now some short summerize of what happend
We went of to Poland at 5pm German time with a team of 9 fighters 2 trainers and 3 "Betreuer" ( Whats the english word for it ?)
spread over 3 cars.
We did need an exhausting 8h of driving till we arrived at the hotel.
When we finally arrived we realized that there was no place in our area where u can get food at 2o clock am ....
So we went to bed hungry ...
Weight in was next day at 12o clock (fights were at 4pm)so we also didnt get breakfast to eat ....
At this momment i was pretty pissed at the organisation cause normally i expected the weight-in to be earlier so that u can eat healthy the morning before the fight.
Also i was not used to not finding a fucking place where u can get food at 2am.
Well after the weight in the Organisator of this event brought our Team to a very nice restaurant where we had an incredible meal !
I am not sure if its a good idea to eat that much 3h before the fight >-< but the meal was just incredible good + incredible cheap + we havent had something to eat for more than 16hours ...
Hell Polish restaurants >>>>> German restaurants
prices were a joke (like 3,40 euro for a big and super nice meal)+ food was delicious and big size.
After the meal we went to the fighting place and prepared a bit.
The fight
I have allready watched most parts of the fight on video with my teammates directly after the event.
Unfortunately i had the first fight of the day which worked a bit to my disadvantage being in an unknown country not understanding any word of the language. It also was my first MMA fight vs a totally unknown opponent! ( I had only fought people of my Gym before which is totally different , since i know their strentgh + weakness and train with them all time)
So all in all i guess i was maybe a bit to overwhelmed from all the impressions.
Fight started , wie touched gloves and i opend with a left right -> lowkick combo.
I saw him buckle a bit on his fron leg when i hit him with my shin and wanted to continue with a left hook.
unfortunately he stopped my movement with a short jab directly followed by a big knee to my chin and another knee to my face.
I felt like getting hit by a monstertruck and and wobbled a bit.
then i hear the referee shouting -> stop ! doctor .... doctor ... whatever.
And i was like hell hopefully i can fight on since i dont really know what happend and i dont feel pain >_<
The knee had directly hit me on the chin and there was blood everywhere from the Cut i got + there was lots of blood from my nose when the second knee hit ....
next 4 minutes ... i got checked by the doctor. They checked if my Nose is broken and if my Cut is too big to let me fight on.
After some arguing my Trainers and I + Doctor came to conclusion that i can continue the fight.
I got some tissue in my nose and some spray + patch on my chin.
When i went in to continue the fight my opponent really felt liek he will end this first round and unleashed a flury of punches and i dont know how often i got hit ... but i had a hard time doing anything but being a punching ball still being wobbly from the knees...
But i managed to survive round1 that i clearly lost
Round 2 i kinda got back into the game i landed some combinations and took my opponent down to the ground with some nice takedowns several times.
I had 2 submission attempts that only failed due to me not being concentrated enought
1nd Time i had him in an armbar but somehow didnt finish it properly so he stood up and pushed me off his arm.
2nd Time i was close to finishing a Footlock when i hear the 2nd round bell ring ....
I was like fuuuuuuuuck i almost had him and then round is over ...
I went back to my corner and my Trainer really made me hopes : He was talking like : great comeback i am proud of u ! he is almost done .. u won teh round -> keep going.
The problem was , that i was really done , too
I could hardly breath + move and all my muscles felt sour ( I guess all teh blood in my nose really was a big obstacle to find teh right breathing while fighting.
So i go into the third round and i cant really remember much what happend. ( havent seen it in video)
We traded a few punches and kicks and somehow eventuelly i hear a bell ring and fight was over.
We go to judges descision and the referee held up my opponents arm ...
then i realize there is blood everywehere
On my Body , on his body , on the ground and i started to feel happy even though i lost ^^
I was like " well i fucked it up but at least hell yeha it was a fucking bloodbath ^^"
Then i go to my teammates and everybody comes to tell me i showed great heart and stuff ( well always everybody does that no matter how good or shitty u fought ^^)
Then i took a shower and was driven to a nearby emergency hospitalization.
I got 4 stiches on my chin + tetanus injection and then went back to the place were my teammates fought.
I watched their fights and really enjoyed it and the longer i was sitting there i really enjoyed the momment.
It felt so fucking good.
This was one of the best parties i have ever been and it felt so nice !
at the evening all the fighters of our team to the fighters of the other teams went out to party and we drunk till next morning
We were like 25 MMA fighters being in the same club . haha ^^
What all those Karate ,Aikido, Taekwondo and Jiu Jitsu guys mostly dont know =
Fighting hurts
It hurts a lot.
real fighting means feeling pain, no matter if u lose or win the fight
there was some funny scene in my martial arts life i wont ever forget.
1 year ago at my University i met a classmate whos a traditional Taekwondo blackbelt who also studies sports science.
We did some partner practice with shinpads on !
One of us would kick with the shinbone to teh body and the other one would block it with both forearms turning the upper body into the kick.
So he kicked and i blocked. He kicked like a weak pussy since he wasnt used to full contact.
I asked him to kick really hard since there cant happen anything bad with protection pads on.
He kicked hard to my body with his shinbone and i blocked the kick with both bones of my forearms turning into the kick.
Next view seconds he was lying on the floor like screaming in pain......
I was really really surprised asked him : WTF is wrong here ? U kicked me and now u whine like a girl cause u feel pain ?
he told me that he has so much pain at his shinbone now that he cant do a 3rd kick ... and that we should change now and i do the kicking stuff while he is blocking.
I did a shinbone kick to his body with shin protection on and he did the exact same block i did before.
This time again he was screaming : Stop stop my foreamrs hurt like hell ....
This was some very enlightening momment for me.
Some people who have the tiltle of being a master at Martial Arts dont know the most basic thing about fighting. It hurts !
There are Blackbelts in traditional Martial arts out there who dont know the most simple basic principle about real fighting. It hurts.
Plz dont call out on me being an asshole who hurts people.
1.) He is a blackbelt and did traditional martial arts for 7 years !!!!
2.) we had protections on !!!!
3.) i did the same excersice with my MMA partners 100 times and nobody ever complained !
So u may ask :
If fighting hurts that much then why would u ever do it.
Dont u feel pain while fighting ?
Well i feel pain while fighting.
If u get kneed to the body ellbowed to the head or simply ure low kick gets blocked by opponents shinbone ( without protection in a ring)... it does amazingly hurt.
So why do u still fight when u feel pain while doing it.
Its kinda strange.
For the most part u get kinda used to it and after a while u simply dont care about the pain.
U get hit hard and feel like : " WOW fuck this hurts" for a split second and then after that moment where u realize the pain u simply dont care about it anymore. And get back to the exciting fun part
Here is a nice video about MMA with a fitting NIN song.
My reason for writing this is that at the moment i feel quite a lot of pain at like 20 different places of my body.
And this always reminds me of the funny story with the taekwondo blackbelt
Havent played poker for 1 week.
Simple reason is i didnt find any time.
University did start again at 13th October and therfore i was all buisy with MMA and University so far.
My fight is on 24th October which is 7 days to go
MMA fight preperation is like 92% finished now after going through 8(7) weeks of intense training
I trained 5times a week each session 2-3,5 hours for 4 weeks. After that i had an 10 day break to recover energy ( just some light shadowbxing for 1h 2 times a weak and a bit of relaxed running)
Then i had 2 weeks of unreal hard training. I was really pushed to the maximum of my current condition abilities by my trainers. ( I am pretty sure i can go higher in the future though.)
Since this week ( which is the 8th week of our preparation shedule) its time for (semi)recovery again
Most of our training at the momment is relaxed BJJ rolling on the ground.
tbh i almost feel burned out atm. and really really exhausted.
But since i have another 7days of recovery to come i guess it will be all fine again
I learned so much in these 8 weeks that i am pretty sure i would destroy myself of 8 weeks ago easly to hell in less than 1 round.
my stand up game has improved a ton
And i feel save and happy about it.
What i am a little worried right now is my ground game ...
Sometimes i get caught into submissions too easily ....
I dont think my Groundgame is bad . I think its kinda risky though most of the time.
I am not sure if its a general difference between groundgame and stand up that u can lose to inferior opponents a higher percentage or if just my fundamentals in stand up are a lot better than in ground fighting.
Like when i do MuayThai style hard sparring vs an inferior opponent i dominate the whole match and never feel in danger.
When i do BJJ sparring on the ground vs. an inferior opponent i dominate most of the time and win most of the matches.
But like 15% of the time i get caught in some submission and have to tap even to an overall ground game less skilled opponent.
Like on Wednesday i had 10 BJJ sparring rounds vs a 84KG guy who is mainly a Kyokushin fighter and has very little knowledge of BJJ.
The intention of this sparring was that i must use lots of tequniue vs his strength and weight advantage.
68KG vs 84KG
It was very interetsing since i have a lot more knowledge about groudn fighting than him and he is a lot stronger.
I won 6-4 on submissions overall ( I successfully finished 3 foot locks 2 armbars ( from guard) and 1 Guillotine)
He won 3 times with arm triangle and 1 time with armbar.
And that was the not so funny part ^^
I got armbared by a tequnically much worse person
I hope my groudngame will improve with the next training sessions ,)
I have Friday , Saturday,SUnday , Monday , Wednesday for 5x 2 hours easy BJJ rolling and tequnique to go before the fight.
I really feel like slowly the old PPlusAD who owned the shit outta NL50 is comming back.
I think overall i played a really good session and made lots of good descisions.
Cant play more hands now since i have to concentrate on MMA for the rest of the day.
4 straight winning days in a row !
ship
So last sessions :
7th October + 73$ ... 2K hands
8th October + 134$ ... 2K hands
9th October + 83$ ... 800 hands
10th october+ 153$ ... 1,1K hands
SO basically what did i change compared to when i had my hudge downswing where i lost like 1 buy in in 100 hands ?
basically nothing >-<
I spew a bit less here and there but besides that i play absolutely the same and just dont get fucked over by the dealer anymore that much
GL ALL
On a side note:
Had a phone conversation with my MMA Buddy earlier in teh morning
Unfortunately hegot suspended by doctor for 1 month from Full contact Training
There is no way in hell he will fight in 2 weeks.
I am really sorry about that and i can assure u guys it was nowhere my INtention to hurt him that badly.
We have done really hard sparring with those helmets like 100 times before and there never was any bigger injuries ever.
Also there is no bad blood between us ! We both know that its part of Full Contact fighting sports that u can get hurt when practicing hard before a fight.
