it would be better if the business men read the note, thought about it for a minute and then minraised 400 bottles back to Ivey who then folded and kept the 400 bottles leaving the tab to the business guys and another note that said "welcome to poker" |

I remember Tom Dwan's wikipedia page had a story where he was on an airplane and asked some guy to borrow his charger for his laptop. And at the end of the plane ride he gave it back to the guy and an envelope with $800 or something. They removed it though.
Not sure if that is true or not. |

There's a great story from Vegas - mid 90's I think (before most of you were born ). Kerry Packer (now deceased) used to play baccarat for silly money (one weekend he lost $16M and he lost $28M in a few weeks in London).
Anyway - Kerry loved betting big and the only place he could do it was Vegas but he liked being in private rooms with private tables. At the time he couldn't get a private room so he was in a high roller area and on a table nearby was a Texan oil millionaire surrounded by his ladies making a huge racket apparently this guy wanted to play Kerry at poker.
Kerry got pretty pissed at this guy and asked him how much he was worth. The Texan said "$60M". Kerry took a coin out of his pocket and said - "I'll toss you for it". |

Apparently this is a true story but it was in a tournament, and it is written in Bob Stupack's book. |
