Yeah so old thread and whatever.

I followed the guildlines of this thread and saved the file as an avi. Now I need someone to add comments (audio) on the video. Does anyone know how to attach audio to an already made video?

record your commentary as a '.wav' with some sort of recorder software ( like the one in the start menu -> accessories ). load your vid in virtual dub, replace audio of vid with the new audio stream your recorded, fiddle round with the timing of the audio so it matches, recompress the video (eg using xvid) and sound (eg using mp3) , upload your vid and post link on LP

ok but is there a way to resave the file as a camrec format as well?

there probably is a way, but it will be complicated because I assume camrec is a propriety format?

hey, when i hit record a box pops up called the z26vfw log console. any way to get rid of this? or shave the first 5 seconds off a video with virtualdub?

hi i dled k-lite codec pack and when i try to tick the x264 codec i CANT FIND IT i dled the full version but it doesnt have that option T_T help please

sliggy might just have to shave with VirtualDub
Darki just use Xvid codec instead. fiddle round with the settings on a 10sec test vid till you get quality you like

I don't see "Techsmith" or "x264" in the K-Lite Codec Pack and I downloaded the FULL.
Suggestions?

I should say to all who read this - I am no expert I just couldn't find instructions to make good cheap videos so just worked it out myself and thought it was worth sharing. I'll help anyone if I can but don't expect too much expertise is all I'm saying
