There's a pretty big contrast between last month and thsi month. I finally started to run good and this month has basically been no struggle. Just win win win everyday. I did go on a 2-3k downswing but I handled it like a champ.

Decided to reward myself for teh good month by buying one of these.

It's a Samsung 305T 30" monitor. Not sure how I'm going to incorporate my 2 "19 lcds to be a part of the setup but I'm definitely excited for it and it arrives on Thursday.

This month I've been dabbling in 400nl. In my previous experiences at that limit, I would always monkey it up and play really lag without really getting ot know my opponents that well. Definitely a big mistake. So this attempt, I just nitted it up and played pretty snuggly while getting a feel of everyone's stats and how they acutally played. It worked out better but admittedly i have been running good.

Here's some stats and graphs:

Hopefully the rest of the month works out well. Gl everyone, and be sure to check out my previous blog if you haven't done so already - I think it's a pretty good write up.

those monitors are designed to autodetect, not sure if snider's are like that though.

I've gotta work on getting my AF down to where you're at, I basically have identical VPIP/PFR but my AF is just way too high

nothing to say but congrats man

I 9 table for about 1 - 1.5 hours a day on average, split between 2-3 sessions because of school commitments. Sure you've answered this before but how many tables/what are your session lengths? I ask because I want to make Feb a 50k hand month and eventually grind grind grind until my eyeballs fall out and I actually SEE THE MONEY IN MY BaNK aCCT!!! Tips??

It depends on my mood. But earlier in the month I was grinding off a bonus so i was 10-14 tabling. I definitely don't think that' s idea and pretty dumb for the most part. Essentially playing so many tables you have no edge and are just playing your cards. For anyone to think "they can do it" is pretty ridiculous. It's break even poker and fpp grinding.

After my bonus cleared, I started playing 4-6 tables and I play a million times better doing that. I usually have a tv show or a movie running on my second monitor and just grind on my left. Even with the distraction, I still play infinitely better if i were 8tabling +

I'll give you an exmaple of a hand where 8 tabling owned me.

So here, i was discussing with some other people the optimal play here is to call and probably check shove a safe turn or check fold if i feel that he had it.

I didn't even think of flatting but looking at the hand after my session before even discussing it with anyone, i thought fuck i should have just flatted.

I ended up shoving and he had me dominated nine ways from sunday.

You just don't get the time to think of optimal lines when you're in a sticky situation and other actions are prompting your attention. Anyone who says they can is lying.

I think that the amount of tables has little relevance to gameplay theory itself, its the technical timing bank that gets in the way when multitabling. From the moment I fire up stars it is an absolute devotion to the client and nothing else. When there is a 5 second period of breathing room with 9 windows out I continue to scan every table for med/big pot history and take notes. What this does is consciosly program your mind to keep track of what to look out for, which players have which tendencies/betting styles/are just splashing for image purposes.

Now subconsciously, when you are faced with a more difficult decision, if I'm lucky (which is often) I've got a note here & there vs villain. There is no need to think too much about my decision because my subconscious has been trained to keep track of everyone, even their moods! Imagine that, I could be 9 tabling and be faced with a decision with some fullstack I haven't tangled with this session, and I've got his freakin mood down. The instructions pop up in my head & I follow through.

This is a theory of how my mind works when multitabling. Granted NL50 players are much more black & white but if the same principles apply, then 1/2 - 3/6 should be no different. Yes, "lol" at the thought of me commenting on those games but I fully believe our subconscious is much more than capable of recording every event. By cultivating these conscious +EV habits there is a lot more to be gained from your sessions.

k, well maybe you can 8 table+ without losing much. But for me, its too mentally exhausting to do a session like that. I'd rather just take it easy.
