Try changing sites. It seemed to have helped me.

I ran well on ladbrokes, then started taking beats - so i changed to party, started winning then started taking beats and just couldnt seem to win a pot - so i changed to PokerStars, and im in the black for the first time in 2 months

you win then lose because nobody knows how you play then they figure you out
if the field is satisfactorily able to solve you it's because you're too simple

I have similar story but not so crazy like urs i think. I was 450+BR in NL25 and after 14 days of my idiocy, i was 40$ . So I took 1 week break to analyze my faults and clear my mind and now rising in NL10 :D

how does that work with thousands of different players?

Only thing about changing sites is that I've played on 3 different sites.

I play the best poker on Pokerstars because the software is total crap on any other site.

I agree about that too, I've played maany sites, but Stars client makes it less being frustrated about the client and more being able to concentrate on the game ;P

At the low levels u don't tend to find regulars, and those who are regulars at 25nl, for example aren't intelligent enough to adapt to ur 'style' Also i don't see how ppl can get a good feel for ur play when personel is changing so frequently on a table...kids get bored. Low stakes is all about playing simple, solid poke - players won't even be observant enough to notice how u play anyway. Also pokerstars does indeed rule, love the software...party is so soft tho

what casper says is significant , also i feel players on different sites play in slightly different ways , just in my limited experience, maybe i'm wrong

on stars 10nl there are definately regulars (well i was playing all day everyday) and eventually i was getting zero action

u get more of certain TYPEs of players on different sites, this is true...this is game selection. The good players quickly move up, if ur playing on stars or party then the number of players is huge so i don't see getting no action as a problem anyway. Pick the juiciest tables to play on, and if ur not getting action then move to other tables

I also am a strong believer in the effect software has on player tendencies.

UltimateBet has the fastest software and a bet pot button, which results in the most aggressive players.

Sites with slow, uncomfortable software are more likely to result in loose, passive play.

I have a hard time deciding whether I should play a site with good software and tough competition or with horrible software and players accompanied by very nice bonuses. For now I chose the latter.

Peace of mind cant be bought.

Bleh, today I lost like 10 buyins on 2-4 and 3-6 and I'm not really that worried.

One very suspicious player

Heh yea well seeing how it has gone recently, I think it's cool I'm playing some $5 HU and NL10. And sure I deserve all this bad luck like Strafe said. Prolly because he's bitter for me being compassional when he got anally ravaged at Stars. But I believe the better days will come.

That's -35 buy-ins over 50k hands

I think Nazgul has had one of those too

For some reason I think Casper has had one of those too

As for me, I ran with far below average luck there, but I also was much worse then. At the time it seemed like all bad luck. Now I know better
