Sick KO by Matt Brown! |
True I put a small +money bet on him prefight and was about to add to it but that KO came out of know where. Was hard to tell how it was going to go at that point.
I've done okay this fight night. I don't do well on sudden knock-out fights. I tend to do well on fights that go the distance - there is usually a short time to get in bets the pretty obvious winner and an even small window to get in a bet on a sure thing.
On DKs the lines are suspended (like everywhere I assume) and kind of open up randomly during the fight as the money lines are adjusted. I don't know how many times, like in the Jandiroba fight, that I put in my wager, submit it as soon as the line becomes available and then watch it as it slowly processes to close at the last second. Gets suspended. Opens again...bet thrown in...processing processing...closes. MIssed out on a few hundred and possibly $1k on bet that wouldn't go thru. C'est la vie but those are the spots I do the bet in. I did hesitate earlier in the rd bc I jumped the gun on Procopia too early and had to bet it back on O'Neil. Still lost a little on it when that is the most profitable type of fight for me.. |

Tough Rd to know how the judges see it
I thought Davey took it...more strikes..TD wasn't really a TD and didn't do any type of damage. Otherwise pretty even Rd just more output from Davey - throwing and landing a lot more strikes.
I'd say 10-9 Davey |

I thought Grant won the first 2 rounds, then lost the 3rd round 10-9 or 10-8.
One judge gave Vera 30-26... I guess Grant bettors were dead before the fight even started. |

Going a tad heavy..relatively ..on Ige pre-
put a little on Ige by sub(+800)....by TKO/KO...etc and also just winner by those methods in general.
nothing on the Zombie yet
Oleinik had me worried that last fight. He almost got it a few times i had to sprinkle a couple bets on him |

another 125 on Ige Live in R1
well I think Vera ran away with the fight and idk it became pointless to give round by round at that time...but R2 was close with the reversal and damage done by Vera
R1 clearly Grant |

I hate being in this position...shifted most money back to Zombie...in a hedge attempt.
Precarious spot but I feel Zombie is too much for Ige now
Having to put around $1k or so on Zombie to win back $100 I have on Ige |

Well, Ige is down 2 rounds and he just got taken down at the beginning of Round 3...
This is NOT the version of Dan Ige that I expected to see tonight. Even though Jung is a different opponent, Ige isn't doing what he is capable of doing... What a sad day. |

gg i think...had to use about $5k+ to win $500 or so.
Still much preferred over any other sport where you never know who is going to win.
I put about $660 on the LAD tonight btw...very uncharacteristic of me but looks like a REALLY good spot...
also put a bit on LAA |

I got smoked tonight. Very fitting considering I am taking a month away from watching MMA since I am leaving to Europe tomorrow.
See you guys for the July 24 card. |

I find I do a lot better to just live bet in most cases unless it is obvious...like in Izzy vs Vettori I pretty much knew that it was going to at the vert least go into the latter rounds so I bet hard on those props pregame ("To Start rd x: 2,3,4,5" )
Tonight I think most of my losses came from bad guess prefight. I do best when I just wait for a good fight that is going to go the distant that I see is over long before it is. That's my strategy anyway. I think I bet more on Ige there prefight than any other fighter and even added to it thru R1 only to have to start moving it over to Zombie from that point on.
Looking forward to the next one.
PFL is neat. I don't know how much you follow it. I usually don't but I caught the one the other night. It's kind of neat because it is set up in a tournament format and the fighters get more points depending on how they finish their fight. They can win the fight and if they don't win enough points in the fight, they don't get to continue. Gives fighters an incentive to go for the finish etc.
I didn't really watch the Rory v Tibeau fight, just caught it from time to time while playing corn hole. Looked like he was dominating the whole time and it ended up being one of those controversial decisions by the judges. |
