Soma is the next and possibly GOAT Zerg. Kid is young and scrappy, aggro but can macro/micro with the best of 'em. Employs tactics like savior, can macro like JD and is as game as Effort is. He just needs more broadcast time imo. MIght be a real hot take but I can sense greatness in that guy

Later today we got great games
Light (T) vs Soma (Z) - Great matchup because Light is strongest vs Z and can beat even top Zergs while Soma's meteoric rise and unpredictable but extremely skilled playstyle is so fun to watch.
Zero (Z) vs Rain (P) - Another great matchup since Zero is one of the top 3 Zergs who is making a comeback while Rain is the best damn Protoss currently

Rain is so insanely good. It's a little disappointing that Zero was never even able to get to tier 3 tech, but I feel some empathy for trying to constantly have enough units to deal with Rain's pressure. I wonder if it was a conscious decision to stay on tier 2 tech for longer in these games or if he just got trapped there by never having enough resources or time to upgrade to hive?
Finals should be interesting. I've seen numerous TvP games from Light recently where he seems like he's way behind and just turtle survives until he can get a 4th base up and then has a super efficient attack and runs the Protoss over before he can remax. I don't think that will be possible vs Rain, but at least it's Rain's worst matchup so he's not stone dead.

rofl that light vs soma game on circuit breaker..... I genuinely believe I couldve won that from somas position after killing cc. def among the worst throws I've seen in a pro game.
Nerves is a real thing though.
Rain looked damn good vs zero, although zero also looked a bit bone-headed. Final has potential to be very good - rain is a favorite, but light is not dead.

what a waste by soma. im not sure how he fucks up those games when he could've just sat on 3 and got a 4th. i felt he was showing off how dominant he was. not even sunkens in the base. i honestly felt like in some games he had like 3k minerals while dying lol

His builds were never really hive oriented.
He took close 3rd with heavy muta and late lurk but still couldn't contain rain / stop the 3rd which is the point of his strat

Larva would have won those games playing with his feet lol.
Those matches were a disgrace sloppy af and full of blunders from both sides, (so was the casting) I guess they were fun though.
