i'd encourage men's rights activists to go around telling people their views rather than just reinforcing them on internet forums.
if you ask children aged 3-5 they don't really have much expectations of what males should do. Moral psychologists asked them if there's anything wrong with boys wearing pink tutu's to class and they said there is nothing wrong with that(as compared to violent acts, which kids this age have a problem with). Imo these kids have a pretty unbiased, unfiltered view on the topic and their views should be taken seriously.

Do you genuinely not care about the opinion of other people? I mean, not like as in 'every individual', but there are a good 20+ people I have relations with that I would feel compelled to think 'hm, I should maybe not do this then' if many of those people thought I was being pathetic, because I respect their opinion. And I guess obannon prolly doesn't respect my opinion (I certainly don't respect his) so he won't care about it, and maybe all his friends and acquaintances are similarly minded out of touch individuals.
Anyway I think you should care about what other people think. But it's fair if you don't care about what I think.

I never considered myself a men's rights activist although I definitely am. It's certainly good to have discussions. Most of the MRA space is pretty atrocious from my viewpoint.
The children aged 3-5 thing is brilliant. I want to interview my nephews and their classmates. I think a lot of people equate being a man to being some sort of breadwinner and of course "growing up" and paying bills. There is something to being the child that I used to know also though. What good is anything if we have no freedom? Being a man is about being a free man who experiences joy. We could get into the emotions and vulnerabilities...
I think it was also Bertrand Russell who said making a beast of yourself takes away some of the pain of being a man. There is some truth to this but I don't think lifting or not is some test of masculinity. I would say after rackpulling 500+ lbs. listening to Rage Against the Machine I feel like more of a man and in some ways in this example I think it is true. But, not true when I would eat 60g of beef protein and potatoes until my stomach was overfull (but, I had to do that to get to 230 lbs. of serious muscle to be more manly). What about when I was fucking a woman and cumming inside of her? I could go on forever. You know what makes me feel like a man today? When I am kind, honest, helpful. We need new role models. My 3 year old nephew is pretty awesome and living life. He's not a bad role model. I've heard people like Terry Crews and Keanu Reaves are pretty good examples and at least in Keanu Reaves case that is definitely true.
I just lost a friend to suicide and I just wonder if he had better role models than Lil' Wayne and some better connection and community we can save some of these "sadboys" whether that's from turning to the alt-right or turning to suicide.

Natalie is a transgender woman or non-binary "transtrender." For me, it's a little complicated to keep up with all that stuff. I figure they know more about that stuff than me so let them run with it. It doesn't really effect me at all what Natalie calls herself or identifies with.
homophobia/transphobia is definitely a toxic masculinity trait. I think if we just whittle away the toxic masculinity the world would be a substantially better place. I think a problem with that is that a lot of the attributes of toxic masculinity can give men a competitive advantage in capitalism so why would they think to let that go or why would they want to? It also applies to dating under capitalism.
Contrapoints mentions something quite interesting about the people she has "saved" from the alt-right, that they didn't become remotely centrist but they re-radicalized into communism/anarchism, sounds strange to swing from one extreme to the other but it kinda shows that these are not usually positions arrived through careful considerations but as an lashout to the percieved injustices in the world.
